This is like the worst list of oscar nominees I've ever seen in my short life. Hopefully 2012 is better.

Inception was alright, that's about it.

+1 to Inception. Amazing film from my favorite director.

The Oscars are such a sham seeing that Daft Punk is not in the Music (Original Score) category.

Actor in a Leading Role: James Franco
Actor in a Supporting Role: Christian Bale
Actress in a Leading Role: Natalie Portman
Actress in a Supporting Role: Hailee Steinfeld
Animated Feature Film: Toy Story 3 (although it should go to Dragon, which was far superior imho)
    Art Direction: Inception
    Cinematography: Inception
    Costume Design: The Kings Speech
    Directing: Darren Aronofsky
    Documentary (Feature): Waste Land
Documentary (Short Subject): Killing in the Name
    Film Editing: Black Swan
    Foreign Language Film: Dogtooth
    Makeup: Barney's Version
Music (Original Score): The Social Network (should be Tron:Legacy, but Trent deserves this one)
Music (Original Song): We Belong Together (Unfortunately, since Randy Newman hasn't written anything original for TS since the first)
    Best Picture: Black Swan
    Short Film (Animated): The Gruffalo
Short Film (Live Action): Wish 143
    Sound Editing: Inception
    Sound Mixing: Inception
    Visual Effects: Inception
    Writing (Adapted Screenplay): True Grit
    Writing (Original Screenplay): Inception

The Social Network. I'm already pleased on how it's doing, a few more awards wouldn't hurt . I just really really love this movie >.<

Inception will win two at most.

Not as much as the girl in True Grit. Although she wasn't as good as Portman and wouldn't have won, she didn't deserve to be lobbed into the supporting category.

It would be Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part I
After this movie I voted for Inception...

King's Speech will do well, haven't seen it myself but it got a lot of awards.

Hope 127 Hours gets a few, loved it.

Sadly, I expect The Social Network to make a sweep because it's about Mark Zuckerberg, everybody's favorite entrepreneur. Which is a shame, considering Black Swan was better on all counts other than perhaps writing.

Oh, and why so many Inception votes? This isn't a "want" poll.

The only two films on that poll I have actually seen are Inception and True Grit. Of the two, True Grit was the better movie (although I did enjoy Inception). I have mild interest in seeing Black Swan, The Social Network, and The Fighter... but can easily wait for Netflix.

Either The Social Network or The King's Speech will have a big, 6+ award sweep, depending on which one has the most buzz when the votes are made. It's more common than not that there'll be one big winner rather than two or three sharing a few between them.

Some of nailed-on categories (ie, I'll eat my shoes if they don't end up like this)
Best actor: Colin Firth - Franco was great but has no hope against Firth on this occasion
Best actress: Natalie Portman - self explanatory
Best adapted screenplay: Aaron Sorkin for The Social Network - again, nobody close to him in the category
Best animated feature: Toy Story 3
Directing: David Fincher - even if The Social Network doesn't win loads, Fincher has this in the bag
Costumes: The King's Speech - period dramas about monarchs always win this

Given those two choices, I hope The King's Speech gets the nod. Not that I dislike The Social Network, I just feel it's gotten a little over-hyped. It's a good flick, but it doesn't stand up well next to other films. It's also something that will be very dated in 10 years. Best picture should go to a film achievement and not a story about an internet fad that is in it's twilight.

Have you seen The Social Network? It's a character study, not a film about Facebook. It'll be as relevant in 100 years as it is now.

Black Swan should win best picture, but that fucking social network will probably snatch it so the academy feels it's going with its time.

I have, and I don't really buy that. He's an important person now, but in 10-15 years, who cares?
