I really don't know how to feel about this 'inner bloodrage' retcon they did. It's obviously been done to make durotan more interesting to players who have never read the books.

It doesn't seem entirely unreasonable that on a savage world such as Draenor the orcs would develop a sort of advanced adrenaline rush as a self preservation mechanic. The idea that the demonblood made it permanent still makes it fit pre-existing lore. I think it still works with the idea of the noble savage the orcs are supposed to encompass.

Obviously this "retcon" happened in TBC, at the same time brown orcs were discovered...

At the time we got background lore on orc corruption we also got the first example of an uncorrupted orc's eyes glowing red with rage.

Yeah I'm not sure this is a retcon at all.

    Orcs Orcs Orcs.

A good effort to explain the lore but seriously, can other races get some love too? Would be wonderful to see a series like this on the dwarf king, Vol'jin, Rexxar, Sylvanas, Tyrande, Malfurion and all the other heroes that were sort of on the bench while green jesus & brown co. were in the spotlight.

So no one really remembers the quest line involving Dranosh Saurfang in Nagrand? (Saurfang the Younger)
I'm quoting what he says when you accept the quest (copied the text from WOWPEDIA)

    "They died. All of them...
As the Murkbloods cut through us, something took hold of me that I cannot understand. Tell me, have you ever felt a rage so great that whole of your being burns? A heat that wilts the living? A heat that incinerates the blood in you veins? That is what I felt.
<Saurfang's eyes glow red for a brief moment.>
I was the last one left alive. 30 of them surrounded me... Murkbloods... I remember nothing beyond that vision. I blacked out and awoke some time later."

SAURFANG'S EYES GLOW RED FOR A BRIEF MOMENT

Plus, when you fought High Overlord Saurfang in Orgrimmar back in the days, when someone hit a critical hit, he used Saurfang's Rage, and it showed an emote that read "High Overlord Saurfang's eyes glow red".

By the way, the game make it clear that Dranosh remained untainted by the corruption.
I actually remember this now! Yes, that is definitely I corrupted blood fury.

Do you know what happens when a movie or a comic or a tv show is not to my taste? I turn off the tv, I return the movie and get a refund, or I sell the comic on ebay.
If you don't like the lore, either stop playing wow, or go somewhere else and stop complaining on a forum the wow devs will never see you on.

I believe Durotan was still considered a teenager and that's why he doesn't sound manly yet.

I want savage orcs, seriously. Nothing exciting happened in this episode, just Durotans fighting wolfs and becoming a "monster" for a second.
It's not comparable to Grommash or Kargath savageries!

Really, I wanted something with more BLOOD and THUNDER. But yeah, I think that we just needed to see that not every orc is a warmonger.

    First conan:

    Then 300(Spartans):

    What's next?

Uhh what makes you think they are going to wait that long to release this? They said they wanted it out for 6-8 weeks instead of 4 prior, and also said the ptr wouldn't need to be more then 2 weeks...

this is my favorite of the three eps. I haven't disliked the other two, but this one was different and less ORC ORC KILL ORC ORC which is good. Really got me to like Durotan yay

So now we know that orcs are too stupid to carry their own.
