Patch 4.3 - PTR Build 15176
A new patch is being deployed on test realms and it brings most of the classes changes announced earlier this week. Feel free to go on PTRs and try them!

25 Man
  • Stomp: Splits 2300000 to 2700000 damage between all targets within 25 yards. Morchok's current target and their The two targets closest ally will to Morchok take a double portion of the damage.
  • Void Diffusion: Deals 540000 Shadow damage split evenly between units. In LFR mode, the base this damage dealt is 50,000. does not split.

25 Man Heroic

    Can you say Hunter buff? BA got a huge buff(Moar LnL!) and 700 AP is pretty important as well...plus, Deterrence is somewhat feasible now.

    Completely unnecessary nerf to Fire mages. I guess it's too much for some people to handle that Mages could show up as two potential specs and churn out similar DPS.

    What does the 6, 3% mean? When I last checked here it was 6% for both Pyroblast and Fireball, but now it shows 6, 3% for Fireball and 6, 2% for Pyroblast. Is this just a typo?

    Probably European notation, should be 6.3% and 6.2% respectively.

    "should" that's implying that the other is wrong, either way is correct

    If I'm reading the notes correctly, it appears that the cast time on using the wand has gone UP to 0.5 sec, not down to instant. That's what the tool-tip hover seems to imply anyway.

    The morchock change isn't a nerf, just a tooltip fix.

    The mage nerfs are obviously correcting the over-buff they got in 4.3, 17% increase i believe it was.

    Someone said something about wands being an instant, but much like multishot before Cata, it is instant, but it has a short cast time so you can't use it while moving.

    The black arrow buff was just to give it priority over explosive trap for single target fights, and it didn't increase the dmg, just gives it more chances to proc LnL.

    Those numbers don't seem right though for Fireball and Pyroblast, Firball definitely DOESN'T have a 1.5 second cast, and Pyroblast DOESN'T have a 5 seconds cast.

    Poor fire mages, they're not the strongest single-target and strongest AOE spec in the game now. It's so unfair!

It was really stupid, not worth whining about on the forums, but should have been fixed loooong ago (especially for warrior tanks prior to heroic throw)

    EDIT: Maybe I misunderstood, you probably were just pointing out that the change is old news.

    Well the mage nerf is hardly surprising, must be some other classes worth checking out.

    So Stomp does less damage on 25 man normal than heroic? I think there's a problem there

    The Morchok change isn't a tooltip fix, it changes the mechanic. However, I don't believe anyone takes a double share of the damage on 10 or 25 normal difficulty. Or am I mistaken?

    Yep it does less! But for a good reason...

    It does less dmg because it's split between only half of the raid...since you have to deal with Morchok AND his twin - so it's actually MORE dmg split between fewer players.
