A. The connections listed are the phases we’ve currently finalized and have planned connection dates or estimates available for. Additional connections are possible, but they just haven’t reached that stage yet. We’ll be updating the realm connection list as phases complete and new phases are planned.

A. We'll update this thread with the latest information on currently planned phases.

A. Realm connections are based on a number of factors including population, faction balance, the realm’s physical location in the world compared to other realms it may be connected to, among others. It’s also worth noting that websites which attempt to track population, while helpful in many ways, are estimates based on public data which may not provide the clearest picture of actual population.

Spirit's value varies significantly between classes. One contributor is what the other secondaries do for regen. (Source)

No spirit on armor may involve increasing the amount of spirit on non-armor. That makes it more complex to change existing armor. We recognize the problem and are planning potential solutions, but aren't ready to give specifics yet. (Source)

If healers have enough regen with 1-2 spirit pieces in first raid tier, what happens to mana regen later on?
"Enough" is a very ethereal concept. It also varies with other gear. And definitely not from 1-2 items in the first tier. (Source)
Then between 3 and 6 (of 7) slots. If item stats triple again, will only need max 2 spirit pieces in final tier. Also, sockets.

    We are a hybrid with guess what....zero raid CD's and off healing that's minuscule at best. Yet Hunters are brought over us due to ranged favored fights even if the hunter brings nothing but dps, be it less than the monk.

    Right now the fail rate for random SoO N groups would be too high. We open previous tiers when most outgear & know strats.
    The fail rate for most FLEX SoO is f-ing high right now and that's cross realm, what's the difference with making normal that way then. I'm still going with they want people to blow cash to transfer. >.>

    It would be a whole lot easier to recruit cross realm if you could cross realm normal SoO. Flex is a joke at our level. Make it require a guild group (the standard for guild challenges). Presto... significant fail protection.

    I've been running flex with my friends guild cross realm. She wants to start doing normals with her guild so I just now had to pay $25 to go over there in order to raid with her. Them saying we'd fail too much as a reason is quite frankly insulting and moronic.

    I don't really think I understand zarhyms counter argument...

    Obviously they wouldn't implement cross realm SoO as an LFR queue style, more like open-pug flex style. By that late in the tier, so much people would be decked out in normal / heroic gear that finding geared cross-realm pugs wouldn't be so much of an issue...

    If I can go on Open Raid and post "LFM Flex SoO wing X, pst ilvl and achievement", then I can just do the same for normal...

    If it's a technical limitation then I can understand that.. but it works for t14 and t15 after the tiers ended, so why can't it work for current tier?

    spriest just don't seem so great. i have it as an off spec. gear is set up exactly the way it's suppose to be. he has a higher ilvl than my feral and ww, yet sim dps is 30k+ lower. dps on target dummy is that much lower too.

    "The fail rate would be too high" is an absolutely ridiculous excuse. First off why is it okay that the fail rate in Warlords might be too high but not now? Why should that hold back the idea of me getting my friends who I know are competent raiders from other servers together because little Timmy might try and do an Openraid pug and wipe on immersius for 3 hours?

    Does this guy even remember that LFR exists? You want to talk about something with ridiculously high fail rates at times? Try LFR Garrosh.

    Absolute bullshit. Also love the subtle implication that they basically think a majority of their paying customers are terrible and thus would do nothing but wipe if they made it cross realm.

    Not surprising coming from a company that says when asked about why they don't just completely separate pvp and pve so nerfs and buffs won't affect the other that we're too stupid to be able to comprehend a spell doing two things depending on where we are.

    Zarhym makes a good point. Crossrealm basically just enables people to put together pugs, and the developers have to take some measures to protect pugs from their own stupid selves. These are essentially still all the terrible people you see in LFR, just put together using a different tool.

    How many pugs threw themselves like lambs to the slaughter at Oondasta? Pugs on my server virtually never killed him. It just resulted in a bad time for a whole lot of casual players. Blizzard had to nerf Oondasta into the dirt because they couldn't convince people that he was intended for experienced raiders. "Release and run back!" doesn't work in SoO.

    You're right. They should also remove heroic mode since it causes a lot of wipes.

    I'd love to see cross-realm normal modes, since our flex cross-realm run is really getting out of reasons to run it, and since we don't have 10 on same server we have no other option.

    I dont understand the problem. Normal and Heroic raids become cross realmable when the tier is over, Dragon Soul was after the mid tier patch. So it probably just takes a flip of the switch.

    And the "you will fail too much" is BS. If you could cross realm raids at any time people would also make cross realm guilds or use grouping sites like Openraid and it would be basically the same as playing with people on your same realm. IMO its harder to do the raids with a random group on your own realm because the talent pool is lower. Either that or you cant even try to do it because there arent enough people. I still think its a method to get people to pay them to realm transfer. Theres no other reason you shouldnt be able to do a raid with anyone in your region no matter what server they are on.

    Since nobody's mentioned this: Blizz giving blanket buffs to 3 classes is kinda like a stealthy way of nerfing the content a little bit without saying they're nerfing the content.

    Not sure about the other class buffs, but if I did the math right, the 25% to 35% AP buff for hunters translates to about a ~3% damage (*not* DPS) increase on Chimera/Arcane and about ~8% on Explosive/KC in 522 PvP gear.

    Why does everyone think every feature/art asset/piece of code just manifests itself out of thin air when game companies are creating games? That coding and modeling happens with the snap of a finger. They think the devs are just sitting around twiddling their thumbs and have time to do every idea we give them. They're all very busy working on things that they scheduled to work on RIGHT now. They can't put that all on hold to implement something that wasn't on the schedule. If you people want to make suggestions and requests, it has to be VERY early and you have to make it clear that it will be worth their time/money to implement (over other things.) If they DID go ahead and do that cross realm whatever it was, they're going to cut whatever else they were trying to work on from the game. Is that really worth it for the entire community? Thats the question they have to ask themselves when choosing what to make and what to cut.

    I'd rather the Flex scaling be introduced now, would make recruiting for Mythic a lot easier and make the transition into WoD much smoother and better for the guild I am in.
