WoW Turns 7! Anniversary Tabard now available in-game

You guys crack me up, OMG BLIZZ IS NOT GIVING ME SOMETHING AWESOME AGAIN, QQQQ!!!!111. the fact that they gave you anything at all is more than most games out there. Your monthly fee pays for the game content and service, that is all. nowhere in the service agreement did it ever say that you are due any free gifts or pets. I think if they are going to give out an awesome pet or such then you should have to have been here for the whole seven years to get it.
If you just started playing this year then why should you get the same as the people who have been here for all seven? But being as how Blizz will not do that because it would not be fair to all. I am good with the GIFT they are giving me.
And for those of you who keep saying "Well I was going to resub for another month. but not now". DO us all a favor and don't. If you are unhappy with the game then don't resub. Then those of us who are actually enjoying the game will not be brought down by all the whining and complaining while online.

It was, but have you looked at the amount of people that actually managed to get the original tabard? A VERY small amount of people, hell I wonder if any of them still even play.

I hardly think it's going to be a huge problem.

People will always complain about everything, Blizzard can't please everyone.

Hmmm, let me see if I can break this down so you can understand it a little better.
1 I am posting on a gaming forum, not writing for the local news. I really don't care about the grammar being perfect.

2 I am a warrior, so I run on rage. Therefor less is not better. ;p

3 I am a bit overgrown, or so my wife tells me atleast. But hey it is the holiday season and this time of year my ft pants just become my pants.

4 If someone who has been playing since vanilla wow,( but also understand that the game will not last forever) so I enjoy the content that they put out for me and my family to play is what you consider a FANBOY, (whew, I almost had a grammar lapse there.) Then yes I guess you could say I am one.

Some games don't even reward you for logging in on their anniversary, eesh, be happy with what they're giving you. EVEN THOUGH LOL It's pretty silly that, I guess the effect, will only last for a few weeks.

Do people understand Blizzard doesn't have to give us anything... right? Who cares what it is. If you have an alt you want to level for a bit wearing it, cool. If not, a FoS and done. Who cares? Do you need bells and fireworks, with a slew of vanity pets and a new mount?

the visual tabard buff is permanent it just requires you to have the feat of strength to use.

Yeah I hope you're right about the "not-still-playing" part because the guy that won on our server (horde side Darksorrow-EU) was the biggest douche in the community back then and would not let this slip =)

Yes back then if you had the best PVE gear ever, and had like a spare 24 hours a day to grind Honor, you too could be in with a chance to win an awesome prize.

So now if you MMR-exploit your way in the top of the ladders you get a mount? How is that better?

This tabard is the final killing blow of world of warcraft the original devs would never give this tabard out to every one as a 7th gift it was original given out for on of the most original and special times and players in wow the most honourable kills in the first PK system this is absolutely disgracfull what the new dev team on wow has done you have destroyed this game and should be ashamed.. but theres no need for the early playerbase of wow to complain and tell you what you have done is wrong because we have all moved on to bigger and better things.Over the next 6 months i expect 6million or more will quit wow and we will likely see a rushed announcement of Titain in this time frame and perhaps some permotional link with D3/wow/Titain to encourage players not to quit.WOW devs you should be so ashamed of what you have done to this game over the expansion years. its truly disgraceful. i think that in this time of sadness all the wow population should realise whats going on and de subscribe and put this game to rest with honor and not let it die a slow death.Wow is Fin

Hehe... Fun issue: Oceanic servers have a later server time than the instance servers. If you get the item, and then go into an instance, it's in a time frame -before- the event, so it disappears. I feel sad now for not thinking of that. Any other Oceanics, don't take this out until later! :P (Gonna ticket a GM to fix this, but this probably should be foresighted by both Blizzard and myself)

I'm seeing this as an incentive to get off my virtual butt and finally work on my Netherwing, Sporeggar and Skyguard rep. So it will assist me in getting 2 vanity pets and a mount. Can't see the bad in that
