I think I'll go to a concert if a band I like ever comes to my hometown, but I wouldnt go alone at first. But I guess some of my friends would follow me. This year Amon Amarth came here, but I messed up the date and missed it... that would have been my chance.

But I'm still not sure if I want to be in a moshpit or something, a friend of mine told me of his first one. He was drunk as hell and jumped right into the moshpit, then he got hit by and elbow right on his nose and the evening was over for him <.<

Also I think I wouldn't really freak out in the crowd^^ I'd just headbang a bit.

Yeah, same problem here. I live in a city where the metal community is next to nonexistant, at least we don't get ANY concerts here, ever. Last time I've been to a concert was Muse last year if I remember correctly, and even for that we had to drive to Nijmegen in the Netherlands.

Considering the moshpit: Yeah, start it slowly. But every once in a while you don't have much of a choice when the pit forms around you. Keep your head up and stay away from the guys with the arms up high, and you should be fine. Trust me!

Yeah, they were really, really, REALLY awesome. I've never seen a band that was just so... playful, for a lack of a better word. If you ever have the opportunity: Don't miss it. It is seriously awesome, these guys know how to put up a good show. And the music is fantastic too!

We don't get much around here either. Then again, it's Alabama, I'm guessing not many rock bands care to come. Except Theory of a Deadman. For some reason (I think they're Canadian), they're always here. And a local band (Birmingham anyway), Lynam, who are really good. Kind of like Ok Go with a little less punk to it. And yeah, I'm aware most people won't know any of those names
