Separate 10 and 25 Man Raid Lockout and Reward Changes in Korea
Similar to the test of shorter raid lockouts for older content, Korea is testing separate raid lockouts for 10 and 25 man, as well as higher item level rewards in 25 man raids. The translation below was provided by PrairieChicken .

We thought that Korean players wish to enjoy the most hardcore contents more flexibly and according to their play styles. Therefore, from the upcoming patch we decided to change the raid instance lockout rules for all KR servers. Raids, as usual, will be reset every 7 days following maintainance checks. However, after 5.1 patch 10 man and 25 man raids will have seperate lockouts.

From now on, players could play raid instances, such as Mogu-Shan Vaults, in both 10 man and 25 man difficulty. Normal and Heroic difficulty raid of same instance will share same lockout as usual. Furthermore, the loots of 25 man raids has been buffed, and will offer higher iLV compared to same 10 man instance. For example, Terrace of the Endless Spring in 25 man difficulty will drop loots with iLV of 504, wile 10 man will drop 496.

We wish that players will further enjoy the contents and gain satisfactory rewards, and decided to offer the system that suits most well with the KR players.

As I've said in earlier threads on this:

    Separate lockouts - Fine.

Better loot for 25s - Not okay and doesnt make any sense at all.

Except now there is a lot of content. With Terrace and HoF out, that'd be 6 raids in one week.

Lol at your comment. Raid Finder gives shitter loot than 10 man, doesnt it? LFR was done so that bad raiders see the content and experience it, also to show what bosses can do in the encounters etc.

Yeah sure, raiding 10 men is not even half the effort, so it's absolutely fine that you get rewarded the same loot for not even half the effort. You sir or madam have a nice logic.

Really mixed feelings about this if it comes to the US...

I was part of a top 25 guild for several years, and this is a really hard thing to balance. It really depends on the total number of bosses per tier...

During ICC progression I was getting burned out, having to do a 10 and 25 man to stay competitive. During farm it wasn't so bad, it gave extra content to do with friends in the guild.

Essentially you're saying that you want to put in less time, less effort, and reap the same rewards as people organizing and participating in 25man raids. That's absolutely not fair to the people who would rather do 25man...if you don't have the time or the guild to do the hardest content, you don't deserve the best gear, it really is that simple regardless of what anybody tries to claim. And to further expand - if you are only doing 10man raids, why do you NEED 25man level gear? The answer is you don't, so who cares if your 10man drops weaker gear than a 25man.
One of Blizzard's given reasons for LFR being 25 man instead of 10 man, is because 25 man raids are more forgiving of mistakes, lack of coordination and poor player performance than 10 man raids. This of course also applies to normal and heroic difficulty raids.

The simple truth is that 25 man raids are, for the most part, easier than 10 man raids and as such should offer loot of a lower item level than 10 man raids.

This should not be a korea only thing. there are alot of players in the US that are competative raiders and enjoy doing multiple raids. The US and EU realms should not be left out of this. If people dont want to raid multiple nights during the week then they dont have to, we should not be excluded due to casuals prefference.

Please bring that pay plan to EU also.

I would welcome this change, but honestly I give it a max 10% chance of ever hitting US/EU realms

Have my doubts this will go to EU or US without a shitstorm of QQ from 10man raiders...

I really hope, that we will get this in EU too!

An argument that emphasises that the difficulty in 25 man raiding is not the raid, but getting 25 people to raid.

The only people who put in any additional effort in 25m over 10m are the recruitment officers. As a raider of both, it's the same. You show up, press some buttons, kills some interent dragons and collect purple stuff.

I see this maybe happenning in China as well. Remember in Korea and China the games are free you download and you pay to play. However their pay to play is different. They pay to play by time not a flat fee.

Or, you show up, sit around for awhile for people to log on because you can't recruit enough for 25s, and then wonder why you shouldn't jump ship to 10s like everyone else.

If this is brought to NA/EU, it'll bring back some of the people that 10s have sucked away from 25s in Cata.
