Firelands raid will not be in Patch 4.1
What I've been suspecting for a while is now confirmed, Firelands will not be included in patch 4.1. This is why you aren't seeing anything about it in the patch notes or on the test realms.

For more details on the decision, read the Full Article on Eurogamer.net

From Eurogamer
Blizzard has told Eurogamer that the Firelands raid – the next tier of endgame raiding progression for the MMO – will not appear in the next patch, 4.1, as it had previously planned.

In an interview at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, lead producer J. Allen Brack said that players were not sufficiently advanced through the raid content that shipped with third expansion Cataclysm in December to handle the challenge of Firelands. He also suggested that Blizzard was thinking of creating "smaller" content patches for World of Warcraft.

"We feel like the player base isn't really ready for the next raid yet," he said. "And that led to some changes where Firelands is now actually going to be in 4.2."

"Our plan is to package... features into smaller content updates and to release them as soon as possible, rather than wait and release larger updates more infrequently," Blizzard added in a statement.

[...]After the interview, Blizzard gave Eurogamer the following statement about the decision to remove Firelands from patch 4.1.

"Patch 4.1 provides our players with access to the completely redesigned Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurub five-player dungeons, where they'll be able to experience challenging encounters featuring all-new boss mechanics, obtain updated epic-level loot, and possibly acquire rare mounts.

"One of our long-standing development goals is to release regular content updates for the community to enjoy. These updates are generally focused on introducing specific content, like a new raid or new gameplay features.

"Our plan is to package these features into smaller content updates and to release them as soon as possible, rather than wait and release larger updates more infrequently.

"The previously announced Firelands raid will be part of content update 4.2 which should come soon after 4.1.

Restoration
  • Efflorescence has been redesigned. It creates a healing zone at the feet of a Swiftmend target, but this healing zone now restores health equal to 4/8/12% of the amount healed by Swiftmend to the three most injured targets within 8 yards, every 1 second for 7 seconds. This periodic effect now also benefits from spell haste, but the individual ticks cannot be critical effects.

Restoration
  • Deep Healing now benefits all heals, not just direct heals.
  • Spirit Link Totem (new talent) reduces damage taken by all party and raid members within 10 yards by 10%. This lasts 6 seconds, and every second it is active the health of all affected players is redistributed among them, such that each player ends up with the same percentage of their maximum health. This counts as an Air totem and has a 3-minute cooldown.

Warlock (Forums / Cataclysm Talent Calculator / Skills/Talents)

Warrior (Forums / Cataclysm Talent Calculator / Skills/Talents)
Fury
  • Precision (passive) now increase auto-attack damage by 40%, in addition to the 3% hit it offers currently.

Items
  • The current healing priest 4-piece raid set bonus no longer requires a target to be under the effects of Weakened Soul for the priest to receive the Spirit bonus. Instead the benefit will be granted each time the priest's Penance spell heals a target.

LOL, I love how you go back on what you earlier said.

"Oh look Firelands will be out in 4.1! Everyone look!" and now "Well for quite some time I suspected..."

    What a load of crap.

This has been my point from the beginning. Heroic modes is a nice tight little package that allows them to dumb down the playerbase into realizing they're not releasing new farking content fast enough.

I really hope it will be one big raid

These are just numbers people. They mean absolutely nothing.
I really wish Boub would post something like this on the front page so that the majority of people whining about this change would actually understand what's going on.

How aren't they releasing content fast enough? A tier of 12 bosses every 6 months isn't fast enough?

Imagine this. You buy me a milkshake. I drink half of it, then I ask you, "Can I have another milkshake?" After you then give me another milkshake, I leave the first one alone and never touch it again.

This is the kind of attitude people are showing.
I like milkshake... thing is, if I let it get hot it's gonna taste like s&%t... In that case i'll prolly order another one... I hope you get the point...

...even though WoW isn't really like milkshake... cause previous tier content ain't like hot milkshake (you can go with it once a week for example)

actually pretty happy about this, hopefully this means my guild will get 12/12 normal before firelands hits. We almost have Cho'gall atm (working on P2), should get him this week, and a few months should be more than enough for Nefarian and Al'akir, maybe enough to get some heroics down.

Personally, I'm glad to hear of this change to the Firelands release date. I would prefer to have a little more time to work through more of the current heroic encounters before starting a new tier of content.

I'm loving the comments about Blizzard being too lazy or incompetent to release content in a "timely" manner. It's so easy to play the victim, isn't it? Big ol' mean Blizzard, denying you a service you rightfully deserve, even though the more likely reason it's being pushed back (other than what they stated) is to allow ample time to fix bugs and deliver a more finished product. I guess some like a filet, and some like a Happy Meal.

You should have eaten your milkshake faster or found others capable of assisting you in finishing the milkshake at its freshest then. ^_-

Ulduar didn't "die" because ToC came to early. Ulduar "died" because ToC was too easy, and that the new 5-man granted raid level gear. Why do harder content when you can do easier and get superior gear?

You people are upset when a new patch comes out too quick and ends the current raids too early. You people are upset when a new patch gives the current raiding time to catch up and allow you to enjoy it.

You people are upset and you upset me. The world is one big upset.

To be honest, I'm glad they're updating more often. Doing the same thing for 5-6 months gets pretty dull, so if we get patches more frequently with somewhat less content, I'm fine with it.

Oh, by the way, if you're complaining about the lack of raid bosses, you're either a big fat liar that's just tired of wiping on bosses, or you need to stop your life from revolving around WoW only.

WoW is big, but not endless. There are other games out there. Try some.

I guess AoE is back .... Why bother nerfing in the first place if you are just going to bring it back 2 months later?

Anyway, if there is no new raid content, im off to rift, and im sure a few other may feel the same.

Datamined: Multi-Shot now deals 118% weapon damage, up from 55%.

Blue: Multi-Shot damage has been increased by 250%.

    Something is clearly Wrong here...

    Increase from 55% to 118% = 63 in difference / 55(Original Number) = 1,145 * 100 = a 114,5% Increase..... Where does that 250% come from?.. o.O

55 * 250% = 137,5% Weapon damage.. ?.. Either blue is wrong or the mined data is wrong

Ferals: Wow i just destroyed that (at the time) underpowered disc priest. awesome.

Community: nerf feral's they're ridiculous (cry cry cry)

Blizzard: wow ferals are actually competitive for the first time in 3 seasons. Better fix that. I know, lets make it impossible for druids to actually GET to their target by making them the most controllable class in the game. Oh and on top of that, we'll change their dmg mechanics around so that they actually NEED to get to their target to dmg them by nerfing bleeds and buffing direct attacks.

    Community: thats a bit better.

    ferals: brb re-gearing resto

Blizzard: haha u know what would really great? if we not only disable ferals getting anywhere other than sitting in frost/roots/etc, we also allow any class with any type of run speed increase to get away from them on the rare occasion they CAN get to their target by getting rid of rake glyph.

community: ah yes, ferals are again useless. much better.

    blizzard: yay community happy

    ferals: ...

    seriously, cmon.

I really don't see what everyone is crying about. Blizzard pretty obviously stated that they're releasing all the content that is ready for 4.1 - ZA/ZG, guild quests, the new level 85 quest line leading to the dungeons - early because Firelands isn't quite ready while they all are, and Firelands will be released at approximately the same time the entire patch was going to previously be released.

It's less them moving Firelands back and more them releasing the other stuff early.
