I've been reading this website for quite awhile and figured it's about time I contributed something.
Below are model viewer screenshots of the arena season 3 armor sets that can be found in the test realm game files.

Keep up the great work on the site Boubouille. Hope these are somewhat useful.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA, the mage looks even more ridiculous than I feared... for once locks don't look too too mean (they still look kinda cool, but blue just isn't lock-ish). I feel sorry for druids who are gonna look like village people with their little tight pants once again... and I envy the priests who, once again, have a very good looking set.
Hunters, warrs, and rogues look cool too imo. I think all pallies have learned to expect the worse looks from Blizz, well here it is! (shamans look ridiculous too)
That's it for my view on the subject.

When I saw the warlock at first I went "O_o Blizzard implemented male stripper models?" Wink

Anyways...

Nice work getting the art up, even though the models are missing some shading / graphical effects that probably will be visible in-game I like the sneak peek Smiley

Thanks!

I will not complain if warlocks could look like strippers since all other classes have gone through that (exept rogues, they've looked bad, but never gay...)
I'm gonna set up a /dance4mebitch maccro for when I meet one :-D

I'd be willing to bet the lock set is changed to a different color seeing as their is currently a pair of blue shoulders with the same texture that match lock tier6 in hyjal. This would also explain why the texture information is incomplete in the game files right now.

Arena season 1 graphics are used on Kael'thas' advisors in Tempest Keep  Shocked

That does explain the lack of warlock textures -- removed the picture.
As for the rest, the only ones wearing the recolored tier 6 in the picture of the illidari council are the mage and the priest.

I don't think blizzard would just go and re-skin all of the tier6 and label them in the game files as pvp textures for no reason Tongue

Damn, with all due respect for your work getting these pics Motto, i really don't hope that its the right ones.

They haven't recoloured the glow of the pally shoulders and crown, still that ugly yellow.. Man i was so looking forward to this, hoping that after the ridicules season 2 set, they would give us a little boost in morale by at least doing a nice colour on season 3, but my oh my I am disappointed.. Cry

Yellow, green, purple, silver... What the fuck where they thinking..

Priest is looking awesome as usual, damn I envy that set..

Pallys kept their pink glow from their tier 5 on their season 2..

Hmmm, I don't know why I didnt notice this topic this morning.

Technically, I can't really news about it, because they're not released yet and we had a few new reskins for the Arena season 2.

But I'd say it could be right on a lot of them, Blizzard added tons of different colors for each set very early in the game (actually, all the colors were available for the 2.1 release) and it wouldn't surprise me if one of the color set was used for arena sets.

Or maybe I was just too lazy and didn't check the last patch enough to find them clearly labeled as pvp sets. I'll check. Thanks a lot for the contribution anyway ^^

Wonder why warlock's armor is incomplete... the warlock arena set was the popular one: http://www.wowwiki.com/Image:MaleficRaimentBlue.jpg

I already found most of the armor but not much about the warlock, the green is missing more than the blue one...

They also have a brown one for the hunter and warrior and a red one for the paladin and shaman. I'll try to post them when I can  Wink

Yeah, I was rather hoping the red paladin one would become the arena 3 set. And it very well may. It looks much better than that ugly green  Lips sealed

I think its incredibly lame how all the pvp gear is just reskinned PVE gear.

They should make the pvp sets look much different from the PVE sets, after all both take different types of players to get them, and making the people that go and down Illidan look that same as people that only pvp a few times a day is somewhat annoying and insulting to those that made the progressions.

At least back in pre-BC you could tell a difference of what people did as far as pve and pvp play styles...  but that was when blizzard was creative.

http://www.wowhead.com/?item=17106yep.

here's what ive seen and understood:
there are three skins for tier armors, one for the genuine set, one pve alt-skin, and one pvp alt-skin (arena).
example shamans: cataclysm shoulders, merciless shoulders, and coral barbed shoulders. same model, one genuine skin, one pve alt, one pvp.

from quick browsing screenshots in random places, i can say with some confidence that the shaman, paladin, warlock, warrior and rogue armor pictures are infact the pve skin, and not the arena one. the hunter, druid and priest ones however are definately the arena skin, druids pve skin is green-themed, hunters pve skin is alot lighter and so is the priests. i'm not sure about the mages one but armor sets tend to be darker than the original ones.

er...
1: You can definitly tell at first glance whether a player is into pvp or pve more by their merciless or t4-t5 gear
2: Pre-BC all classes had the same freaking pvp armor with different colors (pllies and warrs, mages priests and lock, hunters and shamans, druids and rogues all had the same) sometimes the color wasn't even different (horde casters and druid/rogues for ally...)...

I'm much happier with the way it is now, I personally would not have liked to wear the happy looking t4... glad/merciless on the other hand does scream 'watch out, I will gank you if I see you'
