Assault on Violet Hold
In the aftermath of the Northrend campaign and the Blue Dragonflight's attack on this Dalaran prison, the Violet Hold was repaired and its cells were repurposed to house some of the most dangerous servants of the Lich King. Now, as Dalaran floats above the Broken Isles as the flagship of the war against the Legion, a shadowy threat once again seeks to strike at Kirin Tor from within.

Festerface
Professor Putricide had many experiments seized when Icecrown Citadel fell. At best guess, Festerface appears to be a failed prototype that predated the construction of the professor's two most notorious creations: Rotface and Festergut.

  • Overview - Festerface spews torrents of nasty bile that form into Congealed Goo. When a Congealed Goo is killed it begins to reform and will fully heal after a few seconds. During this time, Festerface can consume the Congealed Goo if he is brought close to it.

      • Avoid standing in front of Festerface while he casts Congealing Vomit.
      • Each Congealed Goo increases the damage the party takes from Fetid Stench.

      • Move Festerface to any Congealed Goo that is currently Recongealing so he can consume the Goo.
      • After consuming a Congealed Goo Festerface will gain Yum!.

    • Congealing Vomit - Festerface unleashes a torrent of toxic bile that inflicts 637,000 Nature damage to all players in a cone in front of him. In addition, pools of bile coagulate into 5 Congealed Goo.
      • Congealed Goo -
        • Fetid Stench - Congealed Goo erupt spewing waves of noxious fumes inflicting 44,800 Nature damage every 2 sec to all players.
        • Recongealing - Upon reaching 0 health a Congealed Goo bursts into a pool of Icky Goo that inflicts 35,000 Nature damage to all enemies standing within it.
          After 12 sec the Congealing Goo reforms and is restored to full health.
    • Yum! - Bringing Festerface near a Recongealing ooze causes him to devour it, removing it permanently.
    • Uh Oh... - Over time Festerface gains energy. Upon reaching 100 energy Festerface loses control of his tummy, spewing forth a Black Bile.
      • Black Bile -
        • Necrotic Aura - While the Black Bile is alive all healing and absorbs are reduced by 100%.

Shivermaw
Rumored to be one of Sindragosa's own brood, this fearsome frost wyrm was captured from the Frostwing Halls of Icecrown Citadel, where the forces of the Lich King labored to create these winged abominations.

  • Overview - Shivermaw uses powerful Frost magic, forcing players to move between the upper and lower sections of the prison to avoid Relentless Storm and Ice Bomb.
    • Damage Dealers -
      • Wing Buffet and Tail Sweep knock players back if they are in front of or behind Shivermaw.
      • Free players from Ice Blocks if they are hit by Ice Bomb.
    • Healers -
      • Tank movement speed is considerably slowed unless Frost Breath is dispelled.
      • Ice Bomb inflicts heavy damage to the entire group.
    • Tanks -
      • Frost Breath inflicts heavy damage and slows movement speed.
      • Wing Buffet periodically knocks back all players in front of Shivermaw.
  • Frost Breath - Shivermaw breathes on all enemies in front of her, inflicting 364,000 Frost damage every 0.5 sec for 3 sec. Enemies hit by Frost Breath have their movement speed slowed by 10% for 10 sec. This effect stacks.
  • Tail Sweep - Shivermaw inflicts 546,000 Physical damage to players in a cone behind her, knocking them back.
  • Wing Buffet - Shivermaw inflicts 728,000 Frost damage to players in a cone in front of her, knocking them back.
  • Relentless Storm - Shivermaw calls down a storm that blankets the upper prison in Frostbite. This effect inflicts 50,000 Frost damage every second and slows movement speed by 30%. As the storm forms, ice comets rain down, inflicting 455,000 Frost damage to enemies in the targeted areas.
  • Ice Bomb - Shivermaw flies into the air and releases an Ice Bomb that detonates after 5 sec. This effect inflicts 819,000 Frost damage to all players. In addition, players in the lower portion of the prison are frozen in ice for 30 sec or until their ice block is destroyed.
  • Frigid Winds - Shivermaw chills all players to the bone, causing them to inflict 273,000 Frost damage to their allies within 8 yards every second for 18 sec. Each ally hit has their movement speed reduced by 40% for 5 sec.

Blood-Princess Thal'ena
Blood-Princess Thal'ena is the daughter of the powerful San'layn Queen Lana'thel. She has been locked inside Violet Hold since the Northrend campaign, suffering the gnawing pain of her eternal hunger. Now that her cell has opened, she intends to feed on the world.

  • Overview - Blood-Princess Thal'ena immediately uses Vampyr's Kiss to infect an enemy with Essence of the Blood Princess. When Essence of the Blood Princess wears off, the victim has a short amount of time to infect another target. If they cannot do so, they submit to Uncontrollable Frenzy. In Heroic difficulty, Blood-Princess Thal'ena uses Blood Call to summon a Congealed Blood from a blood pool. If the Congealed Blood reaches the princess, it does damage to the party and heals the boss. Those effected by Essence of the Blood Princess can instantly kill a Congealed Blood by running through it.
  • Blood-Princess Thal'ena -
    • Vampyr's Kiss - Deals 250,000 Physical damage to the target, granting them the Essence of the Blood Princess.
      • Essence of the Blood Princess - You are infused with the blood of the Vampyr Princess, increasing all damage done by 100%, increasing Leech by 10% and reducing threat by 100%.
      • Frenzied Bloodthirst - The caster must satiate their need for blood by biting a friendly unit, otherwise they lose their will to Princess Thal'ena. Cannot be used on existing vampyrs.
      • Uncontrollable Frenzy - You succumb to the hunger and your will is bound to Princess Thal'ena. Increases damage done by 100%.
    • Shroud of Sorrow - An aura of sorrow and despair emanates from the caster, inflicting 25,000 Shadow damage every 2 sec. to enemies that are not vampyrs. Damage increased for every existing vampyr.
    • Blood Swarm - Hurls blood bolts at random targets that inflict 200,000 Shadow damage to enemies nearby and creates a pool of blood at her feet that inflicts 50,000 Shadow damage every 1 sec to enemies within it.
    • Blood Call - Calls to the blood pools in the area, causing one to coalesce into a Congealed Blood that crawls towards the princess.
      • Congealed Blood - Summoned from existing blood pools in the area. Immediately begins making its way towards the Blood-Princess.
        • Eternal Hunger - The Blood-Princess surges with power from absorbing the Congealed Blood, inflicting 180,000 Shadow damage to the party and healing herself for 8% of her max health.

Mindflayer Kaahrj
This eldritch creature was captured in the depths of Ulduar, ensared as it lapsed into a catatonic state after the defeat of Yogg-Saron. Since Dalaran arrived at the Broken Isles, the monstrosity has mysteriously awakened, and only the powerful wards of the Violet Hold keep its powers in check.

  • Overview - Mindflayer Kaahrj attacks the party with his Shadow Crash and Hysteria spells. At 80% and 40% health, Mindflayer Kaahrj casts Eternal Darkness, ushering in a swathe of Faceless Tendrils to repeatedly damage party members.
  • Eternal Darkness - Calls to the void, ushering Faceless Tendrils through to this world over 1 sec. Each Tendril flays the mind of a target, inflicting 19,500 Shadow damage every second until defeated.
    • Amplified Darkness - Periodically increases Eternal Darkness damage by 5%. This effect stacks.
  • Shadow Crash - Fires a shadow missile at a target, dealing 350,000 Shadow damage to all enemies near the impact point and knocking them away. After impact, leaves an energy field that lingers for 15 sec, inflicting 58,500 Shadow damage every second and reducing healing done by 50%.
  • Collapsing Shadows - The shadows begin to collapse around the previously scarred location, attracting nearby players over 3 sec. Any players caught within the event horizon take 637,000 Shadow damage every second.
  • Hysteria - Strikes fear in the minds of a target, fearing them for 3 sec.
  • Doom - Dooms the target, inflicting 910,000 Shadow damage.

Millificent Manastorm
An engineering genius of undeniable prowess, Millificent Manastorm seems to be the complete opposite of her husband Millhouse. Smart and resourceful, she is a force to be reckoned with.

  • Overview - Once released from her magical prison cell, Millificent Manastorm uses her technological gadgets to overpower her enemies.
  • Delta Finger Laser X-treme - A finger aimed laser beam strikes a random player, immediately inflicting 228,000 Fire damage and an additional 54,900 Fire damage every 2 sec for 12 sec.
  • Stage One: Gadgets Unleashed -
    • Elementium Squirrel Bomb - Millificent lobs an Elementium Squirrel Bomb onto the ground.
      • Explosion! - The Elementium Squirrel Bomb charges up and then explodes, inflicting 278,500 Fire damage to all players. The bomb can be disarmed beforehand to prevent the explosion.
      • Bomb Squirrel Bomb - Several Mechanical Bomb Squirrels are released from the bomb, each charging to a player and exploding. The explosion inflicts 196,500 Fire damage and destroys the squirrel.
    • Thorium Rocket Chicken - Millificent throws a lunchbox containing a Thorium Rocket Chicken.
      • Rocket Chicken Rocket - The Thorium Rocket Chicken fires a massive rocket in a straight line, inflicting 404,000 Fire damage and knocking back players struck.
      • Chicken Swarm Rockets - Miniature rockets swarm out of the Thorium Rocket Chicken every 6 sec, striking all players and inflicting 48,638 Fire damage.
  • Stage Two: A Gnome Scorned! -
    • Overloaded Elementium Squirrel Bomb - Millificent lobs an Overloaded Elementium Squirrel Bomb onto the ground. This bomb periodically ejects Mechanical Bomb Squirrels as long as it is operational.
      • Explosion! - The Elementium Squirrel Bomb charges up and then explodes, inflicting 278,500 Fire damage to all players. The bomb can be disarmed beforehand to prevent the explosion.
      • Bomb Squirrel Bomb - Several Mechanical Bomb Squirrels are released from the bomb, each charging to a player and exploding. The explosion inflicts 196,500 Fire damage and destroys the squirrel.
    • Reinforced Thorium Rocket Chicken - Millificent throws a lunchbox containing a Reinforced Thorium Rocket Chicken. This reinforced mechanical construct is indestructible.
      • Rocket Chicken Rocket - The Thorium Rocket Chicken fires a massive rocket in a straight line, inflicting 404,000 Fire damage and knocking back players struck.
      • Chicken Swarm Rockets - Miniature rockets swarm out of the Thorium Rocket Chicken every 6 sec, striking all players and inflicting 48,638 Fire damage.
      • Thorium Plating - Thick thorium plating renders the rocket chicken indestructible.

Anub'esset
Anub'esset, one of the few remaining ancient Nerubian crypt lords, was captured by the Kirin Tor during the invasion of Icecrown Citadel and imprisoned in Violet Hold. Set free during the Legion's invasion, his thoughts turn only to revenge against the living.

  • Overview - Anub'esset attacks the party and calls scarabs and beetles to assist him in battle. Players must quickly eliminate his minions before becoming overwhelmed.
    • Tank -
      • Mandible Strike deals heavy damage and reduces your healing taken for a short time.
      • Impale creates spikes in front of Anub'esset, which should be avoided.
    • Healer -
      • Mandible Strike deals heavy damage to the Tank and reduces their healing taken for a short time.
      • If Spitting Scarabs are not killed quickly, their Poison Spit will deal heavy damage.
      • When targeted by Impale, move away from other players to avoid damaging them.
    • Damage Dealers -
      • Quickly kill Spitting Scarabs after they are spawned by Call of the Swarm.
      • When targeted by Impale, move away from other players to avoid damaging them.
  • Mandible Strike - Inflicts 3,025,000 Physical damage and reduces healing received by 50% for 10 sec.
  • Impale - Causes a barrage of spikes to emerge from the ground in a cone towards a player. Players hit by a spike suffer 637,000 Physical damage and are knocked into the air.
  • Call of the Swarm - Anub'esset calls ancient Spitting Scarabs to his side.
    • Spitting Scarab -
      • Poison Spit - Spits poison at a player, inflicting 155,000 Nature damage immediately, and poisoning them for 45,500 Nature damage every 2 sec. for 6 sec.
  • Blistering Beetle - On Heroic difficulty, Blistering Beetles will burrow into the fight, fixating on nearby players. When they come into contact with a player or die, they will explode, creating a pool of Blistering Ooze.
    • Blistering Ooze - Players who step into the Blistering Ooze take 275,000 Nature damage every 2 sec. and have their movement speed reduced by 45% for 6 sec.

Sael'orn
These origins of these arachnid demons are not fully understood - scholars who have studied the Legion speculate that they are the remnants of a forgotten race on a world long ago conquered by the armies of Sargeras. Sael'orn is a particularly vicious specimen, and has been tasked with leading the infiltration of Dalaran.

  • Overview - Sael'orn pulls her enemies close to her while attacking them with viscious short ranged attacks. Periodically, her invulnerable phase spider guardians join the fight, attacking enemies foolish enough to turn their backs.

      • Face any Phase Spider that targets you with Creeping Slaughter to stop them from approaching.
    • Healers -

  • Sael'orn -
    • Venom Spray - Inflicts 218,500 Nature damage and an additional 54,650 Nature damage every 3 sec for 12 sec.
    • Web Grab - Inflicts 183,000 Physical damage to all nearby enemies and pulls the targets to the caster.
    • Fel Detonation - Inflicts 327,500 Fire damage to nearby allies.
    • Toxic Blood - Caustic venom erupts from the targets skin, inflicting 156,000 Nature damage every 1.5 sec. for 9 sec.
  • Phase Spider -
    • Creeping Slaughter - A Phase Spider fixates on a target, moving towards them as long as the target is not facing the caster.

Fel Lord Betrug
This ruthless Legion commander stands ready to lead an invasion of Dalaran from within its walls.

  • Overview - Fel Lord Betrug periodically sends players flying to the extreme sides of the Violet Hold. One of these players is chosen for Execution and must be freed or else they will die.
    • Damage Dealers -
      • Stay away from players that are targeted with Fel Slash.
      • If you are the target of Fel Slash position yourself to not hit your allies.
      • When Fel Lord Betrug begins executing one of your allies, hurry to cross the room and free them.
    • Healers -
      • Stay away from players that are targeted with Fel Slash.
      • If you are the target of Fel Slash, position yourself to not hit your allies.
      • When Fel Lord Betrug begins executing one of your allies, hurry to cross the room and free them.
    • Tanks -
      • Stay away from players that are targeted with Fel Slash.
      • If you are the target of Fel Slash position yourself to not hit your allies.
      • When Fel Lord Betrug begins executing one of your allies, hurry to cross the room and free them.
  • Mighty Smash - The caster smashes their axe into the ground so violently that all enemies are thrown about the room.
    • Execution - The caster readies their axe to execute the target. If the victim is not freed from their bonds within 20 sec they will die instantly.
  • Chaotic Energy - Chaotic energies arc from the caster to a random target, inflicting 560,000 Fire damage to all enemies within 5 yards of the target.
  • Fel Slash - The caster strikes with their axe so violently that a burst of Fel energy erupts in a cone in front of them. Players caught in the area suffer 1,275,000 Fire damage.
  • Seed of Destruction - The caster chooses 2 targets, causing them to emit 4 Wakes of Destruction after 8 sec.
    • Wake of Destruction - The Wake of Destruction explodes on contact, inflicting 1,090,000 Shadow damage to all players within 3 yards.
