Blizzard Store: Heart of the Aspects Mount now available

Saw it live yesterday night, looks fricking huge, quite shiny, funnily enough all those snowflakes with FL mounts will get outshined, so that's one more good thing! 20EUR may not be much but I have never paid rl money for any Blizzard fluff and I will honour that tradition. Instead, I'll buy the new Meshuggah special boxset!

seeing how alexstraza gets her ass kicked trying to defeat deathwing in twilight highlands, this chromatic dragon would have made a MUCH better glory reward for a raid where every aspect is involved.

Would love to win the mount. My luck has been rather bad lately. It looks beautiful nonetheless.

wait, there is no achievement linked to this mount? i mean if people actually buy it, they should get an achievement for it aswell, because recruiting a friend and getting the rocket mount also gives an achievement, which also involves spending money...?

It isn't subjective. The point being made wasn't, "this game is failing!!!!" as your post implies. The point the poster was making is that... Well this game is pay to play. The one thing that separates pay to play from free to play is... The fact you pay to play all the content. But with WoW that just isn't possible. The whole appeal of a Pay to play game is that you pay, and have access to all content. Free to play they nickle and dime you to death. The common rule with f2p's is "free to play, pay to be good" unless its a private server. Thats just the facts. With wow, not only do you pay for rehashed content, but any NEW models for pets and mounts come from the blizz store. We pay for the content to be in the game, Not pay to USE the content while having to fork over MORE money to them to buy it. Yes, I know you dont. "have to have it" Thats not the point im making. The point Im making is that we pay to play the game and have access to all the content and we dont. As the second person I agreed with (avpaul) said people buying the mount promotes the devs to be lazy. Because why should they deliver new content, new raids, new dungeons to keep people paying and playing when they can easily milk out almost 2 months worth of subs with a new pretty mount that people just line up to buy. Blizzard is milking it for all its worth because they know the state of the game is crashing, proof of that is losing 100k subs in the biggest "sales" time of the year while also losing OVER 59m in diablo sales. That isn't subjective. Thats exactly how it is.



Almost 2 million subs lost in a 12m+ population isn't exactly Miniscule. People are leaving for a reason. Yeah they are business folks and they wont stop doing this anytime soon. Not while theirs a little milk left in the tit.. But we pay to play. Not pay to be nickle and dime'd. After a while people will start retaliating, they'll do it by taking their money elsewhere and its already started to happen. blizzard can either continue and wow will crash, or they can fix it. But honestly I think its a litle late in the game for them to be able to fix it. Vanity or not. We pay to play, yet all resources get spent on more mounts for the blizz store vs actual content to justify our subscription fee.

Micro transitions should only exist in a f2p game. Having this sort of transactions on an already p2p game is just ludicrous, specially considering the values. but hey, if people go nuts and pay 20€ for every new shiny mount or a bit less for pets, why wouldn't they? It's pure genius.

My reaction when I see one of those:
- Celestial Steed: oh, look, guy is mounting a 20 euro.
- Aspect Mount: oh, look, another 20 euro mount
- Tyrael's Charger: oh, look, Annual Pass subscription mount (even tho I have it too)
- Spectral Swift Tiger: oh, look, x00 euro E-Bay mount..

I don't see mounts there, all I see is the amount of euro that people mount. And I don't say it because I cannot afford them and I speak of pure jealousy. For me it's not a big achievement to show that you can spare $25/20 euro for a mount for a 5 min glory. Those mounts loose their uniqueness and epicness because of store origin. If all that is required is a valid credit card so what's the fuss?

Make it drop from Deathwing HC hardmode or even better - as a reward from an HC meta achievement and then it will be Epic one. But when every guy with deep pocket can have it at level 20...

Btw, its actually not a new model.... The flying animation is from the spirit of competition pet from back in the days. Man, blizzard. You cheap basterds!
People who buys this mount will only encourage more of this shit, we need to start some kind of protest so that not only spoiled kids can enjoy this game to it's full potential.
