WoWTCGLoot was nice enough to send us some things to give away again this year, so a big thanks to them! After yesterday's post on pet collection stats, let's give away some more pets and one month Curse Premium codes.

  • Enter once by replying to this news post and telling us what feature you would like to see in Warlords of Draenor that was not announced at Blizzcon.
  • Winners will receive a PM which they have 72 hours to reply to. After that, a new winner will be selected. Pets will be given out in the order the winners reply to the PM, so be sure to reply promptly. You can turn on email notifications for PMs in the Settings.
  • Entering more than once per contest thread is useless and will get you disqualified. There will be no 2nd chance for people posting more than one comment in this thread, you have been warned. (We will also of course check for double accounts, etc)

Does no Dodge/Parry on gear mean Strength -> Parry and Agility -> Dodge are being removed as well?

Now that we have 3 new secondary stats (Amplify, etc.). How many of these stats will we see on a single piece of gear? Still 2?
Still typically 2 secondary stats on most gear. May be exceptions, as always, but vast majority of the time, 2. (Source)

Will melee abilities still be affected by Weapon damage. Or are those abilities now only scaled by AP?
Yes, weapon damage will still be a thing. (Source)

If this means all dmg spells and heals will scale with primary stat, this is a good thing although simplifies gear
Typically Attack Power or Spell Power, which mostly come from your primary stat. (Source)

would be nice for weapons to means as much to casters a physical.
Somewhat ironically, weapons are actually *more* important for some casters, than some melees. SP bonus is huge. (Source)

sorry if this is a repeat question but if I gem say spirit then trade to dps or tank does that gem change too eg haste for dps ?
No, only primaries on armor slots switch. (Source)
sorry im more asking for the gem side the fact that say pally chest has a gem socket do I have to swap it everytime swap spec ?
Sorry, not sure I understand the question. If you put a Spirit gem in a socket, it provides no value if you respec to Feral. (Source)

To min-max, yes. However, remember that a different item of the same ilvl likely won't have the gem socket; sockets are free. (Source)

Will Cleave on gear mean CC'd mobs have to be moved to Uzbekistan to avoid sheep-busting?
No. Cleave won't hit CC'd or mobs, or mobs you aren't in combat with. (Source)

Does it mean won't be useful or won't be optimal? Is this applying to PVP too?
Spirit will have zero value for non-healers, including in PvP. (Source)

In WoD, does the baseline yellow attack hit cap include attacks against targets that are higher than 3 levels above you?
Yes. (Source)
Does that also mean a lvl 1 character will have 100% hit chance against a level 100 character or mobs? aoe questing inc
No. Just up to +3 levels, then you start missing again. Similar to how Crushing Blows still exist now. (Source)

PvP
I've had a question about PvP. Why is there a gear req? Why isn't it stats-agnostic, to make the game 100% skill-dependent? Thanks!
WoW is a character driven game where you participate in different activities for rewards. PvP is one of those activities. (Source)
I know that very well I would just love an option at some point in time for pure stat-agnostic, skill-based pvp.

While there may be a place for a game with WoW gameplay and no stats/gear, WoW is not that game. WoW is an RPG. (Source)
Why not poll the PvP population and see what they’d think of a permanent Trial-of-the-Champions play style?
Polling the population is not how we design games. Personally, I'd find it pretty unrewarding. I like getting gear. (Source)

Crafted pvp gear feels a bit gated. Not many want to use daily cd on making 476/458 gear. Maybe lower mats over time?
We don't like the starter gear coming from crafting. Exploring the idea of BoE starter gear coming from battleground wins. (Source)
OMFG BoE PvP starter gear?! If it's BoA I will make you a(nother) million cookies (BoE is still awesome though!)

    I would like to see better customizable characters. More hairstyles, facial tattoos etc. Also it would be very cool if we could make characters of different sizes (withing a certain limit). Like one Orc that is 10cm taller than another, or slightly slimmer

    Different sizes on character models might be a bit odd, imo. Huge taurens and very small gnomes (hardly able to hit them with a mouse-click already, for us older folks).

    Looking forward to that new expansion anyhow.

    Reforging will be gone... That means that de efficiency mini game will be (almost) gone as well. As a disc priest I like to tweak my spirit settings. Lesser spirit = lesser mana regen, but also more output. So efficiency and playing your class well is rewarded. I can imagine simular things for other classes, like lesser rage generation for warriors vs. more DPS and lesser mana regen for mages vs. more output. I'm not totally into these classes, so they might be wrong, but it's an example.

    I am fine with removing reforging as it was too complicated. I would like to see some sort of slider implemented, which will do the reforging automatically on the total pool of stats and not on each individual item. Also make it a single slider with a single stat conversion, to keep it simple. Like spirit -> mastery. It must be set on easy as a default, but you can slide the setting to a more difficult setting (lesser mana regen) for a more challenging (and rewarding) playstyle.

    I would love to see action bars having a "memory" or somewhere we can save the action bar layout for each possible spec, just like how we can save the current set and just apply all those saved items at once.

    I would like to have the option to switch between Standard Talent Tables (which is current) and Advanced Talent Tables (like in BC and WOTLK).

    I used to spend hours playing around with my talent tree getting it just right. Like that little bit of extra DPS for AoE if you put 1 point in "Here" rather than "There"

    I like to think of myself as an advanced player and todays dumbed down talent tree disappoints me.

    1. Harder and more interesting quests. Quests like pick 20 things or kill 15 rabbits are boring... More quests where you should think how to do, like conundrums.
    2. More intelligent mobs with higher IQ. i mean would be fun that minions use some spells to interrupt your cast, heal, kite you, use cc.... not just attack and then have 20% hp stupidly run...
    3. Make bosses not timed... i don't like that we know then he use something...for eg. NOW we like "after 15 sec he do that so go back after 30 he do other so we do that..." Make them use skill random...
    4. Live events
    5. Race. I would like to see a place/racetrack where are some disturb thinks and boost... A place where you can get fun...
    6. Character customization. More skins, hair dressing, new models. Ability to make like tauren or troll undead, ability to change some size.
    7. Graphical improvements. pls more particles like dusts from collides, wind effects, night-morning-day-evening times, spell skins(ability to change your spell look like to make shamans lightning red...) better melee spell animations.
    8. For free game. Blizzard can get money income from skins(where i said above, like tauren undead or red orc, or spell skins), special hair dress, mounts, unique potions/elixirs, in game tournaments(to participate u should pay like 3 euros and winner takes money but blizzard also take some %) and so on like LOL does...
    9. More secondary stats. Like spell vamp, melee vampire, cd reduction, cc decrease, cc increase, speed, spell range increase... more options, more combinations more fun, because players not stupid and that makes fun(not like blizzard does now...making it simple).
    10. More effects on trinkets/items. Some my eg.: increase your speed by 50% for 10 sec, for 30 sec you can jump twice higher, teleports u 20 yards front(blink), for 5 sec your melee spells auto attacks gets 25 yard range, for 15 sec your spells gets 10 yard range, for 20 sec your healing spells deals dmg (50% of heal)to enemies instead of healing friends during this time and 20 sec after u cant use heals (this could be nice spell for healers for duels where 2 healers dueling), distract enemy for 5 sec making their keybinds swapped(i mean instead of running to left then u turn with mouse he turns right and same with keyboard then pres W he goes back and vice versus) and so on...i can create 1000 unique effects... i don't understand how blizzard cant...(now just increase of int/agi/str differance is just you use it or its chance to increase...)
    11. Better/ more interesting spell rotations. SOME more spells should be with the choice of location(like warlocks shadowfury or hunter traps )/ spells where you choose direction(if you know league of legends so spells like zyra root can be place to druids root, brands spells for mage for eg) that would make more fun then you can dodge some spells and that would make game depend on players skill more
    12. Personally I would like to see more balance on 1v1 (duels) or just to make 1v1 more fun i mean better skill combinations/ rotations in tops 9, 10, 11 would make it better(various of stat/ trinket combinations, better spell rotations)

    World events like bosses attacking cities or caravans spawning in random zones with elite guards and some vanity/rare loot.

    I would feel very interesting that Engineers could crate a device that allow faster pre-crafting. For instance a tailor fabric could crate bolts by 5, a mechanical forge metal bars by 5, a milling tool would mill flowers by 20, etc.
