Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Please note that PTR testing is restricted to World of Warcraft game accounts that do not have access to the Mists of Pandaria beta test. You can find more information on this here.

General
  • Account-wide Achievements, pets, and mounts
    • In Patch 5.0.4 and beyond, the majority of your character's Achievements, pets, and mounts will be shared with your other characters. Please read: Bringing Achievements to the Account Level, by Greg "Ghostcrawler" Street

  • World Event: Attack on Theramore Isle
    • Warchief Garrosh, obsessed with assuring the Horde’s supremacy over Kalimdor, launches an all-out attack against Jaina's island home of Theramore. Though valiant Alliance defenders rush to repel the sudden onslaught, they’ll soon find themselves unprepared for the terrible scope of Garrosh's true plans…
    • In the Public Test Realm, we will be testing this event at specified intervals. Keep an eye on our PTR Feedback forum for more details as they become available.

  • AOE Looting
    • Area of effect looting comes to World of Warcraft with this patch. After killing a group of enemies in close proximity, when you loot one of their corpses, the loot window will include items from all of the nearby corpses for which you have loot rights.

  • BattleTag support in World of Warcraft
    • Players who have enabled their BattleTag will now be able to:
      • See BattleTag friends in your friends list.
      • Add and remove BattleTag friends.
      • Send BattleTag invites to other players via right-click.

Classes
  • All classes have been updated with a new talent system, improved abilities, and spells (accessible throughout levels 1-85). Your character's talents have been reset.
    • Many old talents have been converted to specialization abilities.
    • Druids now have access to a fourth class specialization: Guardian.
    • New spells are now learned automatically. Class trainers are only needed to change talents, glyphs, class specialization, or to utilize the dual specialization feature.
    • All characters now take 30% less damage from other players.

Currency Conversion
  • Coming soon.

Items
  • Spell Penetration has been replaced by PvP Power on existing items.
  • Head enchants removed
    • Enchants that modify the gear in your head slot have been removed from the game. This includes older head enchants of every type.

  • Relics, ranged, and thrown items
    • The slot in which ranged, relics, and thrown items were previously equipped has been removed. All weapons should now be equipped in the weapon slot.
    • Ranged weapons, including wands, have been adjusted to be more powerful.
    • Ranged weapons no longer have a minimum range.

Professions
  • The glyph system has been updated. Many class glyphs have been added, altered, or moved to different glyph types.
  • Prime glyphs have been removed.

User Interface
  • There is a new user interface for your mounts and pets.
  • Character creation screens have been updated.
  • Buffs have been consolidated in the UI.
  • New roll results frame added. This new feature can be accessed by clicking the word "[Loot]" in chat, or by typing "/loot".
  • The PvE queue frames have been unified. You can now queue for dungeons, raids, and other queue-able content in one handy place.
  • Vendors now offer item filtering.
  • Spellbooks have been updated to reflect changes to core abilities, and now include a brief overview of specializations.
  • The Dungeon Journal has been expanded with information on all pre-Cataclysm encounters.
  • A new help system has been added to many frames. You can toggle this on and off by clicking the "i" button in the upper left corner of the frame.

Yeah... that's cause he's being wrong! Anyone above level 5 can use the feature once he pays the amount of 100g.

Seriously Blizzard? You'd think that after seven years they'd be past bugginess like this.
    A. It's PTR
    B. Everyone and his grandmother are currently trying to log in at the same time, which probably cause the majority of the DC's anyway

B is often also the reason why first days of major patches and expansion launches are often unplayable

is the PTR not avaliable in EU ? my PTR i had installed previously after i updated it now saying 5.0.3 :S

Yeah, it's unplayably buggy right now. After waiting in 15 minute queue to login, I just keep getting d/c'd after roughly 1-2 minutes of being ingame. And after 2 d/c's, it just keeps giving "You have been disconnected" errors during the login process.

Guess I'm waiting a couple days to actually test anything.

actually, pet battles are a feature of MoP and therefore not apart of patch 5.0, 5.0 includes systems and other changes coming to the game as a whole, not MoP features.

This post is so much fail I don't even know where to begin.

Do you even know what a test realm is? You just signed up to test the stuff to help Blizzard get it into a shape ready for paying customers. "Sure guys, I can be a tester for you".

And then you come in with the entitlement attitude of a 5 year old who thinks that stuff is going to work as if it was some kind of friggin live realm. THE WHOL PURPOSE OF TESTING IS TO GET THE PROBLEMS FOUND, kid. Not to provide a perfected toy for you to enjoy a month ahead. If it was already fine, why would they test it at all???

You sign up as a guinea pig.
Then complain that you are being tested on.

    GG kid.

With the PTR now available, i'd like to remind everyone of the existence of MoPAndBugget, or MAB for short, a small application i created when the beta went out several months ago. I recently updated it to 1.3.6 with a few small bugfixes, and it's still a somewhat valuable tool for those intending to report bugs (and it's not specific to just the beta, it'd be suited for PTR too); http://www.innuendo-eu.co.uk/index.p...s-of-pandariaq

It should work on just about any Windows XP (or later) system out there, and even my parents 5-year+ old laptop with basic integrated graphics and a slow dual core can handle it. It's fairly simple to use;- Just fill in the details on your bug and click "add as new issue". Once you've added all your bugs, click "Copy one-by-one (preferred)" and follow the on-screen instructions. I strongly recommend this method as adding a list of bugs to the forums in a single is frowned upon by Blizzard.

Updating an issue is as simple as selecting it from the list, changing the details, and clicking "update issue". All bugs are saved automatically when added or updated. Adding an image to a report is supported and there's no need for you to manually upload it (images are hosted on ImageShack as their "API" allows more uploads than any other comparable site -- would have used imgur if they allowed more uploads per api key).

I'd advise you not to use it to report issues such as "long queues" where it's not specifically a bug (long queues are simply the system being overburdened, and not a bug as such), but rather use it for in-game bugs that the developers can fix. You'd be surprised how much easier the job of developers becomes when things are easy to read and formatted properly. The more details you can provide, the better, but this tool saves you the effort of making it readable (and of keeping track of the bugs you've logged along with which ones are open, resolved, and which have been reported).

    FB Like that.

Beta means we're working for blizz 4free. If you find a bug, inform them and wait 'till they fix it.

Well... beta's working fine now. Just a little lag.

Actually, they won't require MoP. They just don't have them available on the PTR. But, you don't need to buy MoP to enjoy pet battles.

I doth inquire to thine state of agitation, male sibling.

If you had cared to read my post (which I'm assuming you didn't based on your rage), you'd see that I'm talking about login and general client stability. Not the content.

It's kinda hard to do any testing when it takes 30 minutes to log in, and then I get d/c'd after 2 minutes and get all sorts of d/c errors when trying to log in, as well as unresponsive servers and such.

I'm wondering how the client and servers are still this incredibly buggy after seven years.

    "GG kid".
