At 23:01 on 06/12 your account will be automatically upgraded so you can begin playing Cataclysm.

I'm in Scotland And the above is from the battle.net account page after having upgraded to Cataclysm!

I thought there was a blue post stating that the servers went live at midnight PST. which is like 05:00 GMT? (or something along those lines)

PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO EXPECT!

If its 23:00 GMT, My head is going to implode!

For the US servers you're right.
The EU servers go life at midnight Greenwich time

Btw: looking at the countdown makes me feel good about being European.

The time isnt right for EU. It says 16 hours 30min, which is 03:00 PM CET the 6th, when cataclysm isnt online until 00:00 AM CET the 7th, which is 25 hours 30min from now, same as the US clock.

their forums are down for maint. Probably issues with the upgrade last week.

And to those QQing about the launch time think about it this way

You get your copy BEFORE the game goes live. That means you can install it and have it good to go at midnight PST. The west coast suckers have to WAIT until midnight to even BUY the game, then they have to get home and then they have to install it.

Why not? NA gets every other content patch earlier, it's only fair that EU gets the expansion.

Because the Europeans are such a whiny bitchy bunch Blizzard didn't want to have to deal with the walls of QQ from them. Even though it's totally possibly to have a worldwide release for WoW if they wanted.

Not true, the ruby sanctum patch hi EU servers first by virtue of being locked on US realms until the EU servers were up and running, then after downtime the US servers could get in to RS.
