    TOR leaders?

Will there be any? I couldn't find any information about possible leaders to each fraction, like an emperor for the Sith or a Senate for the republic. Please don't break the NDA. If it's unknown at this time, feel free to speculate.

Both faction have certain leadership roles, but if you're thinking about any WoW-related leadership figures that you can raid.... well not at launch, simply because you can't go to the capitol/starter planet of the opposite faction.

In other words, the Empire can't go to Coruscant and the Republic can't go to Dromund Kaas.

I don't like the WoW model of raiding/killing the leaders, cause it had no point. However when i first started playing wow i was excited when i got quest from them or delivered quests to them, made me feel like i was making some progress with my char. So for example if i play a sith warrior, taking orders from the emperor himself would be a tad more "interesting" then from you avg. NPC.

Well, from your example, the Dark Emperor has spent the last 20 or so years in seclusion, so you really won't see any of him. However, you do interact with his Dark Council on a regular basis, and the same is true for Jedi.

For the Sith, leaders r the dark concil, twelve sith lords if im not mistaken. For Republic, there is the chancelor and the master of the order, Sateele Shan. Leaders, but im eager to see major figures, like Malgus, The Trooper from the trailers, also the Smugler, and a lot more

The Sith emperor, and probably the Republic Chancellor.

Here's a few. It's a mix of companions and major plot characters. These characters appear in quests in the game, so much of the information on them is covered by NDA.

So if you liked taking quests from faction leaders in WoW, TOR's going to be like that, but a lot more involved.

I highly doubt a group of Republic noobs will be able to raid the Emperor. He's too far away from even Empire players as far as we know.

Maybe Satelle Shan or some other Grand Master will be a raid boss. Maybe.

Yeah, last I heard is the empire leader is of course the Sith Emperor and the Republic is Satelle Shan.

Raiding a faction leader is just moronic from an immersion perspective. You band together to kill the faction leader, all right, and then in 10 minutes she's back on Tython and it's as if nothing ever happened. I don't think it makes any sense in TOR, and honestly it doesn't make much sense in WoW either (although WoW has the privilege of just ignoring the story line completely).

Raiding a faction leader is just for fun, there is nothing to do with the story

Nope, the Empire the leader is the Emperor, the Republic the leader is the Chancellor. Shan is the leader of the jedi

Game is pretty much built around story. Even the PvP has a lot of story behind it.

http://www.swtor.com/info/holonet/bi...cellor-janarus - Supreme Chancellor Janarus, pretty much the leader of the Republic.

The Empire doesn't have a leader per-se, but the leadership is the Dark Council. Here's one of the members: http://www.swtor.com/info/holonet/bi...es/darth-jadus

At least that's what I understood of it. As others have said, you can't raid faction leaders.

You don't NEED to kill an important lore figure. Just fight her enough to trigger a dialogue or an escape. She lives for a fairly long time anyhow, thanks to the comics' info about her

Satele is just one of several people who lead the Jedi forces, seperate from the Republic. The Emperor is the leader of the entire Sith forces including Sith force users

Oh you will be disappointed... I'm sure of it.

Scratch what I said earlier saying the Empire doesn't have a leader. Appearently they do have a leader who nobody knows who he is. ><

    In a sense.

We know the Empire is led by a mysterious Emperor that no one knows who he is. It is also led by the Dark Council, a group of highly powerful and influential Sith Lords that take their orders directly from the Emperor.

As for the Republic, Satele Shan is the Grand Master of the Jedi Order. There are hundreds of Senators in the Galactic Senate and I'm sure you'll run across a few on Coruscant. The leader of the Senate is the Supreme Chancellor of the Republic and it is unknown whether this person will be in the game or not.

Like other people have said, it won't be like WoW.

There won't be a smuggler leader or even necessarily a Miralan leader or anything like that.
The only leader-like people I have heard of is that in before the game or in the game itself Satele was/is the jedi master leading the Jedi.

There will also likely be a chancellor and a sith emperor. The problem is that the Sith empweror is shrouded in mystery so it's not like hes sitting in a castle somewhere handing out quests and waiting for the republic to raid him. Satele on the other hand may be too quest/story central to be killable by raids who feel like it. I dunno (or can't remember) anything about the chancellor but I'm sure he/she will be in a similar boat.

As far as world NPC killing I don't think there will be much of that in game. I even read somewhere that world PVP will be restricted so jerks can't go around mass murdering low levels too. Seems like some planning for decency has gone through on the game, it's nice that however small it may seem it will promote less jerks playing the game.

Still kinda sucks we can't invade the enemies' home planet.
Why am I back here, I don't even play these games anymore

The problem with the internet is parallel to its greatest achievement: it has given the little man an outlet where he can be heard. Most of the time however, the little man is a little man because he is not worth hearing.

Considering there is a truce now between the Empire and the Republic i don't see raiding enemy leaders anytime soon if ever. Plus you would need a whole fleet of space ship cruisers to attack one sides home planet.
