Update - Updated the class changes with a couple of fixes/additions. Also, people who bought the Blizzcon Stream should have received the code to redeem Deathy in their mail.

Holy
  • Holy Radiance's healing effectiveness now diminishes for each player beyond 6 within the area.

Retribution
  • Seal of Truth now scales from 9.65% of Spell Power / Attack Power, down from 12.85%. Now deals 9% weapon damage when stacked 5 times, down from 15%.

Priest (Forums / Cataclysm Talent Calculator / Beta Skills/Talents)
Holy

Discipline
  • Power Word: Barrier duration reduced to 10 sec, down from 25 sec. No longer absorbs a given amount of damage, now reduces all damage done to friendly targets by 30%. While within the barrier, spellcasting will not be interrupted by damage.
  • Divine Aegis now also procs from all heals from Prayer of Healing.
  • Grace now increases all healing received from the Priest by 4/8%, up from 2/4%.

Rogue (Forums / Cataclysm Talent Calculator / Beta Skills/Talents)
Combat
  • Backstab now deals 200% weapon damage, up from 150% weapon damage. Additional base damage increased by 33%, from 518 to 690.

Shaman (Forums / Cataclysm Talent Calculator / Beta Skills/Talents)
Restoration
  • Healing Rain's healing effectiveness now diminishes for each player beyond 6 within the area.

Warlock (Forums / Cataclysm Talent Calculator / Beta Skills/Talents)
Destruction
  • Nether Protection now procs from damage absorption from all wards instead of just Nether Ward. When you absorb damage through Shadow Ward, Nether Ward or other effects, you gain Nether Protection, reducing all damage by that spell school by 15/30% for 12 sec.

Fury
  • Heroic Leap now deals [ 50% Attack Power ] damage (up from 100% Weapon damage) within 8 yards (up from 5 yards) but no longer stuns.
    Slam additional damage has been increased by 25%, from 430 to 538.

Glyphs
  • Bloody Healing now increases healing from Bloodthirst by 40%, down from 100%.


Cataclysm Paid Faction and Race Changes

With two new playable races just on the horizon, many players have been asking when they'll be able to convert their existing characters into goblins or worgen. Paid faction and race changes will be available immediately once Cataclysm is released. Realm First achievements for leveling any class to 85 will be available in Cataclysm. However there will be no Realm First achievements associated with leveling characters of a specific race.

There will be a slight change to the way paid services work for goblins and worgen. Goblin and worgen characters wishing to change race or faction cannot be in Lost Isles or Gilneas; they must be elsewhere to initiate the process. There are no restrictions on race/faction change to goblin or worgen.

    It's just a nerf to the difficulty of an achievement - did you look at the raft of class nerfs in this post. Insane in the membrane isn't about difficulty, it's about patience, it's a time sink with a pretty title at the end of it.

    I don't think this is a case of things getting easier - insane is a marginal (if very difficult and time consuming to get) achievement and it's having one of it's requirements taken away It's still going to take a long time to get that. If you were one of the ones who farmed the rep and got the title, then good for you, you can feel all superior to all those who do it now without needing shen'dralar rep. But I wouldn't go so far as to say that this is making the game so much easier when it's an achievement rewarded for patience, and not skill.

    achievements like this are one of those things that sit in your mind on a shelf labelled 'do when i really have nothing better to do' i can understand why people are trying to get this now, it's a 'dammit i wanted that, lets see if i can do it before it goes away' moment.

    Good luck to anyone trying to get it before removal - myself, i've never been tempted. If it weren't for the tabard system in wrath, i'd not have gotten a single faction to exalted lol. I have no patience

    Well I'm gunna QQ and get me a Scarab Lord title and mount, even though I wasnt there for the event on my server ! A fellow guildie predicted this would happen, he's also predicted the removal of all BC heroic keys and easymode, few quests, one daily a day for 20 days Winterspring Frostsaber mount, he's holding back till this happens, and you know what ? I bet he turns out to be right !

    Just an off the wall thought. But with Shen'dralar soon to be "removed" from the FoS. How lulz would it be when in another week after everyone has sold the Librams and PBDs they had, Blizzard decides to re-re-change their minds and put it back in..

    I would poop bricks.

    So on that note.. Does anyone plan on doing the rep grind anyway? I think I am half tempted to do so.

    I love that blizzard thinks they can get away with reusing a bat skin and animation, giving it tusks and some colors and assuming the players will accept that. The sad truth is that they will and they will probably praise them for the "new skins".

    I always knew the trolls were vampires! Serious though that bat form is just too awesome! I'm kinda disappointed the Worgen only get a slightly tweaked night elf bird. Why didn't they make it a full owl or some other bird that has ears. Wait are owls the only birds with ears?

    It only took me 2days to get the Wintersaber mount (@lvl 68, I got it before heading to Northrend on my DK. I wanted to level in style~.^)

    When did Blizz release Twin Peaks? This is the first I'm hearing about it. I thought Battle for Gilneas was the new BG, I didn't even consider a SECOND even cooler BG...

    The druid Epic flight form is amazing. I've always wanted bat mounts for my trolls. NOW I WILL BE A BAT MOUNT!

    Also, the fact that I can transfer my Tauren druid to Troll druid on day 1 of Cataclysm? This is the best post ever.

    I am going to do it. I don't trust Blizzard and hopefully they'll realize this was very stupid. I am almost done with it, I "only" need 16 PBDs more. So yes, if you are going to The Insane, I'd recommend you to do it.

    well you who got insane titels are just mad cause if it remained the same no one could get the achivment and you would forver have the avhiv that no one else can obtain how's that fair to the rest, and to new players, suck it up.

    also glad troll gets bat as flight form as it fits them so well, knda strange there are no bats mounts either as they are the troll racial flying mount, prob some reskins for tauren and ne coming up.

    also nice to see backstab get buffed, it's supposed to be assa's execute but didn't feel like it as it's dmg was same as mut, only more spammable.

    Haha, I play on Daggerspine EU as Horde, I hope you ain't doing the same! If you do I will make my friends gank you, mwahaha.
    And I know, but I liked the Insane part of The Insane. And really, the insane part was Shen'dralar. Seriously, so damn expensive. And I am nto a good gold farmer. I can farm achievements, but not gold!
