Obviusly Bolvar, just look at the leg texture. Molten Lt.-Commander leggings, and Bolvar was wearing this set @ the Wrathgate. I don`t belive in coincidences. Got to add, that my first thought when i saw a model was "So, Arthas recruiting Sith Lords now?" Of course it's Bolvar, look at the armor he's wearing, or what's left of it and compare it to the armor Bolvar was wearing at the Wrath gate. And if you ever got to Yogg-Saron and saw the Lich King vision you'd see the Immolated Champion being tortured. It's him.

Its Bolvar 100%.His Grand Marshal armor is obviously fused with his body at points due to intense heat (propably dragon fire).To all those who say "It makes no sense!Lich King likes ICE!" consider the emberwyrms.

There is no way Lavaman can be anybody else than Bolvar. ALL the pieces fit together.
What bothers me more is how does it all come together?
He clearly dies at wrathgate. You can hear him breathing his last breath while the dragons burn everything. The dragons leave. We dont know what happens as when we arrive, Alexstrasza and Krasus are there. Since the cinematic shows that all the dragons left, I guess both of them werent around when the cleansing happened. So the two go to Angrathgar
to check out what damage has been done or to see if the plague was fully cleansed. And they learned of Bolvars fate.
How come he didnt burn like everybody else? How was he taken?
I am pretty sure the Lich King didnt go out there himself. Actually it makes sense if he sent his valkyrs after Bolvars body, since that is what valkyries do. Whoever did it couldnt have done it while the fire was still raging.
So it must have died down a bit which makes me wonder how anything could have been left of Bolvar.
Enter the LIGHT. Could be connected, but then again he clearly and obviously died. So he was raised by the Lich King and BAM!! because Bolvar is that awesome the LIGHT is just THERE, y'know, just THERE.

Or I mean Bolvar, but Bolvar was actually Nefarian all along.
Could explain why he's so resilient to being controlled by Arthas.
WELL he did sit next to onyxia for a couple years and hes been MISSING?!?!? HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM It's all obvious now deathwing is bolvar YUP been hiding in his body for years under disguise, he will show his big dragon form and be the one to kill the lich king when he finally "joins" his side BAHAHAHAH SO OBVIOUS |

Imo it would be awesome if Bolvar was some (un)holy being that's just near-impossible to kill (guess the Plague did it, since it wiped out the scourge aswell) and that the Flames couldn't destroy him, but burned him and brought him back to life.

I just hope they don't pull a Vael/Thaddius/Keepers/etc... Bolvar really deserves better. None of this played out corruption/insanity BS.
This is the guy who saved you from the black flight back at 60. Who held the alliance together while the king was MIA. He led the alliance assault on Northrend. He walked up to the Lich Kings front door and called his ass out. He's at ground zero of the new super plague that kills everybody else and nearly gets the Lich King. Then a swarm of red dragons incinerate him. Next the Lich King personally tortures him for what could have been months, all the while he's still on fire from the friggen dragons.
Most anybody else would have died a thousand times over by now, but not him. When we finally free him it should go like this.
Bronzebeard "I knew you were still alive!"
Bolvar "Anybody have a spare sword?"
Tirion "Wouldn't you rather have a glass of water?"
/Bolvar glares at Tirion
/NPC gives Bolvar his weapon
Bolvar"Alright, the Lich King is just ahead, let's move out."
Tirion"You do realize that you're on fire, right?"
/Bolvar's eyes begin to smolder as he glares at Tirion
Tirion "You heard the man! Let's move out!"
