The skeleton is your starting point, your first layer, and after you're skeleton is completed you add the next layer which is of course the skin. I love to see someone trying to act like some educated forum gentlemen while calling someone a "tard". The things are reskinned proto drakes, just because it's not the same kind of reskinning between say a green and red proto drake is irrelevant. What is displayed is essentially the same model, it's simply skinned with big green flames rather than a traditional texture.

The Fire Hawks, the Raptor, and the Hippogryph are all incredibly awesome looking. The new kitties are fairly cute as well. However, while the new Panther mount is nice looking, he's a huge let down imo. The new Raptor ZG alternative? Epic looking. The new Tiger ZG alternative? Kind of bland. I'd happily sport him, don't get me wrong, but he's just not quite on the level of what I was expecting.

Regardless, yay new pets and mounts!

The difference between those mounts is not their skin, it is simply their color palette, a better distinction would be the Ulduar Proto Drakes versus any of the other Proto Drakes, but even that is not a difference in skin, there were simply different textures applied to the same models.

You obviously do not know the difference between these things, however, as evidenced by your previous post which was positively useless.

Nailed it. The blizz-defense force got served. It's just sad what's becoming of this game since people don't expect more from the leader of MMOs with an outrageous revenue pool and enough teams to do things right.

i absolutely love the firehawks....but whats with the protodrake skeleton.....

I am betting those firehawks are meta achievements for the Firelands raids. Thoughts?

One may be, but not both seeing how 10 and 25 are same achievements now. Most likely one will be a rare drop and an achievement like you said...

I must be one of the few that actually thinks the hawk model looks absolutely horrible.

The big question is, are any of those going to end up being Blizzard store mounts or pets rather than in-game items? I hope not.

I like the looks of those hawks. Well yeah as I saw ppl complaining its proto-drake animation, well I also like protos !
And yeah its same with Raptors and Raven Lord. Same animation but differend skins mwhah.

All this QQ is always hilarious, thanks for that! It's even funnier how all the whiners try to justify their bitching by calling everyone else a fanboy of some sort. Now, I'm going to guess the panther is most likely a placeholder, IMO it is quite bland. I REALLY want one of those fire hawks, even if they share the same animations as the proto drakes!

Why would blizzard go to the trouble of creating new animations for something when they already have animations for something with a near identical body shape and design? It's like complaining that Elekks and Mammoths share the same animations.

Well they definatly took the proto drake skeleton and animation for those firehawks The skin looks flashier than a proto though.
