Update - For the record, the international codes 009 and 041 only seems to appear on Blizzard's online games trademarks. This isn't a book or anything like that. It appears incredibly likely based on previous trademarks obtained by Blizzard that this is the next expansion.

Mists of Pandaria
Blizzard just trademarked a very interesting "Mists of Pandaria".

The idea is no doubt cool. I always wondered when they would bring pandarens in the game, seeing how much some of the art team like them. And about the monk as a new class i dont know why blizzard would care about ripping off another thing of dungeons and dragons, they have been doing this since warcraft 1...

If this is the next expansion the name could likely refer to the mist that appears when emerald dream starts to leak into Azeroth. If you read the stormrage novel you would know that it was a life like mist that would consume things and add it to its nightmare. My guess is that the mists of Pandaria is just that, Pandaria is in trouble from the mists and adventurers need to go save it. It will also likely have to do with the emerald dream if my guesses are correct. If this is all correct i would hope for a brewmaster class, monks are overdone.

Doubt they would pay for a trademark just to lead us off track. I have a strong feeling this is going to bring us Pandaren Monks(hero class?)

Yeah, if this is really going to be the next expansion pack, Monk is one of the best candidate for a new hero class ('cause also Brewmaster is a good one)!

Let me reiterate: It's going to be a mobile game or 3DS game or something dinky targeted for kids. You really didn't think they'd hire all those mobile developers just for an auction house, authenticator, and armory, did you?

Blizzards smells that the winds are a-changing. There's lots of money to be had with mobile gaming now, and even more in the future. Making an inexpensive dinky game is a way for them to test the waters. When it's successful, then upper execs at Vivendi/Activision can signoff on bigger projects.

Check the "computer game software, computer game discs" part.

I'm quite sure there'd be a mention of "mobile device" or something in there if it was a phone app.

Ehhh, I don't know why people have such a hard on for an Emerald Dream expansion. For the most part the Emerald nightmare was wrapped up in the Stormrage novel. For them to base an xpack off that would actually be harder than the unknown Pandaria which has limitless possibilities.

I'd throw Pandaria out there to get people off Diablo 3's ass.

Not saying its a Snipe hunt or anything but..

I don't really care if its about the Emerald Dream or not, but in the book they specifically said that the core of the problem was still there and still hidden in the mist inside the emerald dream. The mist in the title could easily refer to that.

You mean like where it says Wireless Devices?

And a comma indicates separation. Software doesn't always need or imply discs.

Implying that it was blizz that announced it, it was some guy who found this out, he was looking for titan project and found this. Get off the tinfoil hat please

I think the pandaren are friggin' awesome! Loved them ever since they were introduced as a controllable hero in the frozen throne x-pack for Wc3!

Nope, Ninja are japanese. Originallly Blizz got into trouble with China for making the chinese panadas with a Japanese theme (samurai style, I believe). That's where the rumor that China won't allow pandas in games comes from. Monk, kung fu, those are chinese styles that have a possibility. No ninjas or samurai, though.

Anyone else remember the samurai panda from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Panda Khan. I thought he was so cool, him and Usagi Yojimbo. I wonder if they got in trouble with China for that one.

Argument from authority is a pathetic way of trying to prove a point. I've been a fan since Warcraft I, Orcs and Humans, and continued to love all the Blizzard games including WoW, even to this day. Does that mean anything to you? I'm going to assume no, because, why should it?

Besides, this is NOTHING but a title of a POSSIBLE "expansion" being released. There is nothing saying what it is about or anything, there are only implications, and making assumptions off that implication are a cheap way to argue.
First of all, I wasn't making an "argument from authority", as you call it, but just replying to the statments of other player who were implying that my previous post was clearly a sign of me not being a WoW fan. Read better before insulting other people, as a general rule.

Second, everybody here is posting about a speculation since the main page of this website is at the moment about a speculation. Read better before insulting other people, as a general rule.

Third, you are reported, because you are just insulting me out of the blue, and this is not compliant with the rules of any civil forum. Read better before insulting other people, as a general rule.

A 3DS version of WoW sounds amazing but pretty hard because it is a huge game (25gb) and has still updates or patches. Of-course the problem for patching or updating could be resolved with the spotpass-feature of the 3DS. But it still is a big game and above all else it is an online game which has never been seen on any portable console by my knowing. But if they could achieve it, i would be very happy and won't hesitate to buy or download it.
