Ok since we got a bit too unruly in the old one i'm making this one. Though there are some new rules. That primarily exist to prevent trouble.

However to well just read this

Just like to add to all of that, Have fun! It isnt all gloom and doom and rules. Feel free to talk about any and all anime related topics, just use some common sense and keep it clean and on topic. Talk about your favorite (or least favorite) series, or characters. Compare who you think could kick who's arse. Tell use your anime related stories and so on. The last thread just got way outta control so we need to reel it back a bit.

And his words are quite true. So yeah have fun but don't break any of the big forum rules(preferably none of em but you get the point).

1. Do NOT spam images/videos/music use THIS thread http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...Chat-Thread%29 if you must and make sure they follow forum rules so no hentai or borderline keep that for other places(i will provide a link to one later)

2. Do NOT ask for anime requests here we have a thread for that already and here is the link. http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...request-thread

3. If you simply MUST share things with the folks here in a non private way that scream potentially bad instead use our usergroup on MAL http://myanimelist.net/clubs.php?cid=27783. It IS private so message/friend request either Sorrior,Matron_Laylie or Synaia Please note that i am ONLY posting this link to make things easier to handle here i am NOT intending this as any kind of advertisement. Oh and for the sake of making things easier for the mods MAL is work safe in and of itself so only members should be able to see anything untoward if even then. This club IS NSFW hence the private setting.

4. NO OFF TOPIC CHATTING if you simply MUST do this then please try and use either the MAL group or find a better place on these forums.

5. DO NOT post ANYTHING illegal or outright againt the rules here. Because after all we are still on MMO CHAMP and ALL other rules apply not like they suddenly go away because we're on an anime thread. Also I will NOT provide links or give advice of where to ask(though you may guess what i'd have to say anyways). Also please do not talk about PMing such material again there are other places for that.

If any mods feel more rules are needed feel free to modify this post in any way needed to make it viable.


Now some warnings to prevent trouble.

Do NOT use the Anime-planet sig here it is too large and will get you into trouble(has happened to a good many of us. Similarly the premade ones for MAL are also too large. So just warning you. Alot of us have taken to making our own or requesting that they be made. Try using MAL for that that or the non request thread i posted above.

More warnings or precautions shall be added as needed.

Last is some advice

Ok so of course you don't need to read the whole thread but please realize that most likely your favorite series has been mentioned at some point or we know of it. So please don't just show up and ask why we're not talking about it. Instead maybe ask what people think of it or some other more constructive ways. You should find alot of like minded people that way without ruffling too many feathers as well(we had some trouble with this in the old one created alot of one off posters)

Manga is indeed fine just be wary of spoilers and unlike sy i won;t insist you say it's the manga.


Okay now that the BS is outta the way lets get this party started. Oh and if you feel i missed ANYTHING just tell me.

I guess i'll start with asking what people think of how this season is going so far.

I for one am rather enjoying it and TBH need to start watching some of the other series out there. I also wish Eclipse would get the new shana out. May refresh after this.

Fall season is absolutely amazing. This is my first season of watching airing shows but I have found all of mine to be amazing. Guilty Crown, Fate/Zero, and Boku wa Tomadachi are my top 3 but the other 5 are close behind. They are all well done. Sadly winter season is not the greatest of seasons I have only found 3 I really want to watch.

As for this season, what I have seen has been great. I am only actively following a handful of series because I prefer to marathon them once they are completed, but I did check out the first couple episodes of a number of series and have quite a list of things to watch. Of the ones I am following, I think it goes without saying I am loving Ika Musume. Working has also been really funny as has been Ben-to

The one series I think has been really great that I think may have been a bit overshadowed is Hunter x Hunter. It is a remake/relaunch of an older series, both based on a long running shonen manga. With this new version they are really speeding through the plot (this is a good thing as the beginning, like most shonen, tends to drag) and have already got to the point where all 4 main characters have been introduced and the basic plot is in place. Highly recommend if you are a fan of the genre. The manga was created by the creator of Yu Yu Hakusho so if you are a fan of that series, you will likely enjoy HxH as well. Killua is awesome btw.

It is still a bit early for Winter as most series do not start till after the first. Winter is usually not as big a season as Fal either. Still, there are a number of series I am looking forward to including the final Zero no Tsukaima season and Nisemonogatari, the long awaited follow up to Bakemonogatari.

Highschool DxD looks promising. But the ones I am really looking forward this winter is the Steins Gate Special(Hopefully a beach one) and the K-On movie.

I think my first was back in 08 or 09. Gundam 00 and Code Geass R2. I also fell in love with eclipses subs at the same time.

To be honest I don't care what sub group I watch because I don't even know half the time. I only wish I could have watch Code Geass R2 as it aired. Though I am really glad I picked up all these shows this season. Partially due to all of you yelling at me to watch the subs.

To be honest I don't care what sub group I watch because I don't even know half the time. I only wish I could have watch Code Geass R2 as it aired. Though I am really glad I picked up all these shows this season. Partially due to all of you yelling at me to watch the subs.

I have it on DVD but yet to watch. And yeah i missed the original as it aired. Was a fan of code lyoko and thought they were related somehow or it was a knockoff(yeah yeah i know no need to beat me up over it) LOL. But yeah various reasons i put it off till i saw it on CN and then well boy howdy was i introduced to a whole new world of anime via downloads.

Heh, thanks. Yeah Mouretsu Pirates is one of the ones that caught my eye as well. Ano Natsu de Matteru has the most generic description ever, but I like the character designs. And Baby, Kill Me Please! sounds and looks like a silly, comedy Gunslinger Girls and I gotta know what thats all about.

I have yet to see a pirate anime since I had skipped over one piece. So this show might be a nice change of pace. And a comedy Gunslinger Girls? I am sorry but that is not cool. Gunslinger Girls whole atmosphere is what made the show awesome making it into a comedy would just be ugh...

On topic Sorrior you have to watch Grenadier. It is only 12 episodes and has a really awesome main girl that kicks a lot of @#$...

@Longview To make things clear we can talk about the same things we were discussing in sys thread as long as its SAFE? Like I know we would get off topic on some days but we would always go back to it. Is that alright in this thread as long as we maintain the no picture rule? Just want to clear that up.

I've been afraid of becoming one since whenever I started interneting in the early 2000's, they were always flamed in the places I hung out in.

There's nothing wrong with cartoons (does all otaku people cringe when you refer to anime as cartoons?), but I spend waaay too much time listening to music to actually watch stuff (my "list of movies to watch"-list has like 300 movies ).

(oh, and sy plays in my guild!)

Yes Yes we hate it when you call anime cartoon. If I could I would give you an infraction for that blasphemy talk. I used to be a huge T.V and Movie watcher myself. But when I got into anime all that went away totally sucked me into an awesome culture.

Anime watchers are just misunderstood. Most of the people who don't watch it think of it as childish shows or Hentai. Which is completely wrong. Please man if you ever get the time try Code Geass ask Sy about it since he is an anime watcher too. Laylies guild is meh right meow.

Ok skizzit your gonna love me. I think I am going to watch that Squid Girl anime you are obsessed with next.

Would just like that clarified so I don't make a mistake in the future Like the stuff that has happened so far in the thread is that considered all right for this thread?

I just don't get the difference between anime chat and anime discussion. I thought the whole point of moving the other thread was because of the offtopic chat and picture spamming. You are all making poor laylies brain hurt shame on you!

Is anyone else getting more and more dissapointed with every passing episode of Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai! The first one seemed fun but then it just kind of stagnated and nothiong really happens in the rest ;p

I was just using Gunslinger Girls for comparison sake. It is not related to Gunslinger Girls in any way, they both just feature school girl assassins. Description of Baby, Please Kill Me "Kill Me Baby is a 4-panel style manga that follows the comedic life of a typical school girl Yasuna and her assassin classmate Sonya. Sonya’s attempt to fit in often fails when her natural assassin instincts kick in and Yasuna’s attempt to be more friendly with Sonya often gets her hurt or intimidated."

The cartoon thing doesn't really bother me much. It isn't as bad these days since shows like South Park and Futurama have made it so the idea that cartoons = kids shows doesn't really apply for most people anymore.

Just think about what you are going to type. If it is not about anime, then it really should not be in here. Most people most likely do not come into this thread to read about someone else's day or what they ate for lunch.
