Paladin (Forums, Talent Calculator)
Retribution
  • Sword of Light Increases the damage you deal with two-handed melee weapons by 30%. Your spell power is now equal to 50% of your attack power, and you no longer benefit from other sources of spell power. Grants 6% of your maximum mana every 2 sec. Increases the healing done by Word of Glory by 30% 60% and Flash of Light by 100%. Paladin - Retribution Spec.

Talents
  • Burst of Speed - On live, you can't use BoS to clear snares if Sprint is active. We're fixing that but ensuring the speed boosts don't stack. The ability to clear snares while Sprint was active was broken about one month ago in a hotfix. (Source)

Soz blizz, 33% off $0 is still $0, still not buying cosmetic crap in a sub game

as someone with over 15 years of experience in the software development field (programmer, designer, architect, team leader and project leader) i can tell you it's total bullc**p. you can most definitely shift resources from all teams of the same area (programmers can and often can do work in other people's code, graphic designers/artists most definitely complete each other's work (especially when given a common theme to work on) and animators use the same programs to do everything).

the answer you paraphrased above simply say "we will not invest in additional qualified manpower" (read: people with experience and references) and the only people we're allowed/willing to hire are fresh out of collage without any prior experience (in which case it takes anywhere between 2 weeks and 6 months for the new member to provide output greater then the amount of time/resources of established team members you need to invest in him)

Here is an example of it during flight:
Yes, I saw them quite well in the model viewer and I realize you're jumping eagerly to defend this mount's honor because you're in love with it. The wings still quite tiny compared to the size of the body, placed in a weird position (buttwings) and as such it's unlikely such a beast could achieve lift off unburdened, let alone with a rider.

But like I said- it's not like improbable fliers are unknown in WoW. We have gem cats that run in the sky and bats with their wing membranes cut in such a way that they'd never be able to take off.

Just a big middle finger to the player base, although fanboys seem to enjoy those big, fat middles.

When they continue to sell flying mounts, or provide them as RaF rewards, knowing full well they won't be flying come WoD... Well, like I said, I find it hilarious. That with the weak assed sales pitch for WoD was enough for me to unsub.

Doctored up character models that get covered with armor, a laughable spin on player housing, and forced grounding to grind daily quests just isn't all that appealing.

"No flying" in WoD won't last long. Why people are making BIG DRAMA from such a thing? Do you play WoW for flying? You make problem from nothing.

people who make accounts just to bitch here dont get any respect.

    1. Flying mounts can be used for the majority of leveling content, RAF is sorta based on leveling with your friends, flying will come to WoD after the 1st patch, these mounts here are as fine as ground mounths as they are flying mounts.

The models aren't "doctored up", its just you phrasing it as negatively as you can to spread your poison. Even with armor ontop, they're improved fluid animations can be noticed. Animations make up the vast majority of what we "see" on our characters.

More poisonous phrasing. We're getting an entire fort which will function as it is meant to in WoD.

"grind daily quests" displays a level of ignorance that just makes me give up on responding to you anymore.

^This. "Grinding daily quests" won't be in WoD first of all, and Garrisons are infact forts that are very useful when it comes to leveling, crafting, etc.

That certainly did occur to me, but given Blizzard's track record overcompensation is entirely with in their wheel house. But hey, good on you for being a giant dick about it. *thumbs up*

Agreed. Would never pay for a mount let alone a cosmetic piece.

People come here looking for respect?

You're one of those that would eat a wet turd if Blizzard spread it on stale bread for ya.

your grasp of discussion and debate is typical.

Basic respect lies in how we deal with each other here to properly discuss things. It is a vital part of any social interaction, even on the net. Without it being given, it is not received. And when that happens, your comments hold no weight and are generally disregarded in terms of what is being discussed and debated. Without it, discussion is poor and go no where, no progress is made in it in any direction.

Like falling back on personal attacks and the old "blizzard fanboy" cliche when you have nothing to offer against my statement. I myself can think of 3 reasonable things to argue against my own statement.

Some of y'all need to chill the fuck out. If you don't like something in the blizz store don't buy it. I didn't like the enchanted fey dragon so I didnt buy it, but i sure as hell bought the armored bloodwing and iron skyreaver because they look badass. I bought the crown of endless winter awhile back because it looks cool. The other 2 I didn't because they just meh. Lol @ people who want to quit the game because of blizz store mounts/cosmetics and no flying in first patch of WoD. Even though most these people would buy stat gear if it was up on blizz store, but I wouldn't that is when it would go too far. But shit TAKE A CHILL PILL PPL! lol

Lol wut? have you been keeping up to date on sites like Mmo-champion? WoD has been in alpha for awhile and very soon is going into beta, and they said release should be around september this year.

I find respect on an anonymous internet forum about as useful as tits on a turtle, but I find cliches to be very useful when they fit. Based on your responses about flying they certainly fit. Unless there is a substantial loss of subs that they can link to flying being removed they won't put it back because they can develop content faster. They've skillfully guided the player base, especially the turd eaters, with an old promise of 6.1. What this does is allows them to sell a normal amount of expansions to the uninformed masses that haven't picked up on all the little hints that they'd prefer no flying at all. I'll be really surprised if, even after beta concludes, they come out with a solid answer on the flight thing.

The models have been "doctored up" and it's easy to see if you side by side them. None of the changes, other than animations as you mentioned, are even visible in armor with helm on. For many that's not even a WoD selling point, just another pointless feature they spent man hours on.

Given their intent to keep people on the ground and force interaction, how do you think they will get people out into the world at max level when they can't fly? They will tie dailies (and avoid the daily title by having them randomized or varied) to some must have rep or gear reward. Otherwise people will hit 100 and continue to sit in queue town, wishing they could fly.

    Cliche away.
