PW:S Causing me to Steal spellcasts (Merged)

While using my PW:S on casters(Healers included) i steal the spell cast and deal the damage of the spell instead of them, they reported that their spell never hit when i took it

I got some soul shards too

I was sitting there doing Ony and watching all this dmg come off her...and was REALLLY confused lol. Then saw my recount lol

is this a good time to lay down a few 'bet you i beat you on dps even when im healing' bets and make a fast 3k gold?

My priest stole my growl. Stupid priests need to stop taunting bosses.

This bug is sooo much fun.

Anyone able to steal pets or anything yet? Coolest thing I've seen so far was a pally beacon lol

Confirmed? What? What's going on? This is weird.
I mean is it a bug/glitch/whatever, or did blizzard do something sneaky?

it should be obvious that this is a bug.

Haha, awesome bug. It's a shame they're probably going to hotfix it very very fast, it would be fun to mess around with this one for a couple of days.

Then again, it's not horribly practical, and could potentially ruin good boss attempts - imagine that moronic mage pulling aggro off the tank, only for the tank's taunt to glue the boss to the poor priest. On the other hand it could be useful, especially when you use it on the aforementioned mage - as revenge for the stupid shit he did with that other boss, steal his Icy Veins, Evocation and Mirror Image. And make sure to get Mage Armor before the fight too, before Charging the boss.

What other sorts of spells can you steal with this? Can you perform tradeskill crafts for professions you don't know? Can you steal the learning of someone else's mount or pet? I'd test this, but being in Europe I won't have a chance for several hours.

EDIT: By the way, what spells are stolen - the first spell after you put PW:S on someone, or all spells while it's on them?

After a run of the daily heroic this is what recount had shown me as "stealing":

There are a few others like steady shot, icy touch etc further down the list.

So im presuming its the first special attack/cast after the shield applies to the target.

Re: PW:S Causing me to Steal spellcasts

    I see.

First thing I'm gonna do tomorrow is grab a priest and see if he can steal my Mirror Image. Or Evocation. I wonder how it'd work for that one, actually, considering it's channeled, and the intended casters do the casting here - would I be channeling it and the priest get the benefit, or would it just do nothing?

That's assuming they haven't hotfixed it by then...

Re: PW:S Causing me to Steal spellcasts

    This just in:

The shadowpriest spell priority for maximum dps has been updated:

    1. PW:S the rogues 2. Dot everything in range with a red/yellow healthbar 3. MB 4. MF (not recomended for max meter whoring)

Correctly executed this should get you about 10-12th on the meter, meaning you won't be the 1st one benched from the raid, unless there is a moonkin bringing your only raid buff, in which case you are srewed. :

Have this been hot fixed?! ??? ???
    According to blizzard:

    Paladins : Lovedolls

    Priests : Swineflu
