If they pulled it and registered is elsewhere, people would find it....just like they find all the other "trademarks". Thanks for playing.

This is a direct link to a blizzard page with the video embedded.

Its still a very cheap video for BLizzard to announchea new name on their title. Either they are forced into doing their Dota low profile by the new shareholders (that own LOL) or they are just trying to fool players. Again - I can not believe that Blizzard is releasing such low quality video to build hype for their next big thing.

How much you think they paid for this compared if their best animators were put on making it? Besides... its not like Carbot is a big time expensive producer... it's youtube quality work.

Again - Why should Blizzard launch the trademark name of new franchise with such low quality sloppy work ? Answer is pretty obvious.

It's not the first time Blizzard reaches out to the community and sponsors and or supports someone's work. Remember the Lore on the forums? He used to be working for Tankspot now he's with Blizzard. Extreme example sure but I think it has merit.

Not if they submitted an application in a country that doesn't have a searchable online trademark database to establish priority using the Madrid Protocol, which is exactly what they did with Hearthstone. Thanks for playing.

    No - its low quality

Tencent own Riot games and Tencent is the company that bought the shares that Bobby Kotick is now controlling as the biggest single shareholder of Activision Blizzard.

Tencent IS new shareholder. It owns Riot games that make LOL.

Do some research before you claim such bull.

you clearly dont know how to read. nowhere in that article does it say what you claim.

And to the people saying this announcment is somehow fake HotS is in the Blizzcon Schedule while BaS is not, and there's a HotS panel involving "Live Matches." Put two and two together.

"In that same interview Kotick said that Activision Blizzard will start focusing on the burgeoning online games market in China. Interestingly enough, Tencent is one of the partners in Kotick's investment group and already has a huge presence in China. Tencent owns a 40 percent stake in Epic Games and owns League of Legends maker Riot Games."

says they are going to work together in china. nowhere does it say kotick gave them any stocks.

It is low quality for a Blizzard product. Compare this to D3 trailer ? WOW orginal trailer or anyone after that ? Or Starcraft?

This is junk compared to that. Thats just a fact. For me that shows either that Tencent are already pulling the strings in Activison Blizzard by trying to make the BLizzard dota go extra low profile... or its simply put there to fool ppl.
  1. Immitis's Avatar
and even IF tencent were to buy shares the majority of the shares are owned by kotick now. which means they cant do shit in regards to how they run the company or what they do because they are not the majority.

"As far as Tencent, you know, I think their investment just confirms the enthusiasm we have in our partnership for Call of Duty in China. They do not have a board seat. They are a passive investor and I think it was largely as a result for the enthusiasm we're doing together," said Kotick on this morning's call.

Kotick also mentioned later that this group he leads and Tencent is a part of (ASAC II LP) doesn't have any rights to nominate board member

kotick owns the majority of the stocks. tencent owns a very small portion has no influence on the game and merely gets a little piece of the money they make. they have no power at all or the ability to do anything

If Tencent has no effect in Activision BLizzard.... Then why is BLizzard releasing such a junk video when re-branding of new franchise name for the company? And again... its junk compared to what players are used to from BLizzard.

People couldn't read the Patent license form and notice it said NOTHING about game packs with included manuals; which all WoW, SC, Diablo games and xpacs are registered under.
Instead it said downloaded from primary web base (or something similar). Those who assumed it would be an WoW xpac didn't seem to notice that little wording difference.
I expected this would be the case for All-Stars. Not bad. I'll enjoy playing it I'm sure.
