Gathermate2 doesnt seem to be working with Arh atm and nodes are not showing, I don't know why it was posted on the front page here without due verification, there's tons of posts on curse addon site complaining about it.

Read up two posts on the previous page ..... or look at my post at the top of page 8.
It does work exactly as shown in the YouTube video, so long as the files all go in the correct place.
But yes, I do agree the instructions for the database file on the front page should be clearer.

I am still a bit confused.

There have been several times in past when a end boss hasn't been tested and bugs have gone live. I was under the impression that every attempt that is near a world first is watched by the GM's. So far the story goes that they watch but do not interject when they see a bug being abused but rather let it play out or hotfix it.

People have compared this kill to that of Ensidia's where they found the bug with saronite bombs, no one said they couldn't, they stacked a profession to achieve a world first and used a bug I am sure they thought something dodgy about it. At the same time how can the idea that Rip has the damage buff per tick not be seen as a bit dodgy? Stacking profession and stacking a class for the use of a bug is somehow different?

I will never be in a top guild, I am happy with my crew but what I find a bit off is the fact we cannot even look to these guilds for legitimate strategies because Blizz in their wisdom found that the strategies used were wrong. The Rip damage per tick was so wrong it was hotfixed ( so far as I can make out) Does this not count as an exploit to knowingly use something that gives an unfair advantage. There is nothing wrong in my view of stacking a class or profession, as long as there is skill or tactic behind it, the Rip damage buff was just blatantly overpowered and used to strong handedly trivialize an encounter.

There were several druids in that raid that were no where near geared for even heroic dungeons let alone heroic mode raid, but their bugged damage was obviously more useful than bringing a geared and skilled player.

It seems they will do anything for a kill and so be it if they want to be first.

    WORLD FIRST

pretty ingenious if you ask me

and for the rest of you qqing about "bring the player not the blah blah" or whatever, thats for the rest of us, when we're epic'd out after a couple months of farming. world first is a race to see who can get it done fastest by whatever means necessary, for nef that means druid stacking. get over it, it isnt like you were thiiisss close to world first yourself.
whatever means necessary? when did the United States Government get into wow politics?

They weren't showing up on mine until I put GatherMate2.lua file in that particular folder.

And btw, if you have over-written the GatherMate2.lua file in the normal /Interface/AddOns/GatherMate2 folder, then re-install the addon so that it puts the original GatherMate2.lua back in there.

    Hope this helps.
I've downloaded GatherMate2 and Archaeology Helper, then i've downloaded the datebase file linked in the article GatherMate2.zip, unzipped the file and put GatherMate2.lua in the folder /WTF/Account/accntname/realm/character/SavedVariables and im still not getting any nodes except from the ones i find myself. What am i doing wrong?

I've seen some incorrect answers to this question. The fact that they chose to have so many druids was because a bug with the ability "Rip". If you google the video and watching it, you'll be watching it for a druids Point of View seeing some hits cause 800k damage. Even if you were a Balance druid.

EDIT: I should learn to change page..
