I don't think you people who are complaining quite understand the point of Ruby Sanctum. . .

It's not designed to be a fresh interesting encounter.
The chamber of the Aspects are all of similar size -- so how many bosses do you intend to fit in that small area?

More importantly, Blizzard has even stated that Ruby Sanctum isn't designed to be a big raid.
It's two (or three) things:
A: Development into the Cata Pre-launch event. (Since Cataclysm is all about Deathwing's return. Deathwing created the Twilight dragonflight. Deathwing also has a personal grudge against Alexstrasza -- as such it's the twilight dragonflight laying siege upon the chamber of the Red dragon-queen. Can't you guys understand this is just an advance into the story?
B: To break the monotony of doing icecrown citadel week in and week out because there are no end-game options for players who can't spend 4 hours clearing.
C: To tide you over with something new to do until the next content patch.

So. . .just relax. This raid isn't meant to impress you with its insanely complicated fight mechanics. This fight is designed to pave the way, storywise into Deathwing's personal grudge.

SHouldnt be called a world first, only US first, since patch isnt playable in EU yet.
Blizzards will prolly change all this

Point being that there actually are other games than WoW around. And there are other things to do. Some people really DO need this "break" to actually figure out that the world is more than....World of Warcraft *cough*

And in my personal opinion, Star trek is pretty good, Champions is fun for the cartoony feeling, City of villains is fun when you have other people to play with and Age of Conan have some interesting aspects that WoW lack.
I play LOTRO because I just like the Lore, not much else.

Blizzard, if you extend maintenance for 2 more hours, are you not afraid that people in Paris might take rocks and sticks, and pay your headquarters a visit?

That, is a bit more pedantic, in my view too however. And it breaks down alot if you expand that mind-set. Who should have the 'world-first' AQ Gate opening? The folks who were there initially, or people who server-transfered to a new realm to cheese the gate? Given the later has a shorter time from the realm being able to open the Gate until it is opened, it does seem like it would be a 'quicker' matter. It is different, of course, since it allows folks to diffuse the time required to actually complete the event off the 'timescale'.

But I'd also contest at the same point, the time to 'learn' [ie, watch dem videos ] the fight is being diffused due to divergent release schedule as well. And then there is the whole deal with everyone that matters learning the fights on PTR before they go live anyway [part of the point of my blizzard's internal test teams actually].

And of course, other factors involved in the whole 'race' that become rather cumbersome to track [extended maintenance per-empting select servers raiding groups from being able to show up, etc].

Not even, a good amount of US realms were down when this launched. So it is a partial US first.

For the heck of it, I looked up the phrasing, and it looks like my wording of it is only found in the US and frankly makes no sense written in text (when spoken aloud it's said in a manner of sarcasm)

I don't think it will matter too much if EU gets Halion down faster once their servers are up. I mean some people will mention "EU actually did it faster ...once their servers were up." However, the deed has been done and in most people's minds Premonition got the world's "first kill."

Also, was premonition messing around ..maybe trying to troll us with that terrible terrible music?
