But this isn't about Burning crusade.

As for the cinematic, people seem to be approaching it at a very superficial level... Chen's question isn't one he's asking himsel; it's one he knows the answer to. He's posing the question to the horde and Alliance as a whole: why are they fighting? Is it for peace and harmony? For home and family? No. He knows they fight for vengeance and hatred.

Further observe, however, that twinge of a smile he gives while Taylor hands Nazgrim the spear... He knows the horde an alliance will work together. He parts the mist, showing them what is "important," and, ultimately, that they will need to band together to protect what is important to all of them.

I didn't think it was that difficult...
Oh good, I thought I was the only one who got that impression XD

Just because the Alliance doesn't have the time to properly kick you Horde dogs to the curb doesn't mean we aren't doing it to everyone else /trollface.
The problem/vexation comes more from the fact the Horde always finds time to kick the Alliance to the curb, as has clearly been seen in Cataclysm. We already know how MoP is going to end and it's not going to be fair justice/vengeance that the Alliance deserve; we help the Horde take out their own bad guy. Nothing says "Feel our pain and our wrath that you brought upon yourselves!" like standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the faction whose claims to fame include the decimation of Theramore/Ashenvale/Stonetalon/Gilneas/Hillsbrad and to an extent Arathi Highlands upon others, never mind all the killing/necromancy (referring to the Forsaken) that's occurred in several of those places, than helping them out at the end. Really motivating stuff.

Well whatever, I thought the cinematic was pretty great. I've said that the best way to combat WoW's stagnation is to do something completely crazy and it looks like Blizzard have that covered. I'm not sure why the attempts at humour are getting so much hate considering WoW has had a heavy comedic feel to it since the very beginning but I've long ago given up trying to figure out what goes through the minds of the WoW playerbase.
I didn't like it for a number of reasons, but the humour can't really be argued against given the presence of a polymorphing mage and murloc-frying warlock in the Vanilla one; that said, Vanilla was not defined by humour, and I don't think it's unreasonable to hope/fear that we have an expansion on our hands that's going to try and slip comedy in at every turn.

Well, if anyone was still in doubt about how childish is the whole theme (in case someone was still in denial) it is made clear with this cinematic. 10 years old will love it. Dont think the game will survive this expansion. What cataclysm started pandamon will end.

The cinematic is awesome but the message could be different something like :

-"To ask why the HATERS hate is to ask why the leaves fall ...its in their nature. Perhaps there is a better question.."
-"Why do they hate? To protect their game and money. To preserve chaos and bring the flamewars."
-"For their kind the true question is : What is worth hating?"

Only childish people are afraid of doing the things childish people considers childish.

MoP could potentially be the best expansion yet, better than Cata certainly, maybe better than WOTLK (my favorite expansion yet.)

Reminded me of a Disney movie, you can take that as good or bad. From a warcraft standpoint it is a bad thing.
If I was just to judge it as a cinematic and never had played the game I would say it was decent a bit cheesy.

This looks great, but ... it tells no story. After watching this, I have no idea what this expansion is about (except that there will be panda's and a new continent).

    It's strange.

    It's a very good trailer!

Blizzard is great at making trailers, they're always pretty epic...if they were longer it could be a top notch CGI movie.
I found it funny when the human gives his pointy stick to the orc, kinda makes me think "new alliances when facing new enemies".

With that said...MoP still looks pretty uninteresting and it's not likely I'll play it...ever...but I always enjoy Blizz trailers

over the top, of course it would make the new race and class to be all so superior to old races, regardless of class. If anything it was a bit too cutesy with the panda

Indeed a trailer like that is made for people above teens heh. Amazing some people are still on denial even after that (or are the new target audience). Its not about being afraid, its just that once you are older you might notice it doesnt have the same "appeal". You will get there someday (I hope).

The trailer is entertaining to watch, like all other Blizz's trailer.

Introduction reminds me of the Reign of chaos. This proves that blizzard is listening to our demands and bringing wow back to its origin.

However, the fight scenes feel cheesy. There was so sense of danger. No lore.

so let's be very clear. After watching that trailer it is clearly kung fu panda. Or are we still in denial about this?

Kung Fu Panda is a great movie. Why would I deny that?

And folks like you I will never understand. It is one of those things, when you are kid you want to be an adult and when you are an adult you want to be a kid again. There is nothing wrong with wanting what you term "as childish." But since that has been lost to you, seems to me that you are scared that someone will catch you having fun. Not my problem if you seem to have a problem letting your inner child out, and well if you can't let it out every so often then well..

They are probably scared that they liked the movie but don't want anyone finding out for fear of being laughed at. A lot who are negative about the trailer in that way must be very insecure about themselves.

The cinematic visual quality was incredibly awesome. However, the plot behind it... not so much. Seemed more like a joke than anything to me. Horde and alliance should be in war with each other, a bit like in the W3 cinematics, not have them spit everywhere and share wood parts when they see a panda jump out of nowhere who's eating some kind of leafs.

Ive seen the trailer about 12 times now and each time I see it I get more pumped for Mists. I still stick to my guns that wrath's was better imo but this one has really grown on me. Gotta love the fully rendered graphics. Pandas look freakin awesome!

The whole point to it is that as you saw they were fighting each other, the Pandaren steps in to try and put a stop to it for major negative emotions like fear and doubt and anger can manifest themselves into an entity of pure doubt, fear, anger and so on within Pandaria. If you have played beta you will know and if not once it goes live you will know too.

WoW i think that was there best trailer blizzard has done yet. They did not disspoint in getting players excited for the expansion and i love the fact its Orcs and Humans with a unknown element this time around No big Super boss to focus on nothing. Good job blizzard!

Problem is: you got older, not the game target audience. WoW was always target for teens. Be getting older it only exposed something that was always there - or you truly believed gnomes with mechanical sheep bombs were target for the "oldies"?
