Finished this build just a few days ago. Had a lot of help from the all-knowing computer geniuses here on MMO-champ (again: forever thankful for all the help).

    Case: NZXT Phantom
    Motherboard: MSI P67A-GD65
CPU: Intel i5 2500k @ 4.5GHz (will try to get this up to maybe 4.8 as it's been running stable now at 67c with prime95 for 6 hours)
    HDD: 2x 750Gb Sata III 6Gbit/sec (128Mb/sec)
    Heatsink: Noctua NH-CP12 SE14
GPU: MSI N560GTX 1Gb ti Twin Frozr II OC Edition (OC:d to 910Mhz on the core)
PSU: Antec High Current Gamer 750W
    RAM: Corsair XMS3 4Gb 1600Mhz x2

Got 2x 200mm fans in there, along with 3x 120mm and 1x 140mm (+the fans on the GPU and Heatsink ofc). The built in fan controller in the Phantom helps keeping the sound to a minimum during idle or less-demanding games.

Cable management is near perfect (much thanks to the phantom). A bit messy right behind the PSU and the HDD's, but really no cables interfere with the airflow which keeps the computer really cool, even now during the summer.

I just finished a build using that same heat sink and my god it is massive. I had to modify the fan that covers up the ram slots so it wasn't actually touching the spreaders on the ram.

It can touch the heat spreaders though.. it won't cause any issue since the fan isn't really conductive lol

I suppose I'll post pictures as well then. My baby:

    Intel i7 2600k @ 4.4ghz | Corsair H70 | SLI GTX580 @ 850 Core | G.Skill Ripjaws X 8GB RAM @ 1800mhz |
    OCZ Vertex 2 90gb | Corsair PS1200W | HAF X Cooler Master Full-Tower

Don't mind the fan cable across the 580. That's not there with the side panel on =P.

120hz on the left, getting a second end of this month and a dual monitor stand to finally be rid of those game cases and black towels I've been using as stands for almost 3 years.

Of course my DroidX doesn't exactly do the setup justice, but it's not bad. Take away flash and this all looks better in low-light.
    Intel i7 2600k @ 4.6ghz | Corsair H70 | SLI GTX580 @ 850 Core | OCZ Vertex 2 90GB (Boot)
    G.Skill Ripjaws X 8GB RAM @ 1800mhz 8-9-8-24

Well, plastic isn't conductive so that really hadn't crossed my mind. I was more worried about possible vibration affecting the memory. A few minutes with an air saw and a sander and no more contact (though it's still tight).

That's a good question. The 2GHz speed on the 2500k confuses me, too. Is that one of the default steps? I thought it was 1.6GHz, 3.3GHz, and then any of the turbo multipliers.

Well, aparrently it's not a duel channel. :> Trust me, I can see the 3 Sticks inside.

What do you mean? Mines running on 3.3Ghz, Didn't change anything yet.

    Memory

4 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 32 GB of system memory
    * Due to Windows 32-bit operating system limitation, when more than 4 GB of physical memory is installed, the actual memory size displayed will be less than 4 GB.
    Dual channel memory architecture
Support for DDR3 2133/1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz memory modules
    Support for non-ECC memory modules
Support for Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) memory modules
You could put four sticks in there, doesn't mean it'd run in "quad channel".

Most people make sure their CPU isn't at idle clocks when they take a CPU-Z validator snapshot. Most people.

3 RAM sticks in a Sandy Bridge setup means your RAM is running in single channel mode. To my knowledge, 4GB dual channel is better than 6GB single channel.

I see, is there any way to configure it to get better performance or just more money?

Sandy Bridge only works in single or dual channel modes. So you can either remove one stick of RAM or add another to get it into dual channel mode.
