Top level WoW players are on the same level as top level Scrabble players. People who try to act as if it's cool to be a top WoW player are as sad as those people who think it's cool to be a top level Scrabble player. Actually, the Scrabble players are slightly cooler as they at least have to leave the house and interact with real people.

And that Chuck Norris commercial is epic. Although I still prefer the WoW themed truck commercial.

Pretty goofy commercial. Seems to be pandering to the existing player base rather than trying to get new people to play. The revamped 1-60 zones combined with the dwindling player base seems like one of the worst uses of resources ever.

Speaking of bad resource management, if that human character model isn't used for anything else other than this commercial that is airing before we get a new raid to fight clones of Vezzax, a boss from stonecore, a tauren male, a female worgen, and every dragon model ever I am going to pissed at blizzard.

Yes. That is why competitive video games are Sport. I am an avid StarCraft II player and viewer, and it is as good if not better than any sport in the world. Simply because it lacks an intense physical aspect does not mean it doesn't contain all the other aspects which make sports exciting. Many eSports involve vastly more mental activity than any sport. Also, eSports require incredibl fine motor skills.

There is no reason to argue that video games are sports, because by definition they are not. But, I would argue that some competitive video games such as StarCraft II are as good if not better than many sports as a competitive game and in regard to its view-ability.

If you are being picky, e-sport then, the definition of sport was done in a time before computers. Times change and we do have e-sports now that differs mainly in the athletic part, other than that it requires training, skill, teamwork in some cases, and it is competitive much like any sport. The money part of it was simply to show that there is organizations that takes games seriously enough to hold competitions in them with monetary prizes high enough to put some peoples yearly salary to shame.

Sports such as Darts or Snooker as just as or possibly even less athletic as Gaming.

Also lots of dictionaries would use the words "physics exertion", which could include gaming as you exert yourself physically to some degree.

No...just no. You don't compare Chuck Norris to the Dos Equis guy...you compare the Dos Equis Guy to Chuck Norris.

Chuck Norris "facts" predates the Dos Equis guy. 2005 for Chuck, versus 2006 for the Dos Equis guy.
