Blizzcon - Engineering Panel
While we don't have the Blizzcon schedule just yet, we now know there will be an engineering panel this year! We rarely hear official things about engineering outside of the very rare Engineer's Workshop blog post, so this should be a nice opportunity for players interested in the technical aspects of the game to get some more information!

Patch 6.2.2 Hotfixes - The Frozen Halls
It seems that most of the loot from Pit of Saron and some of The Frozen Halls zone drops had their sell price reduced by 90%, along with the removal of sockets (but not the socket bonus) from some items like Polished Mirror Helm.

Ghostcrawler Tweets
Ghostcrawler still occasionally talks about WoW. Remember that he no longer works for or speaks for Blizzard.

It's tough. The two at the end of the day aren't all that different. But it's not as is if all players speak with one voice. (OccupyGStreet)
And at times players think they're perfectly happy with what they have but get excited about something they didn't expect. (OccupyGStreet)

Blaming your customers for your bad product is a terrible, terrible way to do business.
I think the point is more that communicating with players (esp. angry ones) isn't really the product. (OccupyGStreet)
Engaging with players can be important and valuable but at the end of the day that isn't the game. (OccupyGStreet)
And yet the developer narrative holds the players at fault for the performance of the actual product.
Product failures are always the fault of the product team. I don't hear any blaming the customer here. (OccupyGStreet)

Good news: soon you will be able to farm the Mists of Pandaria raids.

Those Raids have a weekly Lockout. Farming nhc/trash + resetting 10 times an hour is something completely different, especially if you have a spec that can just instagib the entire instance after collecting enough mobs.

    new bot spot-nerf, repeat
yeah blizz can`t do anything about hackers, they hack payment do fake account and farm with 90 lvl boosted chars(when they find new spot be new 100 000 bots in 1 week)
no one in world can do anything vs hackers)

I'm still leery. Remember when Blizzard "normalized" gold? Because they were concerned about economy stability?

And then they give us gold from garrisons in WoD so people can actually afford to buy the new WoW Token...

Blizzard gets a LOT done. You just don't see it until its finished and comes out in one big chunk.
If the system hasn't changed fundamentally since cata, it's more like altering a few digits in some Database entries, that's a 5-10 minute job. Don't worry about it, people like to go over-board over about these things.

WOD says other wise mate, they cut that X-pack down to nothing but questing zones and copy past boring dailys.

They would have done that a long time ago if they were going to. The problem here is automated bots running trash runs / resetting instances for unlimited farming. Meanwhile a legacy raid has a lockout limiting the amount of gold that can be picked up in these instances.

They clearly have nothing to do at Blizz HQ, as a result they nerf 6 years old content.

The thing is that they're far harder to bot through than some Wrath dungeon.

Mists raid bosses only give 25g, no matter the difficulty. Cata HC raid bosses are... different.

I guess most of you didn't check the entrance to pit of saron lately... just by standind there for a few minutes you could see a constant flow of characters with strange names coming in and out from the instance.

An engineering panel actually sounds pretty cool, hope people bring some interesting questions. I love behind-the-scenes stuff.

Also that DLC was savage. Haha.

Just because of a couple hundred bots, 5 million other players get punished.

Why can't they just ban bots?

Such a lazy fix to nerf content.

Punished, who runs those instances for money, really? Doing the cata raids once a week on 25H nets you several thousand gold.

Oh look, Blizzard reducing old gear costs again, it'll be old raid gear next... sucking all of the fun out of doing old content, yet again.

At a guess, because its the new botting hotspot, players being punished for botters again, nice logic really Blizzard.

considering all the gold nerfs to drops and whatever else , when are we going to see "all gold drops removed from every content that isn't mythic

Again, people really need to get over Ghostcrawler and their anger at WoW.
  1. Korru's Avatar
Blizzard nerfing gold isn't that bad, when there is less gold in the economy, prices go down as well due to deflation, however they should be careful not overdoing it because it might affect wow token sales with people having a hard time affording wow tokens with pre-nerf prices.

How much do MoP bosses give in 25 man HC? I think there is a possibility that we may not be able to solo them next expansion until there is a squish.

No clue why gc or any of the Devs even enter or entertain conversation with retards who weren't even Alive when mmos existed.
