Acclaimed worldwide for their influential and groundbreaking pop-punk sound, Blink-182 has achieved massive critical and commercial success, with over 35 million albums sold. Their third album, Enema of the State, went quintuple platinum and catapulted the band into superstardom.

Unfortunately for fans of Blink-182’s “What’s My Age Again?” video, Anaheim city ordinances strictly forbid the band from running naked through the streets around the convention center. BlizzCon attendees are kindly asked to adhere to the same policy.

“After two days of hard work watching games and playing games and talking about games, we can’t think of a better way to kick back and relax than to have your face melted by Blink-182,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “We’re thrilled to have such an awesome band helping us bring BlizzCon to an epic conclusion.”

“Nothing beats touring and playing in front of a live crowd,” said Tom DeLonge, Blink-182 guitarist and vocalist. “Our roots are in Southern California, so playing at BlizzCon will be like having a show in our own backyard—only with a couple thousand more orcs and elves in loincloths and bikini armor.”

BlizzCon is a celebration of the global player communities surrounding Blizzard Entertainment’s Warcraft®, Diablo®, and StarCraft® game universes. The show will have an array of activities, including discussion panels, competitive and casual tournaments, contests, hands-on playtime with current and upcoming Blizzard Entertainment games, and more.

While tickets to the convention are no longer available, viewers at home can join the excitement by ordering a BlizzCon Virtual Ticket, which offers comprehensive live coverage of both days of the event, including Blink-182’s performance, via multi-channel HD Internet stream for $39.99 USD (pricing and availability may vary by region).

DIRECTV customers in the United States can order the BlizzCon 2013 Pay Per View event, priced at $49.99 USD, which includes access to the Virtual Ticket online stream. Visit www.directv.com/blizzcon for more details.

With multiple games in development, Blizzard Entertainment has numerous positions currently available—visit http://jobs.blizzard.com for more information and to learn how to apply. As BlizzCon draws closer, further details about the show will be announced at www.blizzcon.com.

Look at you talking shit to people who like different music than you, and acting like everything that doesn't fit into your musical tastes is bad.

Way to be nice and closed minded, you'll make it far in life.

I don't understand ppl like you at all. Never happy with anything. Would you prefer Justin Bieber? What was your reaction to Ozzy? Older bands are the bomb. Music these days is just noise. Blink were and still are a great band.

Also, skill is stupidly overrated, and impossible to rate as it all revolves about subjectivity, luck and "doing the right thing, and the right time". Ozzy for example, has never had an ounce of skill when it comes to the vocal department, yet he sounds recognizable and was lucky to work with a bunch of people who could write brilliant songs.

Besides, your initial point was that since we aren't in the early 90's anymore, Blink should be irrelevant, according to that logic, since we aren't in the early 80's Ozzy should be irrelevant.
Thank you! I was just about to type this exact reply.

Ozzy didn't have skill at all! What being blind drunk and moaning into a microphone is skill? Hahaha! You want skill just look at a real rock legend like Angus Young.

Them and Greenday were the most influential punk/pop-punk bands(they've never referred to themselves as punk) of the late 90s/early 2000s. You have no idea what your talking about.

Like it or not they DO have skill. It's just not in the form of crazy solos and super intricate scales. They have a sound that everyone tried to mimmick but couldn't. Instead of solos they do harmonic interludes, they have a simple style yet it still gets an emotional feeling across.

Musical tastes are unique, I like Blink, but very few Beatles songs do anything for me.

Most people consider Blink 182 and Greenday to be a joke and an insult to punk music.

You are over-exaggerating on the word "most." Most would indicated 75%+ of listeners. However, if you are only including dedicated punk fans (stuff that came out in the 70s, 80s, and early 90s), then maybe. But if you factor in mainstream audience, your talking about the opinion of a very small percentile.

Then what are they? I sure as hell think they started out as punk. They changed with them times. Maybe not your obscure shitty I-never-heard-of-them punk but the same genre.

Meh, won't be as awesome as Ozzy but I much prefer them over some modern "artist" of today...

Also for the people saying Ozzy had no skill...what have you amounted to in your time? Not sure how you measure skill but I for one love his singing voice and wouldn't hear ANYONE else sing those songs.

while blink 182 is an ok choice, its just that, "ok". there are tons of other bigger well known bands that would fit if they wanted an epic conclusion to blizzcon each year

    Metallica
    Godsmack
    Red Hot Chili Peppers

those are the 3 that come to mind, ozzy made sense, but foo fighters didnt really, and blink 182 even less so, but i guess. Seems morhaime is into this music, and he's the boss so what he says goes, so if anything it would be the idea to convince him or figure out what bands he likes and bring a better band next year

i like blink 182, not that i find them super talented, they rode their success out years ago, their name and status lets them continue to tour, but they certainly aren't as popular as they were when their big hits were all over the radio, in fact i hadn't heard anything from them in years, and even some of you fans that have commented have pointed out, you hadn't heard either. Only the few die hards knew they had a newer album out

i guess it pays to google stuff, but this year's choice is about 50/50 imo, its neither bad but not super good either

I really liked blink 182 when I was in middle school and listening to them now it just sounds bad. Punky music is really only good for a crowd who only enjoys that type of music. Putting Ozzy Osbourne in front of a crowd will thrill everybody no matter what, he has great music behind him and 30+ hits from the last 35 years.

I'm sure tons of people turned it down because playing at Blizzcon isn't that great of a gig really.
I mean blink 182..... no one cares about them anymore. I mean they have funny lyrics.... thats about it lol.

I'm sure blizzard got them super cheap
