Rank 3 Uldum Accord and Rajani Reputation Essences Now Require Revered
A hotfix implemented tonight has lowered the requirements to purchase the rank 3 version of the following new essences (rank 1 earned from the Black Empire campaign intro quests) from exalted to revered, which lessens the grind by quite a bit!

Diablo Patch 2.6.8 PTR Preview

Ivory Cloud Serpent Mount Guide
Patch 8.3 added a few new mounts to collect, but the Ivory Cloud Serpent is one of the more involved ones to find. For those who have yet to get the mount, the mogu assault will return tonight (or tomorrow in the EU) in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Here is what you need to know to prepare if you want to get the mount!

  • First you must loot a Zan-Tien Lasso from any Zan-Tien mogu in the vale. This can be done at any time, even when the mogu assault is not happening. It is a rare drop so expect to kill quite a few mobs.
  • Wait for the mogu assault to spawn in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. This is the only time that the Ivory Cloud Serpent NPC spawns in the Vale.
  • The Ivory Cloud Serpent spawns at roughly the location on the map below, at 27,55. It actually spawns quite high in the sky so it is advised to camp just below the Great Worms from Beyond, a little under the highest point of the Shadow-Pan wall viewable to the west. It is also advised that you check the custom tab of the group finder to look for camping raids.
  • The goal here is to use your Zan-Tien Lasso on the npc.
    • This item is castable while mounted, but has a two second cast time that is interrupted by moving.
    • Multiple people can lasso the npc, but it despawns seconds after the first person successfully lassos it so you need to be quick.
    • You will likely have stacks of the Great Worm flight speed debuff, but if you are positioned correctly you shouldn't have to chase it.
    • It is advised to sit in the location and spam the following macro:
      #showtooltip item:174927
      /stopmacro [channeling:Catching]
      /cleartarget
      /tar Ivory Cloud Serpent
      /use Zan-Tien Lasso
  • The NPC is super fast, and does a full loop around the Vale before despawning. If by chance you don't get it as it spawns, you could catch up to it by the Shadow-Pan wall to the west and lasso it as it flies over the wall.
  • The npc seems to have a varied spawn timer, but most have noticed it being between 2-3 hours.

  • Disconnecting or logging out will no longer change the save file folder.
  • Fixed a number of issues that would block progression or not give credit for completing missions.
    • Developer’s note: Updating a map for these types of fixes invalidates prior saves. This is similar to how replays from prior game client versions no longer work. Campaign progress will not be lost.

Custom Games
  • Multiboards should no longer crash custom games.
  • Joining lobbies for the same map no longer creates duplicate versions of the map.
    • Developer’s note: This also resolves disconnects from improper map names.

Gameplay
  • The rendering of Classic mode has been updated.
  • Resolved an issue with hitching when constructing buildings or training units for the first time.
  • Fixed Ziggurat upgrade animation in Reforged mode.
  • Adjusted animations and portraits for multiple units and buildings.
  • Units completing training while off-screen again have voices.
  • Starting locations are again obscured by the fog of war.

Interface
  • Whispers now include the name of the sender.
  • Locale settings for audio and subtitles can now be adjusted independently in Battle .net prior to launching the game.
  • Non-Latin glyphs no longer overlap.
  • A tooltip now displays when hovering over truncated text.
  • Chat keeps up with the latest messages.
  • Heroes on the match results screen are now contained by boundaries.
  • All menus are now distinct between Classic and Reforged graphic settings.
    • Developer’s note: We’ve implemented a temporary solution to better inform whether you are playing in Reforged or Classic mode, by applying a sepia tone to the background images for Classic.

Corruption Effects Adjustments Incoming

We have been reading your thoughts on the Corruption changes and have decided to hold them for regional restarts next week. We understand the impact they will make on your gear selection and agree that it makes more sense to do it at the start of a week.

Also during regional restarts, we plan to make some tuning changes to Mythic N’Zoth to better align the encounter with the changes that are being made to players’ Corrupted items.

Thank you all for your feedback on this.

Update – 11:30 a.m. PST February 5

Soon today, we’re going to make the following adjustments in a single hotfix:

  • Echoing Void damage has been reduced by 50%.
    • Echoing Void no longer deals reduced damage in PvP combat.
  • Deadly Momentum’s buff duration has been increased to 30 seconds (was 15 seconds).
  • Void Ritual’s stat bonus per stack has been approximately doubled at each rank.
  • Surging Vitality’s Versatility value has been increased by 10%.
  • Avoidant now subjects you to 20% less Corruption at each rank.

  • Reduce the effectiveness of Echoing Void significantly.
  • Increase the effectiveness of Void Ritual by a small amount.
  • Increase the duration of Deadly Momentum, so that its buff doesn’t fall off.

At this time, we’re also considering:

  • Reducing the damage done by Twilight Devastation.
  • Increasing the effectiveness of other Corruption Effects.

Again, we intend to complete these changes in the next 24 hours, and we’ll let you know as soon as we’re set on final tuning numbers.

Thank you!
