I don't want my shield, take it away please.
Now replace it with the gap closer/slow, a debuff/dispell abilities on others, and the interrupt on a short cooldown that this spec has deserved from day 1, but was denied because 'we haz bubble'.
Once we have the tools that we have always been missing in PvP, skilless wonders like the OP will be BEGGING Blizzard to give Paladins back their bubble.
It constantly amazes me how people cannot get past a 5 minute cooldown ability.

30 pages of PvP fucktards wanting their way. Arena was a BAD idea. Resilience was a BAD idea. These might have worked in other games that didn't start as PvE focussed, but they really screwed the pooch in a game that started balanced around 40 man raids.
The bubble is fundamentally part of what a paladin is in WoW from the very beginning. It shouldn't be taken away because of some mythical concept of PvP balance. PvPers please go and play FPS because you really misunderstand MMORPGs.

You're right, someone else has already said it. In fact, many people have said this.
However, there is more than one commonality between you and and the others who have said what you so redundantly decided say. That other similarity would be the ignorance with which you posted your topic. Thank you for not contributing to the discussion.
Besides the fact that what you said was redundant, I have not had a chance to debate my opinions against that particular argument as of yet; I will do so now.
Your argument is invalid. WoW is now both a pvp game and a pve game. This is a fact, something that cannot be debated or argued against. Now, if you don't pvp and you do not enjoy the challenge of pitting wits and strategy against another player, then what on earth even led you to this forum. If you don't pvp or like it, then, imo, your entire presence in this thread is invalid.
As for your argument of divine shield, I would direct you to my previous post, the one right before yours. However, I doubt you will read it, and instead will choose to reply, yet again, with an ignorant retort.
What discussion you talking about dumbass? I don't wnt to post agian what i already posted. But you will see why op is a cluess, noob, retard and maybe you too.

With this logic, you should do -50% damage when sheild wall is up.
That's a stupid reply. 1. Like someone already said, I need a shield for Shield Wall, so it already reduces my DMG output, and shield wall doesnt get you immune to all dmg. 2. The shield isnt all around me, its only on one side, so I can still attack with 1 hand.. Please explain me how you get your 2hand weapon out of your bubble, without blowing it. 3. Shield is 60% dmg reduction, not a f.ing 100% reduction bubble. AND CAN ONLY BE USED IN DEF STANCE, which ALSO reduces ALL DMG by 10%... Please.......... Dont throw stupid arguments over and over, comparing 2 different class skills.... Want to start stupid arguing? I could also compare your Divine Shield with Ice Block.........

IMO, the OP is on track. From one standpoint, one could argue that the upcoming 'nerf' of 50% dmg reduction, is more like a normalization of dmg dealt by the paladin for 12 seconds, since a paladin's burst dps (the only real dps it has) is already ~50%, if not 100%, greater than that of almost all other classes (rogues are a strong contender).
lol just needed to say this when I read your post. you're fucking dumb. lets say we have judgement + white hit+ SoC procc and a CS and they all crit. even but togheter for the durration it takes to do that it doesn't even reach the numbers a rogue/druid can crit with one ability not to say for the same durration.

Don't you ready you stupid post, so you go into def stance, so that is even more damage your absorbing and it last longer than DS, that is even more time to dps while protected. you are not immune from all but you take a shit load less, not to mention the number of stuns available to you at that time and you can snare as well. If sheid wall is not good as DS(and it should not be), its a very close contender. The shield isnt all around me, its only on one side, so I can still attack with 1 hand.. Please explain me how you get your 2hand weapon out of your bubble, without blowing it.- you are sooooo stupid, so which side is the wall on your left, right, back or front? If it in front of you, how do you hit throught the wall? if its at the side, why do you still absorb damage still. You are sooo stupid and lack reasoning.

It's not the ability in it of itself, it's more about the way it is being used. It would be fine, IMO, if they did the bubble with complete immunity to everything (including Mass Dispel) for 24 seconds, if he couldn't do anything offensive. I think the solution is to make it a 10th tier Protection talent, after all, it's just for protection, isn't it? ...and OMG, you cant compare Divine Shield to Shield Wall, because the warrior does no DPS in Defensive Stance, while pallies on the other hand...

There are 3 classes that get 100% damage immunity:
1. Paladin. Holy has no HoTs, little instants or proc based instants, no AOE heals, and otherwise very interruptable healing. Holy has more mana than it needs, but due to mobility is usually dead before mp is drained. Ret has ultra limited range, limited mobility, long cooldowns, and low mana. Prot is still not ready for arenas.
2. Mage. Iceblock makes mage completely immobile, yet allows for incoming heals and CDs to refresh. Frost gets a 2nd IB. Mages can 2 shot you from range, they can go invisible(virtual immunity), and have a plethora of stuns, silences, snares, and other outs mixed with great mobility. Mages have almost limitless mana.
3. Priest. As Holy(or split Disc) you get Spirit of Redemption. Priest must be dead and is immobile. Heals cost no mana. To get a good priest dead is a feat in itself. They have preemptive shields, HoTs, instants, AOE heals and dmg, DoTs, Fear, Fear-ward, Dispels(offensive AND defensive), also proc based shields and heals. Priests have large mana pools and great longevity. They have limited run speed, but are excellent on the move.
I'll assume the OP was indeed being constructive when he started this thread(rather than QQing).
From the 3 classes with immunity, the one that strikes me as a necessity is the Paladin, obviously.
Paladin does NOT have a counter to being hit from range. To a Paladin, being 30+ yrds from a caster allows that caster 100% immunity from the Paladin. Paladins CAN and WILL be hit by other players, there is no way to avoid it. Paladins can't run away(save bubble-hearth), can't avoid being targetted, can't send pets while immobilized, can't knockback, can't mana drain, can't enrage, can't snare beyond run speed, can't silence, can't heal-on-the-move...the list goes on.
The Paladin is granted 12 sec of immunity. If used offensively, approx 4 sec of that is used on closing the range gap...allowing only 1 dmg rotation of attack. If the other player dies within 1 dmg rotation, said player fails...not the spell design.
So yes, 100% immunity for 12 sec with a 5 min CD is acceptable when all other factors are considered.

hahahaha Let me read again... oh wait, you're serious? HAHAHAHAHAHHAA Please tell me all the SICK DPS i can do while in D-stance, with a shield and a one hander? And PLEASE tell me that I can also heal myself from 1% to 100% HP while in shield wall? AND PLEASE, tell me over all this, what are ALL THE STUNS that i have in def-stance(if not prot specced, i have 0, only 1 interrupt). and the DMG reduction of shield wall, yeah it's high, but nothing close to immune.. its around 60%, 75% at MAX with all CDs, and prot specced... I can't instantly pop a shield wall at 2% HP, heal myself to 100%, then land 2-3hits to finish the target... You started comparing some class mechanics with another class mechanics, and both classes are really different... Come on, it's like comparing frost mage's water elemental and a hunter's pet...

The problem with Divine Shield is how Rets are using it... nothing else.
I hope the 50% damage reduction while bubble is active makes a difference cause honestly it's getting kinda tiresome to PvP against ret pallies (lets face it, ret isnt hard to play...And yes, I DO have a paladin and I can faceroll my way to victory in PvP while being ret...which I avoid since I find ret incredibly boring).
Not to mention that rets have a surprising amount of stuns. In a fight against a ret pally he managed to HoJ me twice and use Repentance while he readied his heroic HoL axe. But I'll save this for some other discussion.
I agree with what theyve said about Divine Shield. Make it non dispellable but don't let the paladin attack while it is active. Make it more of a "I'm low, time to heal myself to full" kind of ability, not an "OH LOOK FREE HONOR!" ability.

You have L2p issues. You said you can faceroll to the top but can't beat a ret paladin, beleive me you will not get far. And your suggesstion is STUPID.

Great analysis... except you missed something. Pallies can kill you from behind their 12 second damage immunity, mages and priests can't.

I know you read the post, but do you READ the post? My Arc mage will wipe his debuffs clean, and 2 shot you after popping out of Ice Block early while you still have Slow on you. If I were to spec my Disc priest for SoR(being nerfed btw), I sure in hell won't be by myself...EVER! Why are you letting a bubbled pally hit you? Aside from just plain running around a pillar for 12 secs, I can give a whole slew of options you can use to avoid bubble rape. List the class and I'll give you 3 outs.
