Tier 11 Models Preview - Druid, Rogue, Warlock
After posting the Tier 11 Stats a few days ago I realized that I didn't do any proper preview of the existing Tier 11 models, time to fix that! This preview isn't official, stuff might be slightly wrong (Gloves and Boots might have a slightly different model, I can't really check that) but it should give you a good idea of what to expect on live servers.

  • I also included the Warrior's helm, the rest of the set is still missing.
  • Sets for other classes aren't available yet.
  • One of the recolor of the Rogue set is bugged on males.
  • I included both Pants and Robe version of the Druid set, you should just assume that the actual set will use the robe model. (They always add pants models just in case)

Druid

Rogue

Warlock

Bonus - Warrior Helm

I think they all look awesome even the warlock tier ...although someone did a remake of the set and it did look better ...even if blizz changed the horns to look normal rather then that strange swish shape it would look a lot better .

So, if I die on my Rogue while wearing that, do I get 72 virgins?

My main is a warlock and I can safely say that the helm is the ugliest piece of $#!~ we ever had. Although I shouldn't complain much because we always had excellent looking sets, except for T6 helm which personally I found it really ugly on a gnome.

I can bet they are working on donator exclusive sets.

Mark my word, this Blue Post will soon come:

"We decided to release additional cooler looking set remodels for real money, because *insert some random lawyer bullshit here*, basically you will get a set from raid, and then buy better looking models for it via real money. And please don't whine, you will not be forced to buy it"

Basically in future sets from raids will look like shit on stick, and if you want to look as a descent player (COOL looking gear) you will have to pay some money!

Warrior helm looks very promising , but do you guys rly wanna be that shinny ?
Druid light blue set is off the scale in terms of looks
And i do believe the rouge T11 is the most strange tier i have ever seen, cant make heads or tails out of it, maybe! just maybe! the rouges are the aly-baba's of the expansion, meh who knows

Can someone help me out.. with this emblem -> points change, should people spend all their emblems now before the patch to buy heirloom gear etc or won't the switch over effect them that much?
  1. Penegal's Avatar
BTW, why are there so many different colors for the sets? As far as I know 10 and 25 man loot will be the same so I don't get why there are so many colors. Can anyone please explain :?
  1. Intwine's Avatar
Erm, it's just like it is now.

Basic set you buy with points, middle set you buy with a normal mode (10/25) token and the basic set part, topend set you buy with heroic mode (10/25) token and the middle set part.

The system ain't changing, only the loot will be the same in 10 and 25's.

I for one like the sets, makes me curious for the other class sets (namely DK and hunter)

    /edit

Ow, offset pieces need a color to
    so that's 4.

This stuff is in beta / PTR and you decided to go with the first version and not wait until the patch was actually going live? People wouldn't have characters to play with if they decided to do something based on the lastest PTR/Beta notes ("I'M GOING TO DELETE MY MAIN, THX A LOT BLIZZ!").

I'm glad about the 1:1 (in relation to new prices) conversion. Wouldn't be that great for someone who was taking a break to come back and notice that he had had the emblems for 2 tier items but can't now afford either.

I'm not sure how to explain to the majority of people without pissing them off - but this is generally horrible design, and the colour choices are vulgar. Any visually-oriented person will remember how too long stays in Ashenvale made you almost nauseaous because of the excessive use of overly vibrant colours.

There are some sets in WoW that were not the greatest design, such as the Warlock T3 and the Shaman T5 and such, but these sets - all of them - so far takes the the prize for being the ugliest in WoW. The problem with excessive bright colours like these, are that you get tired of looking at them extremely fast, even if at this moment, you think it looks good.

Druid set: Looks like a reskin of Warlock T8.

Rogue: Is just horrible. If they wanted to make a nomadish / desert raider skin, it could be done way better, it just looks out of place.

Warlock: Absolutely horrible, the colours are already making me feel nauseous. - Could be a -decent- set with better coloration.

Warrior: Cool model, horrible colouring. Imagine that with a black / orange coloration a la Volcano, it would look amazing.

Conclusion: This is the first tier of Cataclysm, and all first tiers of an expansion usually look lackluster, or like in this case, like shit. However, this is going to be the first tier so at least by setting the standard low it won't overshine the next tiers.

That being said, both t1 and t4 t7 managed to set the bar high, quite a few of the sets were cool (Think Deathknight t7,5) and then they went to top those sets with every next tier that came out (in general, there are always the shit sets, like priest t10.)

But really, it should be obvious to most that it is not the same designers / They were given a timeframe of half an hour minus lunchbreak. / They are all washed up alcoholics on rehab.

I really like them tbh. In the same way that I like Heavy Metal and my brother likes Jazz. I like the colours and you don't.

Opinion =/= fact, so please stop stating it as though it is.

If every player model in Dalaran was rendered as those, 80% of people playing wow would be playing a turn based game. The game already comes to a grinding halt, when a big horde guild decides to assult Ironforge. What do you think would happen to the gw2 engine on a modest pc, that was trying to render a cityraid.

I'm so endless in love with druids T11 <3

Druid set is rather cool and druidish. I like most the darker blue one. Reminds me of stormcrow from WC 3, so clear Druid of the Talon set. So now there's 4 bird druid sets; Dungeon 1/2, T6, T9 and this. Nice change for a while. Doesn't really bother me even I'm feral druid.
(Druid sets by their theme: T1, T5, T10 are rather treeish, thought T1 is overall druidish becouse of antlers and leather details and such. I could perhaps add T8 to this too becouse it's pretty earthy and nature balance themed, I would say. T2, T4 are pretty overall druidish sets with all antlers and so on (T4 closer to Druid of the Antler theme and T2 closer to Feral druid theme). T3/T7 pretty much emerald dream themed and by my opinion inspired by Emerald Dragonflight and meant to honor them (and clearly the coolest druid gear ever). And as I earlier mentioned Dungeon 1, T6, T9 and T11 are bird themed. So we're really lacking only pure Druid of the Claw set with all bear (or other beast) hides and claws and such. Waiting for that.)

Rogue set is okayish thought would need some shade rewamping, but the idea is OK.

Warlock set is hideous. Maybe really warlockish, but I would never wear that kind of helm. I love symmetry more than anything so that helm is... EWW! Look rather evil and damned so does it duty but still the personal opinion is ugly.

After seeing the drawing from warrior set I approve. It's okay but that color scheme should be something else than that.

Not me. I love the intense colors of Un'goro, Ashenvale & co KG. I also loved the intense / bold colors of the TBC cycle.
I hated the boring themes in Lichking cycle.

The dark blue of the druid set looks wonderful (the colors NOT the set itself), though I agree, that it doesn't fit for a druid. Frostmage gear with these colors or Elemental shaman would be perfect.

No. It's not. A class that uses STEALTH and AMBUSHES can't walk around in Sets that emit more light than half of Las Vegas. But I guess they have gotten used to having crappy sets.

Well... do you say that even half of WoW sets are practical and well tought? Tank's plate bikinis? Shoulders sized of mountains? Weapons that are bigger than wielder? They sure are practical. It's Blizzard's and Warcraft universe's style that all armours are as epic and over the top as possible, if you've not noticed yet. :P

I don't think about that practical part of gear anymore. I think only the visual side. I'm sort of artist and othervise very visual person so I like Blizzard rich visual style and bright colors. Comic style is just so Blizzardish. But ofcourse if YOU like more practical looking stuff and that kind of visuality, it's your opinion and it's alright. I just want to mention that ain't Blizzard's design style.

And you need to admid that hell that's better looking than rogue T10. >_>

Warlock and rogue tiers are ok, the druid's look really nice,I like the falling of the feathers...this gives me hope that they saved the coolness that the didn't put in the warlock tier for the Mages finally, lol I hated the bloodmage set.
