World of Warcraft 10th Anniversary Ending
The 10th anniversary celebration is coming to an end soon. You have until Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 10 a.m. PST / Monday, January 5, 2015 at 7 p.m. CET to get anything you may have missed.

If you logged in at all during the event, the Molten Corgi would have arrived in your mail. A successful run of the 40 player Raid Finder version of Molten Core rewarded a nice Core Hound mount. The Hatespark the Tiny pet had a 10% drop rate and the Flames of Ragnaros weapon enchant transmog had a 2% drop rate. Anyone that killed Ragnaros also got a spec appropriate item level 640 helm.










Armory Stats - World of Warcraft 10th Anniversary
We couldn't resist one more graph before the holidays are over and people (hopefully) return to work! There are 3.7 million characters and 2.4 million accounts that make up this sample. The percentage of players that have both the Alliance and Horde win in Southshore achievement is almost too small to see on the graph (0.01%).

Droprates when loot is on Personal are different than when loot is on Group. (Muffinus)

This expansion made inventory management worse. Toy box was one step forward and all the new stuff 5 steps back.
What new stuff are you having trouble fitting?

Fixed in 6.1 I believe! A few things missed the bus. (Muffinus)

    We're aware that the WoW Anniversary event is currently set to end earlier than the announced January 6 date, and we're working to correct it as soon as possible.

    I hope the Flames of Ragnaros are added to lvl 60 Molten Core, an item with that low of a drop rate tied to such a short event with such a long queue/clear time was just cruel.

    The Molten Core lfr was hell to get through, mainly due to it being too hard for lfr people to do, since they usually made zero effort to know anything about the instance. Many runs would make the group wipe for 20+ minutes on the corehound packs that have to die at the same time. 10% and 3% drop rate items in such an environment = hell. As a pet collector I gave up on getting Hatespark after 10 tries through this.

    Ignore the hate statistics person. I love them. What you need is more fancy infographics. HOW ABOUT A PIE CHART NOW AND AGAIN DUDE.

    I hated the anniversary!

    The battleground was poorly designed and seemed bugged most of the time(uneven A/H players)
    Not having a guaranteed way of getting the pet and enchant from MC was also a major punch in the face.

    Hoping they add the pet/enchant to the MC loot table too. Wouldn't jive with the comment that they intended for it to be ran once otherwise. Doesn't look like the uptake on the TM vs SS event was very high

    Also I think the stats/addon previews make for fine filler news posts during the slowest time of the year. Blizzards back in the office on Monday! Hopefully PTR within the next couple of weeks.

    I went into MC once during the event, total clusterfuck, everyone was dying on the initial trash and then running back in into the fight with no regrouping, one poor guy was trying to lead but no one was listening.

    I won't be sorry it's over. My fiancee tried MC, and it put her even more off raiding. So I raided until I got Hatespark and gave it to her. Raiding for my own was hell. Getting Hillsbrad was so much easier.
