On Thursday, January 17, we will be testing two more raid encounters in the Throne of Thunder.

Each encounter should be available at approximately the listed times below for all Public Test Realms.

Horridon - 10 Player Normal at 10:30 PST (13:30 EST, 19:30 CET)

Iron Qon - 10 Player Normal at 16:00 PST (19:00 EST, 01:00 CET)

As always, this testing schedule is very fluid and subject to the realities of a beta environment. We might have to change the time of a testing session, change the boss being tested, or cancel a test entirely, due to bugs, server hardware issues, etc. This is particularly true for these early tests as we are still nailing down overall patch stability. Keep an eye on this forum for the latest information, and thank you in advance for testing and providing feedback.

Important Testing Notes

Q: How do I get into the raid zone?
A: At the northeastern edge of the swamp on the Thunder King's island, there is a Shado-Pan camp in a small cave. A sewer grate in this cave will take you directly to the zone-in point for the raid zone. (As more of the island unlocks, players will be able to access the main gate directly.)

Q: What gear do I use to test the raid?
A: As we did for Beta raid testing, we will be scaling players' gear inside the raid in order to facilitate testing. Gear will be scaled (up or down, as appropriate) to item Level 502 for the purposes of testing Normal modes.

    Druid buffs, disc priests nerfs should help balance out the edges of healing rankings. However Spirit shell untouched still seems a bit strong but i guess we will wait and see how it plays out

    It's probably too early to tell, although it's probably still going to get nerfed. I assume they're just clarifying it so someone playing the game can just look at the achievement and know what that person did as they're kind of vague for someone that wasn't doing the content at the time.

    10% extra healing buff for Druids sounds way over the top. It also feels very lazy to add flat buff.

    Question is what class will be left out in 5.2? To me it looks like holy palas are in for a torrid times. Blizzard has ignored their feedback so far and seems to be focusing on other specs and classes. Another Sunwell incoming? Looking at the 2 and 4 stat bonuses - it looks pretty clear.

    LOL.... all they just did was make Disc as shitty as holy. Funny part is GC had said this was the intent. Idiots.
    Both specs now will have shit regen. Disc just lost every advantage it had. See you at the bottom of the meters. They alrdy took mastery away from SPirit Shell so that spell won't be as strong by far.

    Wow, did they seriously just completely REMOVE Divine Aegis from Prayer of Healing?

    It was underpowered when it was 30% of a PoH, so they buff it to 50%, and then say that it's overpowered. So they nerf it to 0%? What kind of backwards fucking logic is this. That was Discipline's ONLY decent potential for AoE healing/prevention outside of Spirit Shell, and it's absolutely awful to only have decent AoE on a 1 minute CD.

    Sounds rather like Throne of Thunder might not be available right away - probably just a fixed time, but (speculating) it could also be similar to the original idea for the Isle of Quel'Danas/Sunwell, in that server progress through dailies is required to unlock the raid.

    5.2 is coming out tomorrow? And here I thought that this was PTR, where everything was subject to change on a daily basis.

    This is coming from a 25% "The Sky is Falling" Bladeflurry "nerf", which actually resulted in a BUFF for the skill.

    wow blizz sure did alot with smokebomb, how on earth is smokebomb gonna be any good when, almost any raid cd covers the entire raid(40 yards) has immunities for caster interupts effects and lasts longer than a smoke bomb, smoke bomb only has a 8 yard range and lasts 5 sec, once again blizz puts the least amount of effort into rogues skills.

    8 yards 3 min cd vs 40 yards 3 min cd, just saying.

    Perhaps you do not play a rogue and shouldn't comment on rogue abilities? I don't have a mage, so I wouldn't be a good person to talk about mage nerfs and buffs.

    If you do play a rogue, though, you should know how to (very) effectively use Smoke Bomb in PVP, and PVE as well. This is a fantastic buff to a glyphed Smoke Bomb for PVPers.

    You're obviously not a rogue. Even at 40% and 4 targets, its still a nerf. There's only a couple fight with the right number of targets for the new blade flurry to be effective, whereas there is a lot of bosses where cleaving is useful. Not to mention that the range of blade flurry is pitiful, and won't be hitting everything unless the targets are nearly stacked.
