Account-wide Mounts now on Beta
It was announced during the Mists of Pandaria Press Tour that mounts would become account-wide on release or in a patch shortly after. It looks like it will be release after all, and the feature is now available on beta (but heavily bugged).
I present to you, my mage riding my paladin's mount! (Obviously, we have no way to know if this is intended as part of the account-wide mounts)
Pandaren Voices now on Beta
Pandaren Voices are now also partially available on beta. For the moment only a few NPCs will talk to you but it should give you a good idea of where the game is headed for their voices.

Scarlet Monastery Cathedral bug on Beta
Yep, the collision on the cathedral door is indeed totally broken and you can't get to the last boss. We'll fix this as soon as we can, but it might take a beta update or two for the fix to reach you all. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)
PvP and bringing the "War" back in World of Warcraft
We're with you on the idea of getting people engaged in PvP again within the world. As I've said previously though, we have to be careful about how we do that. We'll hopefully have more information for you all on what we have planned that will assuage some fears of those who aren't very PvP passionate, while (hopefully) still making PvP compelling for those who do love taking part. (Raises her hand) While we have many players who enjoy PvP, we have a larger contingent that enjoys PvE more. That makes maintaining balance between the concepts a bit more challenging, but we love challenges.
As far as the story goes, we've talked a bit about that and what's coming is twofold. War is coming to Pandaria, which (while it's had its strife in the past) is largely a peaceful region of Azeroth. That's going to change as the Horde and Alliance start stirring up the dust of the past. Beyond what happens in Pandaria, the Horde and Alliance will be at each others' throats once more. We've mentioned it many times before, but we really do feel that the "war" of Warcraft is going to be featured a bit more prominently in the story. It may not necessarily translate to all out chaos in a direct PvP way, but it will definitely be seen playing out in the storyline itself.
Again, we'll try to bring you more information specifically about the PvP end of our plans (more detail of what was heard from the press event) and get everyone caught up to speed on what we hope this will mean going forward. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)
I can't say I like this. For me, it feels like they're yanking content out of the game, things to do. I can see why people are happy about it, but it just doesn't feel right to me.
I know what you mean by "tanking content out of the game". I've farmed 2+ of some rare mounts and wouldn't mind farming them again on other characters. Same thing about account wide achievements (got Salty on 3 out of 4 level 85s, considering doing it on last alt too).
However, being able to use my favorite mounts on all characters in my opinion outweighs downside of account wide mounts. Can't say the same about account wide achievements, I think its a bad idea.
Does this mean that if i level a human paladin that my draenei Paladin can have her horse back!!!! (cause the only faction/race paladin mount that sucks IMO is the draenei one)

lol ya and what about the argent tournament reskin mounts? I realize one was paladins only but we still had a paladin mount available to everyone.
Woah hold on this is likely a bug, I believe you will be fine still =)
Oh really?? I was actually kidding and wasn't a biggie but I did think it was stupid that other classes could ride around on pally mount or my beloved dreadsteed.
I really hope they allow you to use class-specific and profession-specific mounts on other classes as long as you've obtained them. Some people say that feels wrong, but I couldn't disagree more. Any character can ride a mount that already looks similar to the class mounts, with the exception of the winged steed of the Ebon. There is also the fact it's very unlikely that the classes ride their class specific mounts with great consistency anywho because of all the options, so give them more chances to shine. Simply put, if you earned it you earned it, and I hope Blizzard uses this philosophy more and more.
I'm on the fence about the other factions mounts (though they will with 99% certainty not allow that to happen.) On one hand, you'd better beleive I wanna ride a trike and wolf on my human! However, to do that I would pretty much have to recollect about half the mounts I already have due to them being obtained in the same way.
Account-wide mounts??? Is this going to be like BoA Herilooms which in fact are bind on server?
I believe one of the devs said (during one of the Blizzcon 2010 interviews?) they [Blizzard] want the mounts to be available on a Battle.net account level, which to me sounds like every character you have, irrespective of server. I might be wrong of the source, and might have misinterpreted the intention, but I doubt it.
The sole reason heirloom gear is currently "bound to a server" is the lack of ability to mail between servers / having to resort to a server transfer to piggyback heirlooms over to a different server. The developers DEFINITELY said they want to get away from utilizing the in-game mail system as a means to funnel the heirlooms around from one toon to another.
Although they have not direct said this, I theorize that the heirlooms will take an approach similar to the interface the mounts do.
You'd have an interface/menu display showing what is appropriate for your class.
(e.g., cloth armor for mage/priest/warlock and the appropriate trinkets, back piece, weapon(s) you have purchased)
Then you'd simply click through / the item would be be equipped to you as if you had the item in-hand.
(The application [the way the code would handle "giving you the item(s)] would be more like a spell effect.)
Think of it like when you use Leyara's Locket to transform into a Druid of the Flame.. except now you have the BoA gear on your toon instead of being transformed into something else like the locket would.
If it is indeed handled this way, it would allow people to "reuse" the same heirlooms for multiple characters, eliminating the need for grinding Justice Points like a madman over and over to get each character his/her own gear-set / avoid having to strip and mail every time you wanted the gear on a different character. It would remove the need for using the mail system to transport the gear - making it MUCH safer and more convenient for everyone.
Again, it's only theorization - I do not have any sort of inside information. It's just guesswork based on thinking about what they've said, plus bantering the subject about with my wife several times since the mention of mounts going account-wide came onto the radar.
AWESOME Though I think that class and profession restrictions still should apply...can't imagine a dk on a pala mount or vice versa...but other than that awesome!
What about reputation mounts which require exalted just to buy it? Will those mounts require exalted rep even on other chars as technically the requirement to obtain it is not met?

Not at the moment. All my chars can ride the netherdrakes, without rep. No telling yet if this will change later.
