At that point, we will determine who is eligible for the end-of-season rewards, a process that should take approximately one week. It's very important for players who feel that they may be eligible for Arena titles and/or the Cataclysmic Gladiator’s Twilight Drake to refrain from transferring their characters to another realm or faction until after Season 11 ends. The awarding of Season 11 titles and mounts will occur approximately 1 week after the season ends.

At the end of the season, Conquest Points will be converted to Honor Points, possibly exceeding the 4,000 point Honor cap. There will be no cap on Honor until Mists of Pandaria is released on September 25. At that time, any Honor accrued above the 4,000-point cap will be converted into gold at a rate of 35 silver per point.

All Season 11 items will cost Honor Points (equivalent to their previous Conquest Point cost) when the season ends, with the exception of any items with rating requirements attached. These items will no longer be available for purchase.

The next Arena and Rated Battleground season will begin for level-90 players approximately one week after Mists of Pandaria launches. During the break between seasons, all Rated Battleground and Arena matches will be unavailable. Matchmaking (MMR), Team, and Personal Ratings will all be wiped when Season 12 begins.

I can honestly say, I didn't see this coming so quickly.

Happy day though, I can play with Lightspring sooner! I'm going to name mine Kelesti. It will spit acidic fury healing at everyone that refused to click it in the years past, while it yells at them to stop asking for ToC Lightwell or they will be banned.

So, when the new season comes out, and the current season's gear moves down a peg to be available via Honor Points, what happens to last season's gear, which is currently available via Honor Points? Will that older season still be available via Honor? Will the weapons still be available? Will the cost be reduced?

No all media comes out on Tuesdays been that way forever.. and when I said Movies I meant DVD's not Box office just to clarify a little.

And media coming out on Tuesdays has nothing to do with when people get paid or still have money Sales results are released on Monday, so by releasing on Tuesday new releases will have a full week of sales to count. Also it allows them to order more for the weekend if the early sales are strong.

I myself will almost certainly log in a couple days on the 28th to preview the new MoP changes while GW2's sorting out things server-side. It's basically a guarantee that there'll be insane server issues for the first couple days.

Why wouldn't Blizzard wait about 1-2 weeks so the sparkle of GW2's wearing off for people who don't like the style/archetype changes, yet could possibly grow to like them in the future? They'd come storming back to WoW when 5.0.4 hits.

Instead, as I said, we'll be able to log in on the 28th, give new talents a raid/bg or 3, think 'cool/awful' depending on how they affect us, then straight back into GW2 which will almost certainly solve their server issues within days, at the latest?
GW2 will run for 3 days already on the 28th. ArenaNet did the stress tests with 2+ million players and we had no problems at all on those stress tests, so i think GW2 is ready for the launch

WoW has problems and so does GW2 and the date is more than a coincidence, so what? Just play whatever the fuck you feel like playing, it's not like either game is going away any time soon. Plus, why do you care what other people will be doing or what they'll be playing?

I'll be playing GW2 on the 25th and then checking the changes in WoW on the 28th and I'll still do my weekly 8/8hc clear as well AND STILL playing GW2.. And no, nobody divided by zero.
    THIS.

    Cannot believe all the cry-babies

And how was this not expected? I mean, it's not like Blizzard has *ever* released patches or expansions at or near the dates of releases of competition games. It's well played, but kind of shitty. Businesses will be businesses though.

Not too worried about it; I'll have been playing GW2 for 3 days by then

Aug 28th - pre MoP patch 5.0 release
Sept 25th - Mists of Pandaria release

    SQUEEEEE

Why must these comments be so full of GW2? Someone even said Blizzard is releaseing the expansion 3 months earlier than normal just to compete. Oh my goodness, yes, they should just wait with a finished product so that it doesn't possibly hinder the success of a "competitor". I see you have a lot of faith in the game you are moving to.

There's no way in heaven or hell there were 2 million people online for those stress tests. They were predominantly during working hours on a weekday, for goodness' sake. And there were problems. Login, lag etc. They were fixed, and got better as it went, but no wayyyyy is it even a fraction of the numbers they'll have on release.

Note - I think/hope GW2 will have a smooth launch, but no need to make up numbers about it, my friend.

Pre Launch Patch vs GW2, sorry no contest here, GW2 for sure. I won't be playing wow again until 1 month before tier 15 is released , that way I can just faceroll the content, faceroll the next content and unsub again.

Why must people compare games all the time like this? Are you that insecure about your choices in life that it even affects what games you decided to play? Honestly who cares what someone else will be playing.

OT: I'm excited This will hold me over until Borderlands 2 and then MoP release!
