We're excited to announce that Diablo III is being developed for the Sony PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system. We'll also be adapting the award-winning action–role-playing game for Sony's newly announced platform: the PlayStation® 4!

Sit Down, Relax, and Kill Some Demons
Diablo III for the PS3™/PS4™ will be based on the core PC game and feature all the latest updates, including Paragon levels, the Infernal Machine event, Monster Power, Brawling, and more. This version is also being tailored with customized controls, a new user interface, and a dynamic camera perspective to provide an awesome Diablo III experience for PlayStation gamers.

Players will be able to wage war against the Burning Hells on their own in single-player games as well as team up and destroy countless demons with their fellow Nephalem in multiplayer games. For multiplayer, players will have the option to choose between four-player online (complete with matchmaking) and four-player local co-op modes for their couch-based warfare.

Follow the Falling Star to Boston, MA

The PS3 version of Diablo III will make its public debut at PAX East in the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center from March 22–24, and attendees of the convention will be some of the first to defend the world of Sanctuary via handheld controllers.

We call upon all heroes to join us at the official Blizzard booth, where you can enjoy some fast-paced hack-and-slash, participate in fun contests and giveaways, and learn more about the game. (Community managers will also be on-site, and they look forward to answering your questions and slaying some of Diablo's many malevolent minions with you.)

For more information, be sure to check out the official press release, and stay tuned to Diablo3.com for future updates.

If D4 was released in several months from now, it would sell at a fraction at what D3 did.
That's irrelevant. The game will not die. It still has big crowd of followers. Most D3 haters are WoW annual pass holders that dug their nose into something they knew nothing about.

pay to win in a Single Player game? dont be silly. its not an MMO. If you dont want to buy stuff on the AH then DONT! i tell you that you will enjoy diablo 3 more if you play on ur own pace without using the AH at all with only ur own drops and blacksmith stuff.

It doesn't matter what others think, it sold 12 million on PC alone and is still alive and kicking. If I were a developer I'd absolutely rush to get it to console market too.

Why are people complaining about it not being Titan? It's a SONY conference. They would never announce a game at a conference like that, and even if they did... it would mean Titan is coming to PS4. That would piss more people off than Diablo. I can just imagine the "OMG titan will be for console babbies!" whining.

Yep that's it. I guess it wasn't the atrociously itemized items, the gated acts, only 4 players allowed to play in a game, the top 1% of rolls being worth anything, the purely idiotic rng when it comes to legendaries, the pay to win feature, bmah, no stat allocation, the whole "we have 8 billion builds!" and 1-2 being viable in inferno, nope you're right it. It was those damn annual pass holders who knew nothing about this abomination that they tacked onto the diablo franchise

it has its followers. But its player base has shrunk to less than 10% of what it started with.

If your using your anecdotal evidence, then ill use mine.
I had a total of 14 friends buy D3 with me. They all quit within a week, and 3 of them actually got a refund.

Several of them also went on to check back up on the game months later, nothing improved besides the playability issues that should have never been an issue in the first place. The "large crowd" is not large by any sort of metric.

I dont think annual pass holders had nothing to do with it. In its current state, I would wager more people would rather play QWOP with their feet than to play D3

Like the game, but how about instead of working on a port for freakin playstation you finish all the crap you said would be in the PC ala pvp.

Without sources that is just a blind statement from someone who appears to dislike D3.

Now the big question is; can you play with other people who's playing the PC version, and can you access your PC characters on your PS4 and vice-versa?

12 million copies sold and afew dozen people say it's dead. You guys are oblivious. It's the same type of people on low pop WoW servers thinking they are the best in the world cause they got server first.

You have no idea what really goes on. Stop pretending otherwise.

Just hoping blizzard doesn't screw their PC gaming foundation by trying to poke into the console markets like many have done before.

The issue is that they made games and ported them to the PC. So games like Halo and Call of Duty were made for the console then ported to PC so they always looked like shit. Where as games like BF3 and Skyrim and now D3 were made for the PC and ported to the console. As long as they make it for the PC FIRST then and consoles SECOND, you won't have the issue that Halo and CoD have with shitty computer graphics.

Concurrent users dropped from 300k to less than 20k within 2 months and has only been getting lower and lower.

I love the Group of people talking about how the game has nothing to do and how its all about farming and grinding and complaining that grinding mobs is too much. But LOVED spending days and months doing nothing but Meph or Bahl runs. Over and over and over. Instead of a semi challenging Pack of trash you mainly just spawned a game ran thru to boss killed it and re spawned a new game. Don't get me wrong i loved D2 and spent ALOT of time playing the game. And yes the items that spawn on this one have some of the worst itemization ive seen on some items every in a game. Expecialy Class specific items. But still I dunno off to bed Cant wait to see it on my PS3 since my Comp isn't the greatest in the world.
