Update - For the record, the international codes 009 and 041 only seems to appear on Blizzard's online games trademarks. This isn't a book or anything like that. It appears incredibly likely based on previous trademarks obtained by Blizzard that this is the next expansion.

Mists of Pandaria
Blizzard just trademarked a very interesting "Mists of Pandaria".

Ugh, the way I view it whatever people want people don't want. Finally, whatever this means, and is Pandas are great! Loved the brewmaster in Warcraft III. And chinese temples and bamboo forests Ilands in Azeroth? Yes please!

How much longer must we wait for Blizzcon to hear an announcement? One month? 6 weeks?

EDIT: Doh, 21st Oct. Too long, I say!

    First new change of MoP

10 and 25 man raids are now replaced with 15 mans.

That was just one blue guy saying that he would agree that 15mans are better. That's his personal opinion, not the corporate opinion.

Did you read the post update at all? It says and I quote, "For the record, the international codes 009 and 041 only seems to appear on Blizzard's online games trademarks. This isn't a book or anything like that. It appears incredibly likely based on previous trademarks obtained by Blizzard that this is the next expansion." Thus it is MOST OBVIOUSLY not a book... I made my name "IAnswerDumbQuestions" Just for you!

You made an account to state something that has been stated several times in the 61 pages of this thread. Who's dumb now?

I think if the "Mists of Pandaria" is the next expansion then obviously yes, Pandarians would probably be the next new race. Odd for blizzard to do so when they have their reasons for not including pandarians in the past...and unusual considering they've done a pattern of "New Race" then "New Class" then "New Race".

But let's say they do give us Pandarians...I expect them to be on the alliance side. New Horde class? Probably *drum roll* Naga or Murloc or hell, even Furblogs.

Before anybody says: "Yeah like that would ever happen." Remember, people said the same about Goblins...and behold! I know people would also say: "Well they already have a furry class." Well they already had elves when they gave us blood elves.

Either way, I think Murloc is the next obvious choice.

How can people say it a pattern if we haven't seen a second rendition of "class." Race->Class->Race->??? Isn't enough to assume a pattern. At all. Now after the next xpac if we were to see Race->Class->Race->CLASS, then this theory would have some merit.

Im thinking all the people who were certain this was the next expansion are feeling pretty dumb right now eh?

Why should they? It's still registered as some form of video game, and that interview wasn't exactly enlightening.

    agreed on that
btw they didnt deny it either

I still find it kind of coincidental that Wrath of the Lich King and Mists of Pandaria were filed for USPTO on the same day, 4 years apart.

My guess, either both sides can play pandarian (choose a side during questing), a new hero class ( I would say brewmaster, but im not sure how talent trees would work), or just new content with just the same old "OMG new izland found and we must claim it be4 horde/alliance" struggle. Bleagh

Wow, I read through that thread you posted and couldn't stop laughing. When you read it, you should go through and replace instances of "cataclysm" with "mists of pandaria" You basically get this thread and every other that's been posted recently.

Yea, but...Cataclysm had nothing to tie together to a running gag in the warcraft universe.

ALSO...they never had a similar quote about Cataclyms as they just said, slyly, they would only do pandas in jest. To compare these two occurrences would be foolish since there is not much common ground on the events surrounding them.

That said, disregarding the above, I believe, now more than ever, that Pandas WILL be somewhat related to the next expac, if not in direct contact, in indirect contact with a long lost civilization on an island. The fact that they actually came out to speak, oh so indecisively, about what the trademark is, hoping to obscure people's ideas throw chaos into the masses to me feels like they want to cover-up, as so much of that was stated on "Cataclysm" in the topic you linked.

Paraphrasing here, but "Pretty much anything with pandas are going to be a comic or book or toy."
Yeah...I mean I guess those that really wanted it could say "HE DIDN'T USE A DEFINITIVE, THERES'S A CHANCE." but then you'd just make yourself look that much more stupid hoping that a game based off the lore is going to have something completely unrelated to the lore. I mean, theyve done crazy unrelated stuff before, but Pandarians came to be after a blizz artist was bored and doodled it. People liked it, became the equivalent of a Clap-trap in Borderlands to a lesser extent. A joke.
