Changes to Conquest Catch-Up Cap

The good news is that the issue is only temporary, and any characters who did not get the increase this week will automatically get it with next week's reset. If you would like the increase applied sooner than that, please contact our Customer Service department, who will be able to manually correct it.

re "best intentions" - immediately thought of Ashran...
The best thing a community can do is tell the designer what the issue is directly, so they can learn, and the game can improve. (Muffinus)
agreed. Re Ashran though you guys know everything already. Nothing new. It's been all said. It's great that you seek further input
Important note: we're not a designer hive-mind. You may see "mistakes" repeated. It's important to compare/contrast. (Muffinus)
Ashran - faction dominated, lacking clear and rather quick rewards. Spend an hour, get a few honor points, or just die constantly.
world - not random enough. Nothing exciting and/or unpredictable to go out (or group) for. TLDR: rewards don't keep up with time.
What do you want to gain after an hour? A month? (Muffinus)

Garrisons
Battle pets! Why can't my followers also be avid pet battlers, and find me new, exotic cuties! Garona loves rabbits, fyi.
Some players are hitting the cap, do you want more than one THOUSAND pets? (Muffinus)

Yo, what do you want to see as rewards to longer, harder missions in a future WoW patch? Gold, apexis, honor? (Muffinus)
why not both.. er, all three?
How would this work for you? All 3 every week? A choice? Which would you choose? For how long? (Muffinus)
much longer missions with higher risk/rewards..
What's the risk? % success? Follower death? What feels apropos currently? (Muffinus)
What happened to the follower "recovery time" element?
It was really not fun, ultimately. Not to say it may *never* return, but wasn't for WoD launch. (Muffinus)
But what about 3 day or 5 day missions with awesome rewards? makes for interesting choices..
Dudes and dudettes, what is literally Amazeballs to you atm? (Muffinus)

What's Blizz's alternative? Allow 3rd party websites to offer gold for money breaking the EULA? Of course not, this is a smart move by Blizz that positively offers gold for money whilst trading a commodity (game time) in the process. It's a fine move, and a choice many players welcome; the rest can leave it.
The smart move is ofc to create a system that does not rely on gold to gain things to any serious degree. Instead you earn it by playing the game. Offer items, mounts and gear to the content. Create incentives for players to play the game and do different things. Blizzard is doing exactly the opposite in WOD and we all know why.

it's a really big win for the WoW community, Cutting gold-sellers income would make the game better over the long run, fewer botters, fewer account hacking etc..
The big win for the WOW community is not to have 14+ months of nothingness during an expansion. Does this system create any incentive for Blizzard to change that? Nope - on the contrary. Now they can just add few things that cost gold instead and ppl will buy tokens to be able to afford it. And Blizzard will make more money for doing less. So why on earth should they bother to actually make new content ?

Get a clue what you are supporting....

Completely scrapping the whole garbage followers and mission nonsense would be "Amazeballs" to me. Sorry but nothing is going to make a Facebook style UI where I don't actually DO anything into an interesting or compelling game.

You know it's very easy to not do them, so it seems like you're more offended that other people are able to do them than anything.

Most people "skip playing" at least some aspect of the game and still pay monthly subscription. Garrisons are not the only, and certainly far from the biggest feature in the game.

That's what us that still want flying say. Its very easy to just not do it. No reason to remove it for those that want to show up their land mounts.

Excuse doesn't work for us, so it doesn't work for you.

I don't think the lack of flying has anything to do with people wanting to show off their land mounts. We don't have flying yet because Blizzard does not want us to have it yet (because it trivializes so much content the way Draenor is designed and they don't want us poking around Tanaar Jungle), not because other players don't want it.

They keep their income (a little more even), some players can get in game gold they always wanted, and others can pretty much play f2p.
    It's a win-win-win if that's is even a thing.
I look at it from this perspective. Why should I give another player my gold? Seriously, someone is buying a token and I am handing my gold over to them to make them even more rich in gold, which they probably don't even need at this point, since they have so much already. Also let's take it from the other side of the coin, the scumbag that simply refuses to go out and grind their own gold wants to sponge gold off of others, so they don't have to continue to grind out their own gold. Seem to me, Blizzard just reinforcing the whole care bear scenario they been conveying for more than two expansion already. I managed to have what I have in the game because I get off my own butt and do for myself, which affords me the opportunity to truly help others out because I have so much because I chose to not sit in Org or SW and complain that I have nothing to do, nor have I ever found a reason to ever beg for gold as many do each and every single day, because they are lazy. This token just keep them being lazy and sponge gold off people they don't deserve.

So much upset over fake money in a game. Who cares how much gold someone else has? Who cares how they obtained that gold in the game (as long as it isn't a result of buying gold from shady people who hack accounts)? I think it's great there is a legit way to basically buy gold. It doesn't make anyone lazy, and as someone who has extremely limited play time, if gives me an option to get gold if I choose to utilize it. Doesn't mean I'm lazy, it just means I would rather spend my time enjoying content than having to farm gold.
