Ever check out the Armory on the folks whining about the game being "too easy" on the official forums? 99% of them didn't complete ICC on normal until the buff hit 30%, they never did Ulduar, they never managed to down much of anything. So they whine about WotLK being "too easy" and about any nerf in Cata, yet they haven't completed hard content in either expac. It's a really, really odd phenomenon.
I know. I used to like reading MMOChampion posts. Then Cata hit and it went to hell. It almost makes you want to have GW2 or SWTOR to take these people away. I'd love a smaller WoW again.

Who cares if they nerf BWD, TotFW, and BoT. It's old content.

I'll be spending my time in Firelands

However, this game is old now, very old in computer terms. It doesn't really matter what Blizzard does anymore because they're only going to lose subscribers no matter what. Many people have been playing for years, there isn't anything Blizzard can do with the current game that would be anything else than a slight facelift for a short time, everything has been done before and people have seen it all. The only way I see to still keep people playing and moderately interesting is to offer as much content available as possible so that it never gets REALLY boring, just _slightly_ boring but not enough for people to stop and move on to something else.

Blizzard is well aware of this, they'd have to be retarded to not see that the game is past its prime, thus the best way to keep subscribers is to offer as much content as possible to as many paying subscribers as possible. The casual model works best with that because, lets face it, the number of casuals who play now and then vastly outnumber the "hardcore raiders" in the playerbase. Blizzard is a company and wants to make profit like every other company in the world, they WILL do everything they can to keep as many people as possible as paying subscribers, anything else would be simply stupid from a business perspective, and I'm quite surprised that some people actually think that Blizzard will cater to what THEY think and what THEY want, instead of catering to the silent minority who are still paying the same amount. The world doesn't work like that.
I am aware of that, and frankly I'd be just a bit upset with those nerfs, since it's nothing new. There have been many, many nerfs.
But I'm almost sure I'll quit WoW just because this new "premium feature". Really sad Blizz tries to squeeze out some more money like that. And end on this topic, don't want to derail

BLizzard needs to find a resonable way to balance raids and 5 mans. Atm they are not and these nerfs are just a 100% proof that the content was overtuned by miles in the first place to drag the content along.
You have to be kidding right? It isnt the raids its the baddies and casuals. I remember downing Magmaw with blues and some crafted with a rep epic, ya its called mechanics, learn them and the raids arent hard. They werent overtuned they are opening up Icc again aka nerfed cata for the baddies and casuals so they qill quit crying bout how hard the content is. You realize that most servers are pugging at least 10-11/12.

I'm not surprised by these nerfs really. Do you really think the majority of people will still be doing T11 content when 4.2 Firelands hits? The purpose of this was to enable people to get geared up faster to experience Firelands.

ohh i just cant say i dont mind about the changes and content but WOAAAAAAHHH TO THE GROUND BABY! i feel bad for bosses , they really got the bat this time.

But still... where did the people go who made TBC? What was wrong with TBC? Seriously? Cata raiding is nothing compared to TBC raiding...
You should have done Cata raid at its beginning, without any nerfs, you'll see the differrence in terms of difficulty. This is just the first tier, and some world top guild already said that this is the hardest tier ever.

    and Gharld

This overall really is a good thing people. The hardcores have already cleared all / a majority of the content. The casual raiders have atleast did their 12/12. Come 4.2, both of these groups will be headed to Firelands and quite frankly after a month or so I wouldnt be suprised if nobody touched BWD/BoT from either of these group's main raiding teams ever again aside from going for lulachieves in the future. So that leaves us with the flat out bad casual raiders, and alts being geared up to do current, aka Firelands, content. As T11 gear will already be available from JP's at that point, is making the same lvl raids available to all at that point really such a horrible thing?
What about the titles, ach, drake ? These are the prestige and valuable feeling that players got from accomplishing them in the proper time, state of difficulty. Atleast Blizz should remove them like they did in Naxx. But I guess they wont.

And from what I can tell after tested the ptr Firelands bosses, they are tuned for 359, not for 372. So they better tune those bosses up, may be for 372 not 359 ?, or this might not end up so well for hardcore players.

why is everyone raging? whats the big deal? its OLD Content and from the sounds of it, most of you have cleared it already waiting for the next tier to come out. so it does NOTHING to you. it just helps players that might not be as experienced or as pro as you the ability to see the content.

well when u educated a dog in a bad way its hard for that dog to learn complicated things right off the bat.
the content is not hard, however is overtuned as to be first tier of cata its true. you are supposed to learn how to walk instead of running first.
i would expect greater difficulty at the second tier, but now they have to make it easier so we get back the rhythm how is supposed to be, not backwards. but ohh well nothing we can do i guess.

Herp derp, doing research is hard:

With the addition of a new tier of armor and weapons, we want to make the previous tier more accessible in ways other than just a shift of currency type, so we are making item level 359 gear purchasable for Justice points in the upcoming content patch.

Saw a blue post saying they like to see raid getting pugged, when talking about normal raid difficulty around january, and this will obviously help.

(don't ask me to find that blue post, I don't know where to start)

if this is the case, then blizzard is giving themselves a death sentence. why ? i figure they havent released new content because they re waiting for more players to keep up with content, but if they put a huge wall, only a few will climb it up and pass, while the majority will stay stuck there.
this is why they dont want it but they keep doing it @.@

What exactly are you complaining about? If you're a "hardcore raider" the competitive raiding is moving to Firelands, so these changes don't concern you. If you're a "casual", you'll have an easier time seeing content that was previously inaccessible to you. There's no downside to these changes and they aren't "catering" to anyone.

    Exactly.

If you were a hardcore raider, you cleared 12/12 MONTHS AGO, and if you haven't done so yet, I'm sorry, but you're not good enough and you NEED these nerfs.

I don't see where the issue lies.
