1. To make the PVP island more populated. This is a wintergrasp type thing where big numbers are needed to make it fun
2. To decrease lag in starter zones - same reason Dalaran was moved in Wotlk ( or more correctly, why the zone was broken apart)
3. To balance factions - This is a bit stupid, but there were a lot of complaints in alpha and on the forums that Alliance was getting a huge lore city and horde was getting a cave that was never heard of before.

I agree with you. i'm so excited we're getting more cash shop pets!!! WoD can wait!!! I want pets and mounts!!

Me thinks by seeing the comments on most blizz announcement things, people are not pleased with Blizz, for the majority. At least online.
I think the corgi is meh, but would obtain it if in game, but if it is as I assume and is obtained through the shop, hell no Blizz.

So freaking SICK of the greediness from blizz. Monthly charge, xpac charge, money to boost a character, server transfer charges, faction change charges, name change charges, change of appearance charges... etc etc the list goes on and on.

I had no idea there weren't other things to do to pass the time other than kill gary for the eleventyseventh time. There totally aren't any other games to play, movies to watch, friends to hand out with, etc................

Unfortunately I've been through that thought process a little too many times as of late.
"Oooh a new mount.. I wonder where they'll sell..", way more often than not they end up being Store assets.

Hopefully, will not be purchasable from the Store and it's going to be a reward in-game of some sort. If it turns out to indeed be purchasable from the Store, oh well, it's quite a nice pretty pet, but will not buy.

I remember a time when you paid for a subscription to a game so that they didn't cut things out. Still not sure how so many people are ok with this kind of crap.
And yes I know it isn't an announced store item, but them making announcements about things like this have historically been to hype up store items.

Please people stop buying this crap and demand that the subscription you pay for encompass EVERYTHING that is made to be in the game. They are manipulating you and taking advantage of your loyalty.

Unfortunately they've contradicted themselves on this issue. The last thing a dev said on this issue was that the places are terrible to begin with, they will not be finished in time, they will be empty and therefore not make good homes and that we should be glad Blizzard is sparing us this ordeal.

@nairmak_gren this is not a simple change like a class spell tweak. it would cost hundreds if not thousands of man hours at this stage.

@nite_moogle forgive me if I'm wrong but all you'd have to do is put portals, vendors, etc inside karabor/bladespire and flag it as a sanctuary, no?

@nairmak_gren portals, vendors, auctioneers, decor, guards, directions, phasing and more I'm sure I am forgetting -- it's a LOT of work.

It looks okay, but it's not "molten", it just has a red/orange overlay, which is what is making it look pretty bad once you get over the "cuteness" which is really, the only thing it has going for it.

I wouldn't spend money on it at any rate.

Yay, finally more content! Or not. I'd leave Blizzard too at this rate, lol.

a) Rags first attempt at a Core Hound was a complete failure.
b) There is a Fire Princess out there that wanted one really bad and pestered her daddy Rags to make it for her
c) Someone drowned a Corgi in Lava, and it mutated.... god help us!

Good lord, some of the people on here.... who cares if you have to pay for it or not. It's just a pet. It's not like they aren't working on a whole expansion you'll get to enjoy shortly.
