These adjustments are part of our overall goal to bring Legendaries more in line with each other in terms of value, particularly in how their benefits apply to your primary role (tanking, DPS, or healing).

This first round of adjustments is not comprehensive - in fact, we’ve already made some additional changes since this build was put together, and we expect tuning to continue as part of an ongoing process. Still, we’d greatly appreciate your feedback on these changes, as well as on any other Legendaries that are still in need of tuning. We’ve created a separate thread here with more details on exactly what changes have been made.

Thanks, and happy testing!

    Seems legit.

They never said they were going to buff crap legendaries, they said they were going to make changes to close the gap between them.

What a joke lol. Mage legendaries - nothing changed basically. If you still don't have BiS, you're still screwed.

I keep looking at this wrong in thinking the devs are stubborn. I have come to the point that I just feel that they are actually stupid. It takes a complete moron to not fix this messed up system in a proper manner by now.

Typo on the warlock legs, you've put bonus mastery instead of haste.

Or somebody that intentionally does it grasping at straws that people will quit if they get BiS (no, they will have fun raiding and stuff) or that they will stay subbed to desperately farm for what it takes to fully enable their spec potential. I'm in a 9/10 guild and I've lost so many people due to this crap, coupled with the AP grind, people WON'T take it, they leave, play Overwatch, LoL, whatever, where they can compete at the top without this stupid RNG/farm overload.

And even like this, almost half my team misses proper legendaries. I have 2 mages that switched to Frost since Blizzard destroyed Fire/Arcane, they are wearing Prydaz for Gul'dan, G fucking G. One has Ice Time as his second, another uses Koralon cause it has some Crit and Int.

How stupidly ridiculous is that, LFR heroes have BiS legendaries, but my 9/10 Mythic raiders don't. Utterly disgusting, so wrong on so many levels, where's the past proper design where the BEST got the BEST gear?

ret pally bracers already sucked and now they shield you for half as much, so now they suck twice as much?

I like how they just slapped crit onto all the bad warrior legendaries. Crit being by far the most useless stat to all 3 warrior specs.

Adding crit to them does literally nothing to make them more appealing.

Another one of those people who seriously underestimates Prydaz.

I'm not underestimating it, it's however a legendary with 0 (zero) potential, unlike Marquee's, for example. The idea in my post is that some spec-specific legendaries are so weak, even Prydaz comes up as the better choice, both in gameplay and in sims. There's also a bitter taste for somebody that has reached 9/10M to be playing with Koralon cause they have nothing else, meanwhile people at the opposite spectrum of progress are having Lady Vashj's Grasp and Matheridon's BiS items.

Spec legendaries should truly shine in their designed niche, for example Ice Time should excel in AoE burst, Zanessu in sustained, Lady Vashj/Maggtheridon's in ST or cleave, and should ALWAYS be above utility crap like Prydaz and Sephuz. Also I don't think that Kilt, Marquee, Koralon, Vashj and so on shouldn't be so universally good and above all the competition by many miles. Nobody will unequip a Marquee for Pyrotex, or Kilt for Gravity Spiral.

Sorry for the mage overload, but this is what I play for now. Used to have 2-3 viable alts that I could always switch between, but no more. Now I have 3 specs that Blizzard just tests their interns on apparently, as they are "balanced" from upper top to bottom, and from bottom to upper top, like AP or BiS legendaries just randomly drop from the sky. Shit. They actually do sometimes, but hey, you gotta win the lottery, or just play 6 months with crap, while LFR dudes have BiS, cause Blizz are that stupid.

It's a typo, item says .4s extension per chi for SEF and .3 extension per chi for Serenity.

    ---
    Shitty napkin math
    ---
    Curently:
    2 charges, 15s duration, 1min 30s CD per charge
Average of 17 chi would be +10.2s per charge
basically looking at a 25-26s duration per charge, giving it an effective 1min 5s cd per charge
Over a 10 minute fight looking at 10 SEF.

    In 7.2 with trait:
    2 charges, 15s Duration, 1minute 18s CD per charge
Average of 17 chi would be +6.8s per charge
looking at a 21-22 second duration per charge, giving an effective cooldown of 57 seconds per charge
Over a 10 minute fight looking at 10 SEF.
    ---
So you looking basically the same number of SEF uses, but you're looking at losing around 4 seconds of SEF per use, and about 40 seconds of SEF uptime over a 10 minute encounter.

I think it would have been easiest if all legendaries would have utility and fun effects only (and higher stats of course), and were more thought for open world situations and dungeons. It is impossible to give every legendary unique effect that is balanced with all other effects but if its just utility or fun skills then it doesnt matter as end game guilds wont have any use of these yet will probably want legendary for that extra high stats which are easier to balance.

Mate, I'm already Usain Bolt on my Blood DK with Stride and Sephuz. This will make me the fastest DK in the world.

So many of the items just got another stat added to them. I feel atleast some of them could have had a more "fun" change made to them. Roots of Shaladrassil, which heals you when standing still, could have gotten a X% dmg increase when standing still aswell, I think it would fit the idea behind the legendary.
