Tier 13 Set Pieces Acquisition

The way tier 13 pieces will be obtained in the 4.3 raid won't be unlike raids past, meaning players will still need to roll on multi-class set tokens. That said, we'll be tweaking the tier 13 10-player drop rates a little bit (for the better) relative to the 25-player version, given that these tier pieces can't be purchased from vendors for Valor Points.

In addition, due to tier pieces not being offered for Valor Points, another thing you'll see in patch 4.3 is a much wider array of desirable non-set loot (covering more slots than prior patches) available from the vendors, for those players who are unlucky with specific token drops, or who aren't interested in raiding—although, once you get more details about the Raid Finder, we hope you'll find interest in having a go.

Keep in mind we do intend to allow tier 13 set pieces to drop for those using the upcoming Raid Finder. Similar to the difference between normal and Heroic versions of tier sets, the Raid Finder set will have a lower item level than the normal and Heroic counterparts.

Set pieces from all three difficulty levels can still be mixed and matched for the two and four-piece bonuses.

Do you actually think that a LFR raid will take lets say 1hour to complete so you can do 24 of them each day?
With the incoming amount of failure you will barely able to complete 1 per 2-3 days and this from an optimist point of view

I'm not looking to do the raid finder 24 times a day, or even more than once a week. I want to know if LFR will block me from entering the instance with my guild as well.

    Rephrased:

Will LFR difficulty have it's own lockout, or will it share it with 10/25 man version?

    Reading comprehension issue?

They said the LFR will not lock you out of normal and heroic raids, but not if it will lock you out of LFR itself. I doubt you will be able to farm LFR raids, so I expect that you can only kill each boss once through LFR and once in normal/heroic per week. If not, good raiders will start farming it like crazy and get Tier13 in one week

As a 10-man raider i'm bloody chuffed to hear that they're having a look at the token drop rate statistics.
So far my guild has had 10 kills on Majordomo Staghelm - 8 of the token drops have been Vanquisher with 1 Protector and 1 Conqueror....bloody rediculous and I really hope it's a bit more balanced with the next tier.

I appreciate Vanquisher needs to be slightly higher but not 8/10 chance. Here's hoping the fix with Tier13 will produce more varied token drops .

LFR doesn't share lock with normal and heroics, no.

That "solution" to try to force players into raids is full of holes... I know people say to just try once before dismissing, but really? So many problems already pointed and solutions that we know won't work... WoW is no place to try things that way. Cataclysm is perhaps the worst expansion EVER, because of those stupid ideas being put to test in LIVE. The only positive stuff from this expansion is the 1-60.

Well If they are going to have the tier drops from Raid finder be lower item level they should make raiding with raid finder easier than a pug raid, as in either give us the dps/health bonus like in pug groups from dungeon finder or lower the bosses health and damage dealt.

It's RNG, we had like 5 Protector, 2 Conqueror and 1 Vanquisher from Raggy.

Agreed. They keep trying to make it easier and easier for everyone to raid.. when that is not the problem. The problem is that there is no challenging content for solo players. They should have kept raids challenging for raiders, but actually made solo dungeons that were fun and interesting, along with quests that were challenging. Instead, they dumb down raids and at the same time make quests absolutely silly easy. The firelands dailies were the biggest waste of time ever, killing mobs in 2 seconds.. it was just a chore to get people to log in every day for 20 minutes.

I would much prefer if they allowed solo players to have challenging content, without pushing us to do raids. Still don´t understand how games like DDO can have very challenging solo dungeons and have raids at the same time.

So after so much complaining about too much tier gear and qq about killing the same bosses several times per week in icc and toc we´re now "basically" back to the old system (more or less). Quick gear making easy for raiders to overgear bosses really fast.
