The War Within - Slayer Warrior Bladestorm Clarification

The brief Bladestorm from Frenetic Flurry will fit in the GCD from the ability that triggered it, the intent is that it should not impact your rotation. The ability to use Pummel and Storm Bolt while Bladestorming applies during all Bladestorms, not just the one triggered from Frenetic Flurry.

Likewise, all Bladestorm damage events will trigger Overwhelming Blades, including Frenetic Flurry and the additional ticks from Imminent Demise.

Thanks for the feedback, keep it coming!

NetEase and Blizzard Set to Reform Partnership
NetEase is anticipated to announce the renewal of its partnership with Blizzard later this March or early April, according to the local media outlet CoreEsports.

Highlights
  • Blizzard games will be operated in China by the NetEase's gaming division, which also runs Diablo Immortal.
  • CoreEsports claims that former Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick has interfered with renewing the partnership.
  • Marketing responsibilities will be handled by NetEase's gaming subsidiary, Leihuo Technology.
  • NetEase's Leihuo may pursue securing the IP rights for World of Warcraft in order to develop a new mobile version.

Here's a rough translation of the recent news from CoreEsports; you can find the full article here.

Since the former Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick officially resigned on December 29 last year, the last obstacle to the return of Blizzard's Chinese servers has been removed. Due to regulatory compliance processes, the best choice for Blizzard's return undoubtedly remains to reform its relationship with NetEase. However, due to the previous split between NetEase and Blizzard, the NetEase team that was responsible for Blizzard’s Chinese server operation was disbanded, and NetEase now needs to reassemble its operation team, so it is impossible to reopen the Chinese servers immediately upon resuming cooperation.

According to sources, NetEase will officially announce the return of Blizzard's games to the Chinese market at the end of March or the beginning of April. This time, the operation of the Chinese servers will indeed be managed by NetEase's Guangzhou branch, as former NetEase Blizzard executive Zhang Dong stated, while Netease Leihuo will be responsible for marketing.

Unlike the previous establishment of a special company to operate Blizzard games, this time NetEase’s two major business groups are jointly responsible for Blizzard games, which seems to be another kind of attention to Blizzard games, but it also seems to be a mutual need for both parties.

Defend Azeroth When You Defend Your Account

What happens with stolen accounts?

Thieves use stolen accounts for a variety of disruptive in-game behaviors, such as:

  • Fueling gold-selling operations by stripping characters of valuable equipment and materials
  • Performing botting activities, making it more difficult for legitimate players to acquire resources.
  • Spamming players with advertisements for unauthorized services.

These disruptive behaviors harm everyone, not just the person whose account was taken. We are committed to combatting bots, gold selling and buying, and spamming while ensuring stolen accounts are returned to their owners.

You can help in this fight!

Taking simple precautions can protect your account from being used for nefarious purposes.

General Internet Safety

If you use the same login credentials across multiple platforms, and one of those platforms is compromised, your password could be out there in the wild. To avoid this:

  • Use a unique email address for your Battle.net account.
  • Use a strong password that is unique to your Battle.net account.
  • Change your Battle.net account password regularly.

If your provider offers it, use Two-Factor Authentication on your email account.

Battle.net Account Security

Blizzard offers additional tools to protect yourself, including:

The Battle.net Authenticator is available in the free Battle.net Mobile App. Stay connected with your friends, and manage and protect your account with a single app available from the Apple App Store and on GooglePlay.

With the Battle.net Authenticator and Battle.net Phone Notifications enabled, you'll receive the feisty fiery Core Hound Pup, an account-wide pet*. After attaching a Battle.net Authenticator, the Core Hound Pup will automatically be added to your in-game Collection. You'll also gain four extra bag slots*—account-wide—in each character's main backpack.

Learn more about what you can do to help safeguard your account by reviewing our security checklist.

We're Here to Help

If you've lost access to your account, don't panic! Our support team is here to help you regain control. They will work with you to retrieve your Battle.net account and ensure your World of Warcraft characters can return to the battle!
