We have our first interview in a long time coming up at Blizzcon and as always, we want to let the community ask questions! This time our interview will be covering the design of Legion.

If you have any questions you think we should ask, be sure to add them to the comments of the linked post for consideration. We will pick the best questions and add them to our list!

  • Don't post any questions in the comments of this news post. Use the linked topic instead.
  • These should be questions about Legion, not Warlords of Draenor.
  • No class specific questions please. This includes things like balance between the different healing/tank/DPS classes and specs.
  • Keep questions reasonably short.




Warcraft Trailer Screenshots
Some screenshots from the Warcraft trailer were posted on Reddit this weekend. Obviously this was not intended for release and may not represent the final movie.



Day of the Dead
Day of the Dead was updated last year. There are several wrestling inspired costumes you can purchase for 100 from Chapman. Once in the costume, you can do battle with other costumed players. You can use the costumes even after the holiday is over!

There seems to be a bug with the achievements this year, as you can't kill other players with the costume on, only bring them to 1 health. You need to be dueling for them to die.

    They've mainly been showing the Frostwolf orcs (protagonists) who aren't green (yet). But the other clans are corrupted as per leaked footage.

    Maybe it's just these screenshots, but there's a lot of that fake "CG sheen" going on, especially in that forest battle. It looks like a souped-up version of an old Warcraft cutscene.

    The gym membership analogy? Just Blizzard defending the necessity of 'casual' catered game play elements in WoW again. MMO-Champion occasionally has graphs on this but the usual trend is around 10-15% of raiding guilds setting foot into a mythic raid and only around 0.5-1% actually completing current mythic content. If Blizzard designed all content such that it was only accessible to this 10-15% of players they are bound to see a precipitous drop in subscribers - why subscribe if there is nothing you can or want to do afterall. If they did go that route then obviously they would have to make up for the loss in subscribers with either a higher subscription fee or less content.

    Like he said. Hard core players should be grateful casual players are still subscribed. He said that they keep the price down. The reality is they are probably the only thing keeping the game alive. I'm really hopeful that Legion can bring back and keep some players... I'm personally dreading the day they make the decision to cater to even -more- casual gamers and we end up with a F2P model.

    I really think that it's Dalaran, because if you look in the right corner, near the mountains, you will see some domes that resembles Dalaran from the game

    edit: And the blue things that appear to be emanating from the tower
