i think this cinematic did a great job of setting the stage for the expansion, its not about the "big bad" its all about exploration adventure with the underlining war theme at the start.

OH WAIT YOU MEAN LIKE IN THE JADE FOREST STARTING QUESTS?
I swea'h ta' ga'h. Just because they teamed up JUST to fight the pandaren doesn't mean they're going to be buddy-buddy for the rest of the expansion. It's like the WC3 Trailer thing that someone linked in this thread. The pandas wouldn't 'run them over' either, they're just teaching them to not be fuckin' stupid, because the Sha love fuckin' stupid, and get all riled up around it.

Also, spoiler alert: The Alliance and Horde make themselves look like incompetent fools 90% of the time.
Newsflash, not everyone plays the beta, I havent, and if I didnt read up on any news about it, I would seriously have my doubts about the game.

I belive I'm entitlted to my opinion, wether you like it or not.

I loved the crap out of this. I don't know what you haters are bitching about. Also, your logic is infuriating.

See, if I didn't like a thing I would just not pay attention to it. I would loose all interest and go my separate ways with it, but no. You internet trolls absolutely MUST take the time out of your day to visit Blizz fan-forums and post your ire so that all the world will know that little ol' you doesn't like the new expansion. And what kills me is that some of you pretend so hard that you actually matter to blizzard. They're not making the game you want, clearly, so why bother being so negative? Just exit stage left with the rest of your kind and leave the game to those that want to support it.

To address the 'dark meaning' that some of you people seem to think founded the Warcraft lore - you need to seek mental help immediately. No, I'm serious. Give me your address so I can call a paddy-wagon to come pick you up. If you seriously think Warcraft was solely a darkly thematic franchise you are in need of said mental rehabilitation. Go to the wowwiki page and do your research. Better yet, go buy Warcraft: Orcs and Humans or Warcraft II or Warcraft III. Humor has always, ALWAYS been a part of the Warcraft universe even during it's darker moments. You're deliberately choosing to ignore these facts, though, in lieu of your own selfish ideas. If you want a dark fantasy game, go play Dark Souls (no, seriously, it's amazing). HOWEVER, if you'd like to play something with shades of light rather than a game based on binary 'dark' or 'happy' experiences, then stick around and play with us, the fans of the game.

To all those chiding the fact that the orc and human suddenly start working together, you are ignoring the fundamental dynamic between the Horde and the Alliance that has existed since Warcraft (the original RTG) - when faced with a common enemy of unknown power, they set aside their differences and work together. If you pay attention, you notice that the orc and human start off by continuing to fight one another after the Pandaran initially appears; it is only after he demonstrates that neither would stand a chance against him alone when the two (the orc and human), staring awestruck at the new foe, tacitly agree to work together.

This trailer, in my humble opinion, is every bit as good as the ones preceding it (especially the Cata trailer, which in my opinion was a let down). It captures the spirit of the expansion, and explains in story form the nature of the Pandaran and even why they choose to join both the Alliance and the Horde.

Now I really want to fight a raid boss named DimGrark who spews lava and whines throughout the battle (Like XT in Ulduar) about being the only real threat to the heroes in the raid.

On topic, it does one well to keep in mind that Chen did attack both the human and the orc, so them teaming up (enemy of my enemy) makes sense in this respect. On a related note, you can think of it as "He's mine to kill, not yours."

    I also think it is very hard to voice one's opinion against something so beloved. The cinematic is not bad in anyway, in fact it is very impressive. My issue with it is, if you slap another game title on it, it would be the best thing since sliced bread, however because this is a WoW title, it doesn't live up to;

    A. What I expect from a WoW expansion
    B. The feel to a WoW expansion
    C. The direction that I want WoW to go to.

These are just opinions, and what I want from a mmo I spent well over 4 years in. I am just voicing my thoughts, and displeasure, on a thread to voice thoughts and opinions.

Newsflash: You don't know shit 'bout news if you don't read up on it, or seen the videos, or the threads about it. If you wanna judge an expansion based on a trailer; Alright. I guess that means WoW Vanilla: Hitting people with totems, BC: Running around cutting naga or looking at boobies on elves, Wotlk: Scary guy with angry dragon, Cata: Big angry dragon that is on fire.

The theme of the expansion is adventure, and the Pandaren have their monk-ish beliefs with peace, but not rolling over to be kicked around; This theme is prominent once the pandaren in the cinematic comes up. Also, if you're reading nothing about the game, why the fuck would you just say OH WELL, I HAVE MY DOUBTS, when you know NOTHING about it, asides from the Cinematic? Yeah, okay, seems like a validated opinion.

Of course they are entitled to their own opinion....no matter how wrong it is.

Definitely the best cinematic to date from Blizz.

    No one is disputing that.
But being entitled to an opinion also means that you have to live with others reacting to that opinion if stated in a public forum

DimGrark begins casting an aura of pure bitching!
    NOOO FUNN ALLLLOOOOWWEEED.
All raid members gain a debuff of 'no fun'! Everybody logs out and cries in a corner (60 Mins)

Though, Deathwing's Spine is pretty close to that.
    HEYOOOO.

Back in the mid 70's there was this thing called CGI, short for Computer generated Imaging, and I hear it can make even the most atrocious of things look good (see Final Fantasy XIV trailers). When the game starts looking half as good as that I'll be minimally intrigued.

I personally am glad I came to my senses and dropped this franchise before the quality went completely down the garbage chute, by even the most lax of standards. This intro cinematic falls way short of the previous expansions' intros on so many levels. Where was the story of the expansion? Where were the chills running down my spine as I watched the narration build into the antagonists debut? Where was the depth from the other trailers (even the original trailer got me sitting on the edge of my seat 8 years later because of the atmosphere it created)?

Then I went to the Blizzard site and watched this one:
