Patch 7.0.3 Live This Week
Patch 7.0.3 goes live this week, but some of the content is not going to be available until a later date. To avoid confusion, we are only covering the content that is live for the patch release. We will recap the rest of the content closer to it being live.

What is Launching This Week?
Lots of things! The bigger changes are listed in sections below, but there are also smaller things:

  • One more character slot has been added.
  • Many shirts are becoming Bind on Equip, so be sure to unequip them if you don't want them to be bound to you.
  • Many items have been converted to toys.
  • Classes that can use Mail and Plate no longer graduate to a higher armor level, they just start with the ability to use their armor type.
  • All creatures and NPCs can now be tapped by up to 5 other characters.
  • The Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza has taken a temporary hiatus.
  • Set bonuses for item sets from expansions prior to Warlords of Draenor have been deactivated, though the text describing their former function still remains.
  • Draenor Perks have been removed from the game.
  • The Mass Resurrection guild perk has been removed. Healers now have a similar ability.

What's Not Coming This Week?
The events leading up to the launch of the expansion will be released throughout the coming weeks.

  • All of the Legion content: leveling, the Broken Isles, order halls, dungeons, raids, Legion items, and artifact weapons.
  • Burning Legion Invasions and Demon Hunter Early Access (Launching around mid August, no later than August 17)
  • The Battle on the Broken Shore
  • A new PvP Season.
  • PvP Honor Talents

Major Glyphs are gone and the rules for swapping talents have changed:

Stats
  • Multistrike, Spirit, and Bonus Armor have been removed.
  • Spell Power has been removed from weapons and converted into Intellect.

Talents
  • Dual spec is gone! You can swap between all of your specs now.
  • Changing specs will be free, and change your actions bars and (optionally) transmog.
  • Changing talents will be free in a city or your Order Hall.
  • Changing talents out in the field will require a reagent crafted by Inscription.
  • Group Reagent: Codex of the Clear Mind
  • Solo Reagent: Tome of the Clear Mind

Glyphs
  • The Glyph UI and Major Glyphs are going away (Charred Glyph).
  • Minor Glyphs will be applied directly to spells now and consumed on use.

Class Trials
Legion allows you to try a class before boosting it with a short tutorial and the artifact acquisition quests.

Updated Class Models
Druids received some form updates and Warlocks have new demon models.

Transmogrification and Wardrobe Changes
Blizzard has a nice overview of the Wardrobe system here.

  • You can now hide your shoulders!
  • You can transmog weapon enchants, shirts, and tabards.
  • You need to visit a Transmogrification NPC to hide your cloak, helm, or shoulders now.
  • Old quest rewards and items you already have should be automatically added to your wardrobe when the patch is live.
  • If one color of an appearance comes from multiple items, you just need to collect one of them.
  • To collect an appearance, you need to be able to equip the item, it must be your primary armor type, and it must be obtainable and equippable by your class.
  • Don't forget to grab Arsenal: Draenor Challenger's Armaments if you are eligible.
  • Icy Veins has a gallery of many of the item models.

PvP Changes
The PvP system received a large overhaul for Legion, allowing for easier and better balancing.

  • Honor Points and Conquest Points were removed.
  • Items now cost Mark of Honor, obtained from Battlegrounds, Arenas, and Skirmishes.
  • The 5v5 Arena bracket has been retired. "Arena Master" achievement has been converted into a Feat of Strength.
  • Winning a Battleground with characters below level 110 now awards a Crate of Battlefield Goods. Players on the opposing team also have a chance to receive a crate with an increasing chance based on team score at the end of a match. The crate contains a piece of armor appropriate for the character’s level and specialization with a chance for the crate to contain additional rewards such as weapons or relics.
  • PvP stat templates are active.

UI Changes
Lots of changes are coming to the UI, so we have compiled them in a separate post.

Dungeon and Raid Changes
There are a few changes coming to Hellfire Citadel, but the mounts and heirloom trinkets will be around for a little longer.:

  • Tuning is ongoing to ensure that Hellfire Citadel remains slightly easier than it was before the patch.
  • Many of the trinkets have been nerfed.
  • Loot from Normal difficulty and higher is part of the new upgrade system, with a chance to be randomly upgraded some multiple of 5 item levels.
  • You can still obtain the Grove Warden, Ironhoof Destroyer, and Felsteel Annihilator, they change with the expansion launch.
  • You can still obtain the heirloom trinkets that scale to 110 from Mythic dungeons until the expansion launches.
  • The ability to start the legendary quest line has been removed, but you can keep working on it if you already are on the quest.
  • Normalized gold from Legacy raids prior to Warlords of Draenor. Heroic difficulty Cataclysm Raids now award less gold than before, while raids from Mists of Pandaria and Wrath of the Lich King will now award more gold.

Gold and Garrison Changes
A few changes are coming to Garrisons in this patch:

Professions
Most of the new professions content is coming with the Legion release, but there are a few things coming this week:

    Damn.

"Set bonuses for item sets from expansions prior to Warlords of Draenor have been deactivated, though the text describing their former function still remains."

That alone is enough to piss someone off. There is no need to cancel old set bonues. People worked fairly hard for those things.

As usual Blizzard doing stupid shit. Why not just disable them in older raids but allow them in shit like Timewalking? It is kinda the reason we farmed some older sets and kept certain items over the years.

Especially for guilds which lvl-stop and stay at level 70 or 80 for older content, I bet many people will be pissed and looking for private servers because of this, gg wp Blizzard lol

Hmmm. Lets hope all the Rogues/Hunters that can drop combat in Dungeons have their Engy tools ready to zap us back alive again.

So in replacement of the Gold buff from Mission, they give us 200% Garrison Resource increase...but then they are just going to increase the cost of any item that costs Resources anyway....so whats the point of us even having that buff? Might as well not even bother with the Resource increase if its just gonna cost even more...

Why not just introduce Perma Death while you're at it Blizzard

Eh.. I doubt it. Since the sheer amount of changes to Spells over the last 2 expansions most Set bonuses for anything pre-Cata were like +5-10% for X Spell.

Just to clarify, all rares now like Time-Lost Proto drake can be shared by up to 5 people and the ALL can loot him? Or is it still going to be first come, first serve basis?

When the difference is a 5 sec cast vs a 3-4min run back or people getting lost, I'd rather the res.

No kidding. At this point I don't think they can help themselves.

Ugh why, why is that login in screen going live? It's by far the worst yet.

retarded decision i woudl love to hear devs logic behind this change besides desperate try to push engineering toys as desirable for raids/dungeons - its basickly : "oh look enginering proff is shit lets remove mass ress so at least 2-3 peoplei n raid are forced to have it on raid toon"

If you had bothered to do your research. You'll know that Mass Res still exists in the game. But only Healer specs will have access to it instead of it being a guild perk.

Just now realized that this patch is putting in the Stormwind Park update before the patch that makes a part of the Stormwind park update make sense. XD

Had you had reading comprehension you would have noticed I explicitly stated that it was an inconvenience that classes WITHOUT healer specs would be unable to do it.

I checked it out on the PTR. The specific "monument" is phased out and will only appear after the Broken Shore event is completed.

    From the undocumented page :

"All garrison missions and shipyard missions that are in-progress when Patch 7.0.3 is released will experience a one-time "Fail", regardless of success chance percentage."

What? Why? Was it announce? And this explain why I lost 3 ships on the ptr, I have report it as a bug, guess it was not and bye bye all ship already in mission.
