A Future for Alcaz Island?
I was poking at the Patch 4.2 game files during the week end and it looks like Blizzard has a couple of plans for Alcaz Island, a new map "Scenario, Alcaz Island" seems to be in the game files.

It looks like the zone will be instanced at some point, and available as a "Scenario". I couldn't find anything else on "scenario" in the game files but it's very unusual to have an additional information such as this one in the name of the Map. The only exception is "Transport:" maps and we could potentially be looking at a new type of instance here.

The "Expansion" field of the Map.dbc is set to "3" and seems to point to Cataclysm content but there's also the slight possibility that it's early data from the next expansion that got mislabeled.


Firelands / Molten Front Daily Quests - Progression Breakdown
A few days ago, Spl4sh3r posted a fairly useful list on the forums to try to explain how much time it will take you to unlock the different phases of the Firelands / Molten Front Daily Quests.

Phases Description
Phase 1 - Beginning
Phase 2 - Molten Front
Phase 3 - Choose between Druids of the Talon and Shadow Wardens
Phase 4 - Choosing the other option from Phase 3
Phase 5 - Choosing "Additional Armaments" (See Firelands Daily Quests Rewards)
Phase 6 - Choosing "Filling the Moonwell" (See Firelands Daily Quests Rewards)

Time to unlock the Flameward Hippogryph Mount - 30 Days

Reminder - RaidComp up to date for Patch 4.2!

    The Molten Front Daily Quests there are only 4 quests so you can only get 8 from within the firelands and 6 from beginning dailies in Phase 2

    The timings for the Firelands Invasion are totally wrong, it comes from the totally wrong listing that you linked and which you did not take the time to double-check. Were you not just making fun, in a later news, of all those news site who reported something about a new expansion without double-checking?

    I had exactly the same experience. It took me 3 days for my warrior and druid to get into the molten front. But when I'm on my DK and hunter, I got on the first day.

    All the 4 chars had finished all hyjal quests before and had exactly the same starting status. I don't know why.

    Also, the timming is terrible for these dailies... makes no sense to open a front against ragnaros if he's alread dead... It would be correct if they released the molten front stuff like 1 month before opening the raid. Right now you're preparing an assault for something that was alread assault lol. It's like preparing an army to kill LK from the ToC chain while there is alread an army inside ICC killing LK.

    and again... it's done by a dk. Isn't it time people just admit they are broken to the core and needs a revamp like paladins. I mean, it's JUST like paladins: They are either too weak or horribly OP (allthough in cata palas have been more balanced ish on that part) Te only difference is paladins spend most their time being UP, and Dk's have yet to be UP, only slightly bad 1 seasons : /

    There's pretty strong hinting that Alcaz is going to play a part in Deathwing's plans if you play through the Alliance Dustwallow quest lines.

    don't know if it has been already mentioned but 'scenario' is the Warhammer Online term for batleground. so maybe they recruited a developer from them and he got confused writing the name

    ??? He/she just soloed a HUGE pack of raid trash that drop mass amounts of epics. Some of which are selling for 20-40k on my server. How is that not obvious?

    Tryed solo about 15 runs = no epix
    Druid from my guild helped with 2 runs = 2 epix (staff, plate chest) and both he rolled -___- I HATE THIS GAME !

    it seems as if blizzs prgression rute is incroorec as i just haded in 150 marks for the 2nd faction today and i got no addition dailies for the 5 extra marks for phase 4 any clue where they are?

    If you have done the first faction dailies you can't do the second faction ones, its one faction dailies per day
