Separate 10 and 25 Man Raid Lockout and Reward Changes in Korea
Similar to the test of shorter raid lockouts for older content, Korea is testing separate raid lockouts for 10 and 25 man, as well as higher item level rewards in 25 man raids. The translation below was provided by PrairieChicken .

Therefore, from the upcoming patch we decided to change the raid instance lockout rules for all KR servers. Raids, as usual, will be reset every 7 days following maintainance checks. However, after 5.1 patch 10 man and 25 man raids will have seperate lockouts.

From now on, players could play raid instances, such as Mogu-Shan Vaults, in both 10 man and 25 man difficulty. Normal and Heroic difficulty raid of same instance will share same lockout as usual. Furthermore, the loots of 25 man raids has been buffed, and will offer higher iLV compared to same 10 man instance. For example, Terrace of the Endless Spring in 25 man difficulty will drop loots with iLV of 504, wile 10 man will drop 496.

We wish that players will further enjoy the contents and gain satisfactory rewards, and decided to offer the system that suits most well with the KR players.

Why dont they share this for the rest of 90% of WoW Players around the world? If not 95% ?

I have a feeling Korea operates on a different plane of gaming than the rest of the world. Going back to this model in the US/EU would be an awful step backwards.

Goodbye even playing field for World Firsts.
If you think about the maintenance days, was it ever really an even playing field?

Im ok with everything but the iLVL difference. Just because im dealing with 15 less people in managing my guilds raids does not mean we deserve weaker loot. That was a WOTLK mistake. Really hoping this gets altered before US/EU market.

So (if they ever add this to US/EU servers) now we'll have to do both LFR, 10-man and 25-man for the fastest gearing? Screw that...

If this hits EU it would ruin my guild as we built it as a good 10man raiding guild, we will not be able to get 15 extra people to go 25man at this point.

Only 25-man raiders. Way to screw over all 10-man guilds.

They're doing it so that Korean players have to pay twice a week, instead of just once for their play time. So basically they're getting better gear, and getting to raid twice a week, just so that Blizzard can make more money from them.

Apparently everybody else gets the shaft, just because we pay monthly. Even though if I'm not mistaken, I think Blizzard makes most of their money from the US and Eu. Sure everybody pays roughly the same % when it comes to average income, but overall we pay the higher number.

I don't mind paying what I currently pay. I'd just like to think I'd be treated the same as everybody else. If this doesn't hit live on all servers, I'll probably be hittin' the ole dusty trail.

I want this SO BAD for EU as well.

Yea, great to screw over people who can't raid 25mans. Now all guilds will go back to 25, g fucking g blizz.

I liked it in ICC, having normal 25man raids with my guild and a 10man raid with some rl friends. Though I most likely wouldn't have the time for both anymore, I'd be happy if it would come to EU too. But it won't, since most players raid 10man and don't want 25man to give higher ilevels, because they would feel forced to raid 25man.
Probably no shared lockouts and giving the same ilvl would be a good middle ground in my opinion here.

25 > 10, GOOD CHANGE. I hope it comes back here. In fact just delete the 10man if you dont have time for 25man, then go run LFR.

They tested Firelands having a shorter cooldown there and decided it wasn't a good idea. This is likely similar testing.

25 man are true raids, 10 man is just a bigger instance. Make the same change to US and EU please!

I hope this comes to US/EU aswell, deal with it guys 10 man is inferior. I'm especially excited to see the return of separated lockouts, I loved being able to to do the same raid twice. And you can't be serious, you cry about this being unfair? 25 takes a lot more work and what did you get for it a whole expansion long? That's right, NOTHING. It's only just that you get better items for more effort lol.
